Using ABP the strongest build is a two-handed weapon build. So powerattack and bastard sword or great sword are your best choices for a melee fighter.

Right. But she worships Iomedae, so she's gonna be using a longsword.

I looked at Swordplay Style, but it really sucks. Iomedae's Inspiring Sword is cool, and it doesn't look like it has any prereqs... but I'm thinking I'll take that as my 5th-level feat.

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

As a heads-up: Today is my last day at mthe first job I ever had. I've worked here for just shy of nine years... But I've decided I need to move on to a job that pays better... As a result, I'm going to be picking up a lot more hours at work, changing my schedule in the process, and ultimately having a lot less time for those things and people that I love. That being said... I'll become less of a post hog in the majority of my games. Things might change in the future, but at the moment, I'm hoping to continue playing in my games.

As a DM, I don't plan on disappearing or anything. I'll just have less posting time.

Also... Still waiting on you, Lein.

Okay! I'm done, audit me!

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

Audit wasn't as hard as expected.

1) Does the Secrets Inquisition have any deity-based requirements, as all the old Inquisitions do? 'Secrets' really, really is not thematic of a person granted power by Iomedae, especially since her worship is definitely not outlawed in Cheliax.

2) You've overspent a bit. The reason I say this is because you've spent a little over 1400 gold. And while this would normally be fine, the actually worth-while loot that the party gained has been significantly lower than their WBL would suggest. Unless we include the ravens, of course. There are also several pieces of gear that were snatched up, but taken by those who left... but can be redistributed, methinks. Most specifically, the person with the 'tailored' item burned through a significant chunk of his starting wealth using that wand, which makes me more consider it an offsetting piece of wealth. :P

So I'll offer you a choice: You can either go back to 1000gp for your wealth and 'share in the loot' of the previous adventure's escapades, or you can stick with where you are, and we can assume that Tobias took one of the Ravens before he was tooken™.

* * *

All that being said, what do we want to do about the loot that was snatched up by Misha before she got disappeared/became an NPC?

Female Elf Aasimar Chronicler | hp 81/86 | AC 15, touch 13, ff 13, CMD 19 | Fort +7, Ref +10, Will +8 | Perception +10, darkvision 60ft., Init +2 | SP 7/10, Performance 14/14

1.) The secrets inquisition isn't on any of the lists, but that might just be because it hasn't gotten edited yet. I can change inquisitions, probably to the Persistence inquisition if you would prefer.

2.) I'd rather stay where I am and not get one of the Ravens. That makes more sense to me.

Unless it's critical to the story, I'd say just let the Misha loot vanish, and sprinkle some extra loot in to make up for it over the next 2-3 loot encounters. That's what I usually do.

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

Re: Inquisition: It fits a great deal better for your chosen goddess, and she's ultimately the person who gives you the inquisition. That being said, Secrets likely fits your theme better... so while I'm hesitant to have the 'Goddess of glowing longswords' give you the Secret inquisition, rule of cool applies... at least a little. I'd prefer you changed to something more fitting, but don't want to harm your interest in the character.

I'm ultimately uncertain of a reasonable way to add Asmodia prior to the group's next mission, but it makes a lot of sense to meet your character as someone who had the same idea. :)

@Rebellion!: At the moment you're down two members, leaving each of you to slide into the roles you desire. Remember that you can change jobs, but it requires a rebellion action to do so. In addition, there can be any number of recruiters at once.

Scath is slotted for the Spymaster position.
Armon desired Partisan most, and now that Tobias is gone, that's open.
Lady was good with either Strategist or Recruiter.
and Victor going somewhere.

That leaves each of you choosing a position to fall into, which can change weekly. We need to determine this before we perform any rebellion actions for this 'week'.

I am not locking the Rebellion into 'Security Focused' after the first week. Next week I will want a permanent answer once everyone has wiggled their positions and come to understand things better... in addition to having the Heiress's position more formally locked in.

Your coffers begin with all of the money that you turned down from Rexus, leaving the group with plenty of wiggle room for running the organization... at least for now.

At the moment, the group can only make one action during your activity phase, unless someone is in the Strategist Position, in which case you get two.

Your currently available actions are: Earn Gold, Gather Information, Guarantee Event, Recruit Supporters (recommended), Recruit Team (somewhat recommended), and Deal with an Event.

In addition to the Fushi Sisters who act as a team (Earn Gold and Gather Information), you've also gained two important allies. Allies provide constant bonuses, or activated bonuses, while Teams allow you to perform special actions.

Laria Longroad improves your reputation with the downtrodden, granting a +2 to Loyalty checks when using the Recruit Supporters action.

Rexus Victocora is skilled at keeping his head down, helping the group's Notoriety score by one every week (to a minimum of 1).

HP: 29/30 | AC: 16, touch 14, flat-footed 13 | Fort: +5, Reflex: +6, Will: +2 | Init: +3 | Perception: +5

I think Victor would either take Sentinel or Strategist if Lady Juniper doesn't want it.

Female Elf Aasimar Chronicler | hp 81/86 | AC 15, touch 13, ff 13, CMD 19 | Fort +7, Ref +10, Will +8 | Perception +10, darkvision 60ft., Init +2 | SP 7/10, Performance 14/14

I'll go ahead and switch on over to the Persistence inquisition.

As for Asmodia, yeah, I agree that running into her (her being The Heiress, of course) at the job site seems like the best kind of introduction for her at this point.

