Rowan is the warpriest. I posted my backstory a little earlier so if you can tie in then I'm good with that.
Hmmm, that's going to be tough to slip into. I think Imma go with Shelyn for now. Shelyn covers Art, which arguably includes architecture, so not a bad choice for a member of House Jarvis. But that doesn't mean I can't be swayed once we meet!
I've got my crunch posted in my profile. Need to write up a background, description and such.

More info on Kintargo to set the scene.
It's a small coastal plain wedged between mountains and a very cold ocean, so the weather doesn't get too hot in the summers, but winters get pretty cold. It's cloudy almost all the time thanks to the ocean winds and nearby mountains, and almost every day is marked by thick fog and light drizzle. The precipitation is mild enough that most locals make do with wool cloaks and coats instead--umbrellas are a sign of visitors, and are quickly torn apart by the ocean winds. Thunderstorms and blizzards are extremely rare, but so are sunny days.
Mold and mildew are the biggest enemies for homeowners, and most houses and businesses use cedar shavings or charcoal to try and manage humidity and musty smells. Food is plentiful thanks to the ocean and fertile, rain-soaked plains, but also spoils quickly thanks to the climate, so much of the city's traditional cuisine involves more salt, vinegar, or alcohol than other parts of Cheliax, and bread is less of a staple than rice and grains.
The city itself is pretty hilly, and lower streets (especially Old Kintargo and Redroof) tend to flood in the rainier winter months.

Standing just over six feet tall, with a muscular frame, Vandomir is an attractive man. His widow's peak is evidence that he will not have the black hair for too much longer.
”Being the distant nephew of the family matriarch, Baroness Belcara Jarvis, has both benefits and drawbacks,” considered Vandomir. ”On the one hand, I can always throw her name around and show the family signet when needed, but on the other hand, I’m not entirely convinced she would recognize me and know me by name, if she didn’t have her major domo to remind her who my parents are.”
”Vandomir of House Jarvis,” he would introduce himself as, whenever called upon to meet new clients, give estimates for the time and expense of repair or new construction, or more rarely to represent the family at inconsequential social events. Sure, he had taken advantage of the formal schools that were the birthright of one born to his stature, how could he not? He cavorted with the youth from some of the other major houses of Kintargo, but really made no lasting friendships. They never understood his love of art, self-expression, or the tales that could be told through that art. All they saw architecture for was a means to keep their roofs up and to impress their neighbors with their wealth. ”Why use a simple Tuscan column, when the intricacies of the Corinthian made it appear so much more expensive?” He had heard it a thousand times from the idiots who simply couldn’t contemplate the understated majesty of the Doric column, or how the addition of two simple vollutes could transform it to the Ionic, and that the gaudy additions of the Composite were simply unnecessary. Sure, there was a time and a place for the more complex orders of architecture, but not in everything!
Vandomir grew up with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth. Tutors, nannies, and private chefs were all he knew, until he went out to apprentice as a stonemason at his father’s insistence. ”You can’t run the business, until you have done the business, his father would tell him. Getting out and working stone himself was one thing, but being exposed to the common people of Kintargo was something else entirely. And what was even more amazing was being exposed to the greater Kintargo. The city itself was alive. The Greens may have been planned, but Old Kintargo just happened, and the feel of the two districts was entirely different in Vandomir’s bones, not to mention the smells. It didn’t take long for Vandomir to become practiced enough with basic repair, so that he could be dispatched throughout the city to work jobs large and small. Whether creating cobblestones with a worn look to replace damaged ones in the Yolubilis Harbor area, covering over graffiti in Redroof, or reattaching a broken limb onto one of the statues in Temple Hill, Vandomir did it all, and he loved it. He felt free of his family, but he also felt like he connected with the city and its people. Which was odd, because he never felt constrained and needing to be free before.
Thus, it was with a heavy heart when he was told by his father that his apprenticeship was done, and that while he could continue to learn the trade as a practitioner on his own to achieve Mastery, that having become a Journeyman, he had enough credibility to start running the business itself.
It has been several years since the big move, and while he gets out to conduct business fairly often, it is rare that he mixes with the people as he used to love to do. Nor can he afford to spend the time just sitting on a street corner and drinking up the sounds and scents of the city he loves. So when news of the protests in Aria Park reached him, he knew there would be damage. Damages need repairs, and repairs mean profit. Who better than House Jarvis to make that profit? Besides, if he went out there early, he could possibly watch how the damage occurred, which might hint at the best way to repair, plus he could get an estimate in to the city faster. Untold to his father along with those valid reasons though, was an ulterior motive. To feel the passions of the crowds, something he has missed for a long time.
Not the most affable man around, Vandomir is a fairly open person. He still has a haughty air of superiority about him, believing he is better than many, just because of his birth, but maybe he isn't as bad as some of the nobility.

