Male Human Monk (unchained) 11

So... Qinggong Power, Barskin at an opportune time before further battle, then on the surprise round charge at the enemy straight ahead (since you can apparently charge as a standard action if you keep to regular movement speed. AC up 4, temporarily down 2 due to the charge. But if Eirik wins imitative next round, even that won't matter.

Action 2

Prepared for battle thanks to Noravia's blessings and his own defensive Ki manipulation, Eirik sprang into immediate action once he saw the enemies. Dodging past the noble ahead of him, the monk rushed at the demonic enemies, the measured regard of his mask hiding his teeth bared in a fierce grin as he found himself looking forward to the chance to test himself, this time against enemies obvious enough to his tastes.

Eirik's charge brought him up close to the enemy, and the monk used the bearded devil's bulk to stop his momentum by applying one booted foot to the creature's stomach, then followed the initial rush with a crushing blow to the devil's face.

Melee, unarmed, charge: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 15 + 2 = 21 Enemies are flat-footed so this should be a hit with comfortable margin.
Damage, unarmed, lethal: 1d10 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + (6) + (2) + 1 + 1 = 14 Ignored DR as usual

Stats

Action 1
Caleb looked around, ready to strike out at any Dottari who approached while Noravia prepared. Fortunately - for them - none appeared.

Action 2
Caleb's mind lashed out as he prayed this time he could find purchase in minds slick with the sheen of Hell - but once again his magics slid off the evil psyche.

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/10

Action 2:

Knowing that Vandomir would most likely make use of his newly acquired ranged weapon, she moves to the front of the group prior to the door being opened. She had done what she could to protect them all from the effect of the devils and now she'd engage them up close. Knowing they used reach weapons, she knew she had to get in close and do it quickly to make sure her attack was useful.

Once the door was flung open, she rushed into the room and infused her weapon with her hatred for evil outsiders before she slammed it into one of the devils.

+1morningstar frost,bless,bane: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 1 = 26
damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (4, 2) + (4) = 14

The inquisitor's attack was true and the morningstar sizzled against the devil's flesh in a gratifying way.

Bane isn't once per day, it's number of rounds=Noravia's level. She only used it for 3 rounds so she should still have it for 5 round.

I think the frost part of her morningstar may do extra damage to the bearded devil but I'm not completely sure.

Also, can you please confirm when Noravia used all her judgments? I thought she had one left...

Action 1
Tillia considered what she could do against these devils and then had a very good idea. She looked at her companions and said, "Do not go in immediately, let me cast a spell first and then proceed with caution." She smiled evilly, "I'm going to try and open a pit beneath them so they'll fall in. With any luck we can get one or both of them trapped in it and make dealing with the a bit easier. Just make sure to stay back from the edges, the ground will slope in towards the edge and make footing precarious."

Action 2
When the door was opened Tillia quickly began chanting while holding a miniature shovel and, below the feet of the two bearded devils, the floor suddenly dropped away into a pit ten feet wide on a side, thirty feet deep, and lined with razor sharp spikes.

I cast spiked pit, the origin point is the corners where the two devils tokens meet. They get a reflex save, DC 19, to avoid falling in and move to the closest, unoccupied square. I don't know that both of them can get to a square because of the size of the room. They risk fall damage for 30 feet and take 1d6 piercing when they try to climb out, a dc 20 climb check.

Action 2

Vandomir was ready as the door came open. As soon as he saw the devil, he let loose a well aimed arrow...

+1 Adaptive Composite Longbow Hit: 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (17) + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 = 32
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 + 2 + 6 + (5) = 20

... which struck hard, but he wasn't sure if the fire had done anything against his adversary.

Vandomir quipped at the startled creatures in their native tongue, "surprise hellspawn." He added for his companions in the common tongue, "I hope they go down quickly and quietly."

There was little else that Tillia could do to effect the fight just now, there simply wasn't enough room for any more of her spells to be used, so she shifted back to keep watch behind them while the other's dealt with the devils.

Don't forget that if the devils, or anyone, end their turn adjacent to the pit they need a reflex save of 19 with a +2 bonus to avoid falling into the pit.

Male Human Monk (unchained) 11

Enemies get to go first, so I'm assuming there remains someone next to Eirik to strike... if not, could try to jump the pit to try to get to an enemy further away.

Damage, unarmed: 2d10 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9, 7) + (5) + (1) + 2 + 1 = 25

Dodging low to avoid an awkward strike with a glaive the devil was forced to hold close to the blade to manage the weapon's length in the close quarters, Eirik slammed his fist into the bearded creature's jaw as he rose back to his full height, feeling the jaw bone crack under the weight of his Ki-infused strike.

A straight up fight against his favored enemies? Now this was what Vandomir had been wanting for a while. He hurled arrows from the flaming bow as rapidly as he could...

+1 Flaming Longbow Hit: 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 = 24

+1 Flaming Longbow Hit: 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 - 5 ⇒ (11) + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 - 5 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 + 2 + 6 + (4) = 16

...all three of them sinking into the demonflesh and causing their enemies much harm.

"I'm glad you cast that spell on my weapon," the noble said, "it sure makes the arrows hurt more."

Vandomir fires 3 times at the closest enemy. If the first one drops, then he'll adjust fire into the second.

Noravia knew they didn't have time to relish the quick death of one of the devils because the other one disappeared and they couldn't get to it because of the pit.

