Tarnagius is unhappy.

Appearing next to Phillip, the little blue faerie dragon appears to help save his friends. Using his magical powers, he launches sparkling sand into the eyes of the 4 Tieflings. Although each gets a little woozy, only one falls asleep.

Meanwhile, an unsettling tune emanates from above. Dozens of squeaks start being heard, and Phillip can see swarms of rats darting from the waste to the upstairs.

"Booze and candy? That sounds like a splendid time! Don't you worry, Mr. Phillip, I'll protect you!" Says the silly little Vendalfek.

At that moment, the three Tieflings rush out the door to swarm Phillip. Vendalfek tries his best to stop them, but the poor faerie dragon doesn't even manage to latch on with his teeth. From up top, the speaker leaps down to behind Phillip, however he messes up the landing and falls hard on his face.

Meanwhile, Jules easily leaps through the broken window without drawing any attention. He hides behind a ridiculous pink couch made to look like a pig. The rat swarm either doesn't notice him, or don't seem to care.

The crossbowman reloads the crossbow, but does not fire. Instead, he takes out a vial of some sort and applies it to his bolt.

The music continues to play.

Everyone's turn.

Pylos. I can't believe it. You hit. I'm not kidding. You get a +4 for attacking a prone opponent, and a +2 for flanking with Phillip. It's the flanking bonus that makes the difference.

Pylos charges forwards to Phillip's aid by unleashing a snap from Kyda's Nine Lashes. Although it snaps at the prone Tiefling, it doesn't kill him. Meanwhile Tarnagius dashes over to protect Kethaera, while Jules continues his stealthy approach.

To the side, Vendalfek hurriedly conjures the spitting image of Kethaera swinging away with a longsword. However, the Tieflings easily spot the flaws of his illusion and just ignore it.

Again, the music continues to play. The rats all leap off the roof of the building to swarm the Tieflings.

All attacks against Phillip miss as he swiftly dodges and parries them. Pylos however isn't quite as lucky, as he takes a slice into his side. The prone Tiefling stands up to continue the attack, and even though Phillip and Pylos swipe at him, they both strike his armor. The last Tiefling on the roof fails to notice the sneaky Jules, so he shoots down at the faerie dragon. However, the tiny critter is just too nimble for the crossbowman to possibly hit.

Everyone's turn. Jules is now close enough to strike.

Tarnagius moves until he is out of range of the crossbows then hoists Kethaera onto his shoulder and hauls for the Church of Abadar.

Got jumped by a gang. Abadar's people won't sympathize with them, and worst case scenario, any medical treatment can be paid for at Market Value.

The Temple of Abadar was a fairly consistent ally in his days in the capitol; since their loyalties were with the legitimate authorities virtually constantly nobody was ever their enemy, so if you could pay for their services they were available regardless of your allegiance.

Jules draws his shortsword and stabs the Tiefling in the back, resulting in a loud cry of pain. Although he didn't die from the attack, Jules' sword is coated red with blood.

Pylos gives a wicked lash across the Tiefling's face, knocking him right off his feet and into unconsciousness. The Tiefling that Phillip targets, which is no longer down, dodges away from Phillip's axe although didn't expect the incoming dagger afterwards. He clutches his side and staggers around.

Vendalfek becomes desperate, and flies over to Phillip and exhales a breath that smells like extra-strong flayleaf. All 4 people (Phillip included) get... really really high. In fact, you barely even notice the rats tear down one of the tieflings beside you. Yes, the music is still playing. Phillip is now Staggered, Sickened, and Immune to Fear

Now it was Phillip's turn to lay on the ground. With surprising skill, the Tiefling knocks Phillip's legs out from under him. Despite the advantage, the other Tiefling is simply to high to make an accurate attack. Up top, the crossbowman drops his weapon and draws a short sword. Then, he fakes out Jules, hoping to land a good strike after.

Tarnagius hauls Kethaera towards the church of Abadar, no one seems to be following yet.

ROUND 1

Round 1 everyone begins with just getting as far away from the Humbright as possible. For most of you, this is treated as "No Obstacle". However, Jules and the Tiefling Rogue must each make DC15 Acrobatics checks to jump off the roof without injury. This won't cost an action to make, but failure results in damage and 0 progress.

The Tiefling Rogue spent his action loading and poisoning his crossbow. Treated as Full Round Action. Vendalfek prepares to cast grease when the raven takes off. Blosodriette's actions are unseen, but you notice that the music has stopped playing.