As Hero Lab doesn't yet have the Hell's Rebels stuff in it yet, I did have to manually add both the Campaign Trait, and the Campaign specific Noble Scion feat in there. Most likely, over the next month, whenever the next update comes, those items will become native to the App.
With respect to the "reasons to protest" choice in the Players Guide, I tried to write my reason to fall in line with "Staying up on current events" although neither of those bonuses are super useful for me.

Thoughts:
I like him! He'll fit right in.
BTW, I'll be checking stats this weekend for those that are ready.
So far stats are ready for:
Vandomir human male ranger;
Rowan human female warpriest; and
Tillia human female wizard.
I'm still waiting for:
Kaldar Cailean human male cleric;
??? human male psychic sorcerer, and
Eirik human male 'unchained' monk.
Questions?
Game on!

I wonder if any have read Blood of the City one of the Pathfinder Tales novels?
Anyways, the main character is an Urban Druid, and like many of their novels, you can watch her gain levels and understand how maybe one of the least intuitive archetypes works.
I intend to lean on that resource a bit for my Urban Ranger. We often associate Rangers and Druids as working together in the wild, so why not in the city? Had there been more room for it, I might have tried an Urban Druid, but with archery needed, Urban Ranger it is.
I've got an Urban Ranger in PFS, but he is largely just a bag of stats with a personality that doesn't scream "mystical connection to the city." Vandomir will be quite different from that!

No, I haven't read that novel. I did read a novel in and about Ustalav and another related to pirates when I was DMing Carrion Crown and Skull and Shackles respectively.
Once I'm through reading this 'material' (setting, companion, etc.), I'll probably look for a novel to add material to the game.
Is Blood of the City about Kintargo? Does anyone know of any novels in Cheliax?
Game on!

Fabian Benavente |

It's not in Kintargo, no.
Dave Gross's books about Jeggare aren't set in Cheliax, but he is a half elf Chellish Baron in the Pathfinder Society.
Yes, I actually read the book where Jeggare goes into Ustalav.
I'm hoping they will release some novel in Cheliax to 'accompany' the two APs.

Great fluff! I've sent you comments on the crunch part.

Fabian Benavente |

Crunch is done, will email shortly!
OK, I'm only waiting on the crunch for Kaldar and Eirik at this time.
Now that I've read the first part of the AP I have a better idea of the power players, timeline, etc. so I 'may' make some subtle changes to your backgrounds. I'll let you know individually about this.
The other thing I noticed is that there's fair amount of 'just go with it' on your part to make this group go (especially at the beginning of the story). You'll basically will 'have to want to save Kintargo' from Thrune. Hopefully, your backgrounds and personalities (and 'willingness' to work with the AP) will remedy that.
Basic Timeline Summary
Present Day -10: Last day when lord-mayor, Jilia Bainilus, was seen, now rumored to have left town.
Present Day -7: The Thrashing Badger (tavern), the Silver Star (music store), and the Victocora Estate burned down during the night, rumors point to Thrune agents.
Present Day-7: Paracount Barzillai Thrune comes to town and appoints himself new lord-mayor. Martial law is instituted.
Day -5: Seven edicts are issued.
Present Day: Public protest.
Questions?

Caleb Cage |

I've written a background that is bound to Kintargo, and that Hates Thrune.
Bit worried there'll be a "now go to this nearby forest" adventure.