She could tell that infernal was being spoken but couldn't make out what was going on. What she did know was that it probably wasn't a good thing.

Looking concerned she asked, "Should we go around to get to it? It may warn the others."

Action 1
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Tillia knew exactly what that devil was up to and knew that they couldn't afford to let it succeed. With the thing out of view she said, "It's summoning help, we need to kill it now." It was times like this that she wished some spells could be dismissed, sadly her pit wasn't one of them. She then hit on a different idea and focused her mind as she chanted. When she was done a plane of ice appeared spanning the gap across her pit to the other side. "Go, get him!"

Casting wall of ice as a flat plane to create a bridge across the pit. If I could dismiss the pit I would, sadly the pit spells are not dismiss-able.

If Tillia casts the ice wall...

Vandomir wasn't sure how she knew, but he was sure that what Tillia was telling them was the truth. "Yes dear, right away dear," he said with a wry smile as he moved across the newly created ice floor. He came forward to where he could see the creature casting, and he fired...

+1 Flaming Longbow Hit: 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (14) + 15 + 1 + 2 - 3 = 29
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 + 2 + 6 + (2) = 16

...the arrow struck the beast, and hopefully disrupted the spell.

Should need a difficult concentration check, right?

Male Human Monk (unchained) 11

Jumping was indeed the plan, but yesterday got... interesting... at work so no time to post.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27 Should be plenty to get past the pit

As the devil in front of him fell to its death, Eirik took half a step back and leapt over the pit, heading for the sound of chanting in the distance, hoping to close the distance before the other creature could finish whatever it was in the process of attempting.

Assuming one move gets Eirik within reach, he will naturally attack.

Melee, unarmed: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33

Thinking of having Caleb try the jump as well - he does have +14 to jumping at the moment. Not sure if there's an ice bridge though...

Action 1

Vandomir was impressed at how quickly they had taken down the two devils, but their work was far from done. "Excellent job my friends! On to the next task."

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/10

Action 2:

Noravia assessed their wounds and decided they could wait for the moment. She moved towards the door, "Vandomir's right. We should move quickly while Milani's blessings still protect us. According to Elsbeth there were more bearded devils on the ground floor. They can't be allowed to carry out whatever nefarious plan Thrune has."

Stats

"Noravia's right. Better to face them individually now than all at one - and the Dottari are all in plain sight. Some of us are looking a bit the worse for wear, but I think we can make a run for it. Give me the Glaives, and I'll hide myself and them." Caleb looks grimly at one of the dead devils "Dare say they'll come in handy come midnight."

Just planning to use Vanish. Tillia, if you want to carry them and go invisible properly, feel free.

After a gap...
Caleb turned to Tillia "On the other hand, Tillia might be able to convince some of those guards to turn coat. Might be worth doing that first... but I think we want everyone to fight those devils."

"Agreed. The human guards could be reasoned with, or they might balk if asked to turn against unarmed guests. but the devils remain a threat and the three are the closest," Eirik said, but keeping to himself the thought that it'd be good for the rebellion to leave some devils alive so they might be defeated after they had started the expected massacre so that the people could see who was defending them and from what.

I wonder if we have time or opportunity to try for the last devils, or if we should just find good places to make our entrance once the battle begins.

ANSWERS...

You could be in either E1 or D3; that is what I need to know.

What did Caleb use to be invisible? it took the party (being ushered by the dottari and in the middle of a crowd) about 2-3 minutes to get to where they ended up being.

There's no time to try for the last devils now that you got 'caught' in the crowd when the dottari started herding everyone to either E1 or D3.

Just let me know if you will hear the rest of the speech or take an action for 'actions 2'

I'll agree with Caleb that we're on E1.

Action 1:

Noravia tried to keep pushing her way through to make it to the ground floor but the wall of flesh they were presented with in the form of numerous party guests stymied her efforts. "It looks like we're not going anywhere except where the crowd takes us," she said sadly.

Action 2:

The inquisitor narrowed her eyes as what looked like Nox took their place beside Thrune. "What happened to her?" she murmured. "I have a bad feeling about her being here."

Caleb wrote:
"Stay close." Caleb whispered to Eirik and Noravia. "When he looses the hounds, I'll get you close enough to kill him."

Noravia nodded her understanding but there was definitely worry in her eyes as she could see the doors being locked. To the others she warned them, "Something bad is definitely going to happen because the guards are locking us in. If people panic, people are going to get trampled and killed because there's no place to go." The inquisitor looked around the room to see if anything or anyone could get into the room after the doors were locked. She tried to sound hopeful when she said, "Maybe if we can't get out that means nothing can get in."

Sorry for the delay, I meant to get a post up yesterday but got repeatedly sidetracked every time I sat down to do it.

Action 1
Tillia knew the time had come, this wasn't going to be pleasant but she felt they were ready for it. It was a good thing that they had dealt with a number of the devils already as this was going to be ugly. She followed her friends as they entered the balcony area and prepared herself for trouble.

Action 2
As Brassy began talking and the doors were locked Tillia knew it was time. She knew that getting those doors opened was of great importance, she said to the others, "I'm going to try and charm one of the guards for a key, watch my back just in case." With that she made her way towards the guards to one one of the stairways down.

Not sure where we actually are on E1 so which ever stairway down is closer. Also, are there doors on these stairways that they have locked and how many guards are at each one?
