Great game in the beginning - nice group of players. Unfortunately, a couple went MIA and I had to close the game down before I wanted to. I was looking forward to a much longer game and eventually a campaign.

Grabs me great! What do we need for next level boss?? :D

And thanks for the map, LOTS of unexplored areas still! Whoo-hoo!

I believe we agreed to do the "medium" progression, so level 2 comes at 2000 xp.

And yes, lots more to explore - but you guys are clipping along at a good pace.

sorry I haven't posted. Saturdays suck for me, and then I was out of town most of the day and night last night over at the wife's parents. Against my will. :(

Hey folks - just wanted to let you know that I am aiming at the end of June to finish up this game. I am offline a lot through the summer and don't use a lot of my free time for gaming - spend most of it with my son and enjoying the beach life.

From the lack of posting, I get the sense that some of you are not that interested in this adventure. I understand that RL often gets in the way and takes priority over everything else and I'm fine with that. Looking back, I should have made it clear that this is a dungeon adventure which can sometimes even go slower than the already slow pace of a PbP. I apologize for not announcing that.

So...I need to know who is still on board and wants to finish the game and who is not really "feeling it" and would prefer to depart or just end it.
You can post that here or you can email me privately at yankmychain at gmail dot com.

I promise you won't hurt my feelings if you are ready to move on or you have some disgruntlement about the game. Please feel free to speak your mind - after nearly 30 years gaming and DMing, I've heard it all and do not take offense easily. :)

I'm still in, man! I'll keep posting as long as you are.
But the nice weather beckons...i understand that too.

Sometimes I post a bit less frequently than other times depending on the rhythm of my schedule. I am entering the busy part of the schedule...when I work alot - which means I post more! It's great to get paid as I play RPG's on the internet. I love it!

Maybe if Brankh wasn`t firing up the bong we'd be moving a little more quicky!

Keeping the pace going with PbP is a real challenge isn't it? At the moment I am planning to start something up as a DM....perhaps in September - maybe sooner. I think when I do it I will post some playing times on a schedule...you know...like how University professors post their visiting hours. The game would progress at the usual snail's pace....but players might congregate at certain times.....

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

Hey man - I envy your job. :)

Yes, keeping the pace and interest of players is always the challenge in online games (even f2f games!) and I've been doing this for about 12 years and it's an endless challenge. I'm not complaining; it's to be expected. That's why the attrition rate of PbP games is so high.

Im still in.
When work gets busy for me, I am either traveling somewhere or having to work outside most of the day so I usually will read and if I am not needing to post, I may just let the rest continue on, adding my two cents when needed. Please don't take this as lack of interest on my part.

I am in this game to the bitter end.
I do have a bunch of other pbp games I am in so sometimes this one can slip behind my attention, but I do check the boards frequently so if someone posts, I will usually catch it.

I dont think anyone has lost interest in the game at all. Saorise is busy at school a lot but for the most part I think all of us are posting at least once per day, sometimes twice. The only days I have problems posting is holidays, saturdays, and when I'm unconscious. :)

I'm still in, however if you are finding it to be too much on your plate to continue, I understand that too.

M Brownin (Half Pale Skin/Half Dark Skin) Healer 8/Merchant 3

100% still interested and into finishing this game HK (and all) only problem for me has been lack of regular net access where I'm living. Only get net when I head into town, which is usually not everyday. If Catila's frequency of posting is causing any kind of problems though I can try and come into town more often.

As well, I'm planning on moving back to Canada for the summer at least, so regular net won't be an issue.

Let me know if there's anything in particular I can do to help make this game better for all.

Otherwise, I'm loving it! And I think eveyone else feels the same, it seems clear. So Game on! : )

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

Sounds good folks! Glad to hear from 5/6 of you! Not too much on my plate, Phil - just wanted to make sure folks were still connected. You know, as you get to be my age (just shy of 50), you need a little reassurance every now and then. ;)

Let's keep it rocking!

500 in game posts! Whoohoo!

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

Bumping this discussion thread back up to the top so I can find it without doing a search! Hope everyone is having a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend!

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

I will be out of town the weekend of June 3-5 - I will try to check in on Saturday/Sunday morning but will likely be "unplugged" for the weekend.

Kinda disappointing to return and find only three responses to my last post nearly a week ago...

hard to respond for thorin, as he is tending to saorirse and has no idea what's going on in that room. we are waiting for your reply man.

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

I apologize for my lack of posting this week. This week has been the week from hell - it is the last week of school and we are running around like chickens with their heads chopped off trying to get everything done! After the weekend, I'll get back in gear and finish this battle (which could effectively end the adventure since is THE big bad dude - hint, hint).

always nice to enter a boss encounter at half health

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

Yay! You killed the BBEG! And will eventually wipe out the rest of the crypts - your group is pretty solid and very tough - even though there are a couple of strong encounters, you should be able to handle them w/o too much trouble.

From the laboratory of the alchemist - Should anyone detect magic, you will find the following:

From Svilennius:
Spear +1
4 Potions: 2 CLW, 2 Enlarge Person
Wand of Command Undead (13 charges)
Vials of: acid (2), alchemist fire (2)
Tanglefoot bag
Thunderstones (2)
Masterwork studded leather
Alchemists kit
masterwork embalming tools
Formula book > contains the formula for the following extracts: bombers eye, expeditious retreat, shield, crafters fortune, CLW, enlarge person.

From other sections in the ossuary (should you decide you want to clear out the rest), you will find the following:

Scroll of Ghoul Touch
Scroll of Mage Armor
Masterwork Silver Dagger
Bracers of Armor +1
Cloak of Resistance +1
Scroll of Delay Poison
Phylactery of Faithfulness
Scroll of Hold Portal
Scroll of Identify
Scroll of Remove Disease
Scroll of Shatter
Masterwork Banded Mail
Masterwork Bastard Sword
Scroll of Remove Paralysis

Enough gold and jewelry worth approximately 4000 gold pieces.

Your total XP for the rest of the ossuary (including the last battle) is: 2500 xp each!

Congrats and thanks for the adventure!

I dont know how we are going to divy up loot, but there are only a few things thorin would want. he'd would like the bracers, and some gold. Didn't the priests tell the party they were going to pay them as well? I know I was excluded in this, but it would be nice for everyone who forgot.

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

Yes, there was a monetary reward.

Thanks for the game HK, it was great.
Hope to see you guys around in other PbP.

On no! Hey so sorry gang! I was traveling around and didn't always have net access. Just didn't realize that a whole week had gone by since Catila's last post. I would really love this game to continue. HK you are a fantastic DM and all the players were great.

Please accept my apologies all if my absence led to the closing of the game.

And also please accept my thanks for a really great and fun game while it lasted.

Catila thanks you too!

Male Mountain man Woodsman/6

Thanks Khaladon - I had a good time.
Safe travels!

M Brownin (Half Pale Skin/Half Dark Skin) Healer 8/Merchant 3

Ah, I added another post but guess it didn't take.

I had said "PS, I´m also moving back to Canada in a couple of days so I wuill have permenant net access from now on. So if you happen to ever run any other games HK I would be excited and honoured to be included again in one of yours."

And it's da Truth! ; )

Over a year ago, this game came to a premature close. Any of you fellers still out there? What games are you involved with?

I'm currently running two games:
- A 1E game on rpol.net following (loosely) the "L" series of modules
- A 2E game via email set in the Forgotten Realms, adapting the Pathfinder module, Hollows Last Hope

I'm also play in three games:

- Two 1E games on rpol.net
- One game here - ran by DMLocke - just started - it's set in Tethyr in the Forgotten Realms - very exciting!