Special Abilities
--------------------
Bonus feats Deflect Arrows, Dodge, Improved Unarmed Strike, Stunning Fist
Evasion If a monk makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, he instead takes no damage.
Flurry of Blows a monk may make one additional attack, taking a –2 penalty on all of his attack rolls, as if using the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. These attacks can be any combination of unarmed strikes and attacks with a monk special weapon (he does not need to use two weapons to utilize this ability). For the purpose of these attacks, the monk's base attack bonus from his monk class levels is equal to his monk level.
Historian of the Rebellion Your familiarity with rebel groups allows you to grant a +2 bonus on an Organization check of your choice once the party reestablishes the Silver Ravens during the first adventure. You can change which check you assign this bonus to once at the start of the rebellion’s Upkeep phase. Your time preparing for joining the Silver Ravens has also honed your skill at remaining unseen. You gain
a +1 trait bonus on Stealth checks, and Stealth is always a class skill for you.
Honored Fist of the Society You increase your ki pool by 1 point.
Stunning Fist You must declare that you are using this feat before you make your attack roll (thus, a failed attack roll ruins the attempt). Stunning Fist forces a foe damaged by your unarmed attack to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier), in addition to dealing damage normally. A defender who fails this saving throw is stunned for 1 round (until just before your next turn). A stunned character drops everything held, can’t take actions, loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, and takes a –2 penalty to AC. You may attempt a stunning attack a number of times per day equal to his monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels he has in classes other than monk. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits cannot be stunned.
Unarmed Strike a monk's unarmed attacks may be with fist, elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may make unarmed strikes with his hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply his full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all his unarmed strikes. Usually a monk's unarmed strikes deal lethal damage, but he can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with no penalty on his attack roll. He has the same choice to deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling. A monk's unarmed strike is treated as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.
Standing 6’2” tall, weighting 230lbs, Eirik’s Chelaxian blood strongly favors his family’s distant Ulfen ancestors, giving him a tall, heavy-boned, wide-shouldered body that hides a core of well-hones muscles under a portly appearance. His eyes are deep brown, his hair a lighter brown hue, worn long and woven into thumb-thick braids in an imitation of what he prefers to think the Ulfen fashion. A goatee and a wide, bushy mustache compete for the position of prominence on his chin.
Eirik prefers simple trousers and shirt of grey or black hue, soft leather boots and a knee-length, short and wide-sleeved black hooded robe, with a long strip of white cloth tied around his ample waist for a belt. For weapons, he carries with him only a pair of steel kamas.
Eirik Clausen was born in Andoran, in a small village a day’s ride from the grand city of Augustana. As the fourth child of a family of farmers struggling to make ends meet, he was sent off to a nearly monastery of Abadar to be raised and trained as a member of the Judge of the Gods’ clergy. Eirik accepted his fate solemnly – it wasn’t as if he were never to see his family again. Indeed, in the years to come he would often be allowed a few weeks from his studies and duties to help his family with the harvest.
Young Eirik took to his new duties and responsibilities seriously, enjoying the availability of knowledge and not minding the copious amount of work required of a very junior acolyte. But he never took to heart the teachings of the faith, finding in himself respect for the deity’s teachings, but little love for him and no burning fervor to follow the path of a cleric. The elders of the order saw the truth of the matter and had already decided to let Eirik go once he reached his majority and finished repaying the expenses of his education to the temple, but one master took an interest in him.
An elder mystic who in his youth had studied the way of personal perfection as preached by Irori’s followers, master Alexar took Eirik under his wing. Under his tutelage, Eirik began exploring the ways of war and proved a suitably skilled student. During the next decade, he devoted himself to mastering what Alexar chose to teach him, and availing himself to the temple complex’s library of tomes and scrolls of history and philosophy. He found himself particularly immersed in stories about the rise and fall of nations, and treaties of cultural and social development during the crucial years of a country’s birth – all too often from the ashes of another, earlier civilization. He became convinced that people progressed the most during times of duress, seeing conflict and suffering as the birthing pains of progress.
Thus, he eyed the developments across the border to the west with mixed feelings. The otherworldly presence behind the throne, the delusion of past power and glory, a child ruler on the throne, no doubt ripe to be molded and shaped by her “advisors”... could there be a country more likely fall into chaos or under the iron heel of oppression? Thus, he reasoned, in all that darkness hid a spark of true majesty, ready to be lit into roaring blaze by the very acts the authorities would no doubt seek to use to suppress it.
Eirik approached his master with his intentions, and seeing the youngster’s mind was set, Alexar at least sought to channel Eirik’s attention. The master had stayed in sporadic contact with certain Irorians he had known in his youth. He knew they lived and worked in the far-off city of Kintargo, as members of the Sacred Order of Archivists. Thus, Alexar convinced Eirik to head to that troubled city, where he at least might find some goodly folks to shelter him.
Eirik readily agreed to the suggestion and prepared for the journey, under the truthful guise of a visiting clergyman to Kintargo’s Abadar community. He had also memorized certain names and contact information to get in touch with his master’s Irorian associates once he had arrived and established himself in the religious community... but by the time he arrived, much had already changed. The iron heel of local rule had forced his master’s friends into hiding – if they were still alive in the first place. All Eirik knew that the methods of establishing communication yielded no results – and he was careful enough not to persist in his efforts, lest he attract attention of the unwanted sort.
Still, Eirik stayed in the city, for he saw in the oppression and fear fertile ground for resistance to take root. His ties to Abadar’s temple offered him some measure of legitimacy and protection, and his education and his knowledge of laws and regulations brought enough work his way to satisfy his simple needs. Indeed, he would more often than not volunteer to represent a poor convict in court for free, enjoying the chance for verbal swordplay, for no matter how oppressive the goverment was, it believed strongly int he letter of its laws.
Thus, Eirik bided his time, waiting for the spark that would light the city ablaze...
Eirik is a thoughtful soul, opposed to rash action, and a firm believer that the needs of the many trump the needs of the few and that the purpose of laws is to serve the people, not oppress them. He prefers to keep his distance and let others take the forefront of action, but even he can be pressed into action by wanton cruelty or injustice.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude.
I'll tone down the "bound" then. Perhaps a slow weakness when he leaves.
I'm thinking maybe I should change Profession (Smuggler) to Profession (Fixer) or something. I mean it in the shadowrun sense of a professional fence and middleman. Possibly Black Marketeer or something?