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

@Victor/Misha/Armon... and possibly Scath: I need to know what actions you as the leaders of the rebellion would like to take this week. With someone in the strategist position, you get two actions (I listed your options above). I'm really open with how we handle the rebellion, up to and including just making it window dressing rather than using the full-on mechanics for it. It's ultimately up to you guys how we handle it, but I need to know before we push forward. :)

We should use the full on rules to start, if some seem dumb, we can drop them later.

Scath would prefer to investigate and build up knowledge, maybe take out a few guards (Thrune's guys, not the poor look for purse snatchers town guards) in the dark. Quiet like, no bodies, no blood, nothing... and in random locations, so no one neighborhood get's the 'bad rep'.

Scath is probably also busy organizing the first real theives guild in town...

I think that recruiting supporters seems to be the logical first move. I still don't know if we have a strategist (since Juniper hasn't said anything yet) but if we do I'd suggest the second move be earn gold. We need people and resources to get anywhere.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Cleric (Evangelist) 3 | HP 30/30 | AC 15, T 11, FF 14 | Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +7 | CMD 14 | Init +1 | Perception +3 | Channel 5/5 | Performance 13/13

Ugh. Sorry, I've been really neglecting this, haven't I? Not for lack of interest or anything, just a bit of a rut.

At any rate, I am in agreement with Victor with what to do with the rebellion. Maybe Armon should wear a mask so he can proselytize in secret. :P

I'm still disappointed that Amateur Vigilante wasn't a feat in Ultimate Intrigue. Then we could be masked rebel leaders by night and dashing socialites by day.

Yeah. At a glance, a one-level dip would get a good deal of the social flavor. Is that a bit much? Maybe.

The idea probably wouldn't hit Armon until he meets Asmodia (or rather, The Heiress), though.

I'll try to doublecheck all the rules I'll need to use tomorrow and get a post up in around... 8 hours? Something like that. This week is looking to be between 61 and 63 hours... and frontloaded. :o

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

Will try to use my Kindle during breaks to read up on rules. Slept too long, need personal hygiene stuff, etc. Sorry! Update when I can toss it out.

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

Recruit Support: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 -10gp
Number: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) = 9 supporters gained!
Earn Gold: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 +10gp

I set people in the roles that were most statistically advantageous. This left the Sentinel and Recruiter slots open. If anyone would like to change their position, let me know. here is a link to the rebellion sheet.

Next week, the Ravens will almost assuredly level up, gaining several little things, including a bonus skill rank, so be thinking about that. I still need to know what lead the group plans to follow. I apologize if I'm being dense.

So, we recruited 16 people, and need to break them into teams yes? Is that how it works? And I assume right now, we can only put them into Tier 1 teams? Additionally, we can only have two teams right now? So we have more people than we can field for the moment. So we shouldn't recruit anymore until we have the ones we have utilized?

I would suggest two teams, one sneaks and one freedom fighters. That keeps our stealth DC higher, and utilizes 9 of our 16 people. The freedom fighters can reduce danger, and the sneaks can secure cache.

This seems like a pretty good plan honestly. I would suggest our next team be street performers if possible, as we could benefit from some ears on the street once we get some basic resources settled in.

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

You actually have to spend an action to form a team, and you can only form teams if you have enough supporters. :) I need to head out, I'll deal with other stuff later. :)

Female Human Mesmerist 3 ( Custom Cult Master )

Would it be possible for us to get an 'inside man' ?

Inspire Courage (+1 Hit/Damage and Will v. Charm and Fear)

@Juniper: Sort of. Normally, those sorts of people will be specialists in that sort of thing, though there are spies. There are also specific people that you may lure into supporting you (like Rexus, or like the Fushi sisters.). Sneaks become Thieves which either become Saboteurs or Spies. Spies are a long way away, probably - though they are ridiculously nice.

@Rebellion: You could form multiple teams. It requires the 'Recruit Team' action, though. You'll still gain some supporters (because, duh!), but it won't generally be even close to the Supporters action. Unfortunately, it does take an action. Fortunately, you should have three at the end of next week!

The number of supporters you have, and your membership are different. If I botched that at some point (I think I did!), sorry about that. Supporters could be literally anyone you pass by in the streets, while Members play an active role within the rebellion. (Fans v. Roadies)

Recruiting requires a DC check based on who you're trying to recruit: Sneaks are DC 15 secrecy and is a team of 3. Sneaks work as smugglers, initially.

Tier 1 Revolutionaries (Freedom Fighters) unlock the Reduce Danger action, which allows you to reduce the chance of events occurring as well as reducing the chance of a random encounter occurring. They require a DC 15 Security check to snatch up.

There's still lots more, too!

Sorry I haven't updated at all. Really tired... but I'm tired of being a lazy slacker.

To clarify, I'm asking which of the two adventures I listed you were interested in pursuing. You have two 'obvious' options that I handed you: Investigate the burned out buildings, resulting in perhaps gathering useful information and the like, or go to Sallix Saltworks to end a bit of indentured service.

If no one picks in the next few days (counting picks as votes), I'll just 1d2 it. :)

Scath would likely investigate the burned out building (I think I said that earlier). Given his form, trying to free prisoners is more likely to cause a panic that get's them killed stampeding each other than it does anything else.

I know there's been a lot of radio silence from me lately, and it's one of those things that kind of upsets me more than anything. I keep meaning to do things... but I keep deciding to do other things, instead. Like sleep. Or go to the store.

My life has become constant work, with most weeks being well above 60 hours, and I just don't have the time to be a good DM right now. I can see about returning later, if things change... but for now, it's not fair to anyone involved for me to 'want to' instead of simply doing. That... and I'm tired of constantly being disappointed in myself for not updating. So... I can give you guys a PM if you're still around if I ever develop more free time, but for now... I'm going to have to put this game on pause.