Eirik Clausen |

Too much money... anyone got a good suggestion what to buy?
A monk doesn't need weapons or armor, and a city-centric campaign doesn't really encourage one to stock up on camping supplies - more reasonable to have to buy them if and when our path takes us closer to nature. I guess I could invest in a couple healing potions or something, but... Or should I just save it for the rainy day.
What to buy for a young lawyer / cynical political historian wannabe? ;^)

That's a good one! :)
You know that the new vigilante class is set up for that situation exactly. There's a new book coming out later this year with it and other info pertinent to a campaign such as this one.

Not quite what I had in mind ;^) I'm drawing some inspiration from a certain Audubon Ballroom member. But will have to see how things turn out - after a few round of posts, a character tends to start to flesh out properly.

It was either SKR or JJ who said some years ago that while they may fall into many different forms, there should be a "MW Tool Kit" for every skill out there. for some skills the kit is spelled right out "MW Thieves tools" and "Climbing Kit" for example. There are books for +2s on the Knowledge skills.
For the "hard" crafting skills are easy to envision what the kit entails: hammers, saws, needles, etc.
Anyways, up to the GM I suppose.

It is a legal security thing. I'm a librarian and the entire state library system high-ups are forbidden to use Google for anything (luckily, I am low enough on the food chain as to not be affected).

I have found forbidding people to use public clouds to be futile - the fellows always find a loophole, and it's just a question of how annoyed they get before they get what they want and how many working hours they spend trying to accomplish it ;^)

The turn recaps come out twice (at most three times) per week so it's no big deal for me to send them to you via email.
Let me know what your email address is and I'll send them to you.
The reason I use the turn recaps is because it provides a medium where I can write the turn 'as a chapter' in an ongoing story instead of reading through disjointed posts. It also allows me to send pictures, maps, keep track of effects, abilities, consumables, etc.
Rest assured that the rest of the game is played on the Paizo boards.

Kaldar Cailean |

Turn 000
Action One
Kaldar saw it coming a mile off. Of course, you couldn't miss it in his circles. Among the low end dives and taverns he frequented, part of the underground Cailean church, he heard all the rumors. Martial law took the gossip mongers by storm, it was all the people could talk about. A few well-placed drinks enabled the curious cleric to learn all of the spontaneous protest forming in the park.
It made him pause, in the gloomy half light of the illicit bar. A protest, in Cheliax? Such things didn't happen, he knew that full well. His mind flashed back to his previous life, a life under the iron hard rule of the priesthood. They would never allow it, the Hellknights would crush any protest as if they were crushing a rebellion....right?
Maybe not in Kintagro. This bastion of independence and culture, so unlike the rest of Cheliax. Maybe the people really could force a Thrune from power. Or at least make demands without being crushed by insects? For a long moment he stood, tankard in hand until a impatient patron accosted him and took it with a grunt of disapproval. Begging his leave, Kaldar left the bar and headed to his small, squalid room to prepare. He would never miss a chance like this! he thought, grinning.
Over night, he mentally prepared himself. Praying hard, he asked his patron god for the magic to help others unless (if) this protest went badly. He prayed for increased strength as well, knowing it would be fully needed. Grabbing his secret holy symbol (and hiding a morning star and longspear in his clothes) he took off for the protest place.
0 Level Spells prepared, Create Water , Light, Detect Magic, Enhance Diplomacy[i]. First Level Prepared, [i]Enhance Water , Cure Light Wounds, Burning Disarm, Bonus Domain Spell, Enlarge Person
Action 2
That the protest was actually there, stunned Kaldar. He had really doubted it would happen. After taking in the protesters however, he looked around. Where were the Order of the Rack, descending with sword and spear? Where were the priests, directing devils to tear limb from limb? What was going on? With this weird, half paranoid half-amazing feeling, Kaldar plunges directly into the crowd trying to see if there was any leader, anyone in charge. Was it just a spontaneous meeting like his drunks suggested? Surely not, surely there was a powerful force behind this challenge to the Thrunes? Putting on his usual smile and quickly started to blend into the diffuse crowd. For all of his information gathering, he kept a close eye on the Opera House however, expecting a full crackdown at any minute but unable to pass this up.
[ooc] A little clumsy but the first post is always a bit stiff till his finds his voice.

Tillia |

Turn 000
Action 1
Tilia was sitting in the garden at Songbird Hall, she'd been living on the grounds for a year, ever since her flight from her master and his execution at the hands of the local Hellknights. It had been a rough time, trying to work through the mental damage the bastard had done to her, all those years of enforced servitude, of cooking and cleaning, of serving him in bed, it had all taken a great toll on her the only thing she didn't regret was the magic she learned. Yes, it had been hard, but she had a friend who had helped her from the start of her time here, Alinza.
Alinza was a lovely woman, a priestess of Shelyn...and she was late. Not like I didn't expect this to happen, Tillia thought, it's par for the course. Sitting there, Tillia watched the songbirds flit around, listened to their songs, and did her best to relax, something that rarely happened until the last few months. She happened to catch a glimpse of movement out of the corner of her eye and turned her head at the last second, catching Alinza as she tried to startle her. The priestess was wearing her favorite outfit, a loose flowing white dress with various ribbons streaming from it and several ribbons bound into her long brown hair. "I'm glad you made it Alinza, I expected you about half a bell ago. It's lucky for you I didn't see that handsome priest, what was his name, Michael, Mikus...oh that's right, Marcus! I'd have had something else to do," she gave Alinza a wicked little smile, "or some one." Alinza looked scandalized at the suggestion but offers a hand, which Tillia takes, and helped pull the woman to her feet.
"I just heard the most disturbing news, it seems there's going to be a protest rally at the opera house today. Apparently they want to try and force the new governor to remove his new laws." Alinza seemed overly enthusiastic about all of this, "I plan to go and help keep the crowds from rioting, several others are as well. Will you come with me?"
Tillia looked at her friend with a worried frown, "I can't talk you out of this can I?" When Alinza shook of her head Tillia sighed, "I don't want to," Alinza frowned seeming upset and earning a second sigh, this one of acceptance, "But I will. Someone needs to look out for you after all."
Alinza enthusiastically embraced Tillia, "Oh I knew you'd come! I'll meet you in a while." She looked Tillia over, "You might want to put on something more suitable, remember, you can't wear your favorite clothes anymore." Tillia sighed and headed towards her room to change.
A while later Tillia emerged from her room, she was now wearing a black dress with a corset of grey and she had on a pair of earrings and a single ring on one hand. Her long black hair was braided and hung to her waist in a single plait and here violet eyes were lined with a touch of makeup. A dagger was belted to her waist and she had on a belt with a series of pouches. She met up with Alinza and said, "How's this?" Tillia spun in place a moment and then looked at Alinza questioningly.
Alinza said, "You look wonderful Tillia are you ready?" Tillia noded and Alinza says, "Then let's go!" Arm in arm they walked out and headed towards the opera house, a small thrush landing on Tillia's shoulder as they went.
Action 2
Arriving at the rally Tillia looked around nervously, the crowd was large and she was not in the least bit comfortable. Still, she was here to watch out for her friend and attempt to repay the kindness that has been given to her. "Are you sure this is a good idea Alinza? this crowd is much larger than I thought it would be and they seem really agitated already."
Alinza looked at her and said, "Don't worry Tillia, they won't get out of hand, they all know that if they do this will get very bloody very fast." She looked over and realized just how uncomfortable her companion was. Alinza's voice became comforting as she trief to soothe the woman, "I won't let anything happen to you Tillia, you know I won't."
Tillia noded and said under her breath so as not to be heard, "It's not me that I'm worried about." She looked to the bird on her shoulder and said, "Salina, would you keep a lookout for me? If it seems danger is coming warn me." The little bird chirped and then flew to a nearby building for a perch where she could watch out for any trouble.
Tillia Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Salina Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Rowan Drovenge |

Turn 00
Action 1:
Rowan felt like the walls were closing in on her. She had been cooped up with Elsbeth for the last week. She hadn’t been allowed outside ever since Kintargo had burned. Instead, she had been training hard with Elsbeth to the point where she had lost track of whether it was day or night. The fact that she was stuck inside made her mood less than pleasant. She never thought that she would long for the smell of the city and to see the drizzly grey sky but having a touch of cabin fever had changed her mind. What hadn’t changed was her desire to be free to search for Tiberius. This had been the longest they had been separated since they had met. If only she could go outside and make her way to Villegre Park…he may be waiting for her there.
Suddenly there was pain in her side and her legs were swept out from under her. She was falling and landed hard on her back. Her dark brown eyes looked up to see Elsbeth bending over her, glaring.
“Rowan, you must remain focused! If you let your mind wander then you put your life in danger.”
“Easy enough to lecture when we’re stuck in a musty cellar doing repetitive drills,” Rowan muttered under her breath.
Elsbeth was going to chide her initiate further but one look at Rowan’s face caused her to change her mind. Nothing she said at this point would penetrate the girl’s mind. Instead she readied her weapon and said, “Again.” Rowan huffed at her mentor but obliged and prepared to defend against the attack. As Elsbeth began to move towards Rowan, the door started to open. In a split second, both women had changed tactics and moved in unison towards the potential threat. Aula stepped into the room and squealed in surprise when she saw both women with their weapons trained on her. Quickly getting over the initial shock, Aula shared the latest news that was spreading throughout the streets of Kintargo. There was to be a protest the next day and a few of them were planning to attend.
The news of the protest filled Rowan with hope. If there was a place where she may find Tiberius again, it would be at the protest. Elsbeth declined the invite knowing that her face was too recognizable as a follower of Milani to be present at the protest. Rowan’s heart sank because she assumed that Elsbeth’s refusal would include her as well. She was surprised when Elsbeth said, “Rowan, you should go. It will be a good opportunity for you to practice blending in while gathering information. I think you’re ready to go out on your own. Besides, it may be your only chance to find Tiberius or someone who knows what happened to him.”
Rowan eagerly nodded in agreement and could hardly contain her excitement. The prospect of getting outside and looking for Tiberius was more than she could have hoped for. She collected her gear and spent the rest of the night in prayer to Milani, drinking rose tea, and asking for the goddess’ guidance and protection for the next day.
Action 2:
Rowan made her way to Aria Park alone, not wanting to make her connection to Aula too obvious. The drizzle caused her to pull the hood of her navy wool cloak up over her braided chestnut brown hair. She had her scrollcase and weapon tucked under her cloak and kept it pulled around herself to keep out the dampness. As she walked she could hear a bard singing at the entrance to the park and the words that wafted to her ears were calling for the people to rebel against becoming enslaved. Bolstered by the presence of people who were like-minded and fed-up, Rowan began to earnestly search the crowd for previous acquaintances and listened for familiar names.

With permission I'll upgrade Caleb's Holy Text.
Also, is it reasonable to assume we have somewhere reasonably safe and secure to sleep and store stuff? I was going to do Caleb's on a rooftop.
Finally, seems like Callistrians might well do "in the event of my death..." letters. Is that fair as well?
