preliminary backstory up

May we please have brief descriptions of the three deities?
How are you doing guns?
Do any of the five have militaries? Secret police? Brute squads?

Fair Folk are cool. Likely will use their paragon class, but not 100% positive, as I am still reading it over.

The Booged pathfinder edition

+2 Dex, +2 Int, -2 Str (standard attributes, 0 rp)

Small size (slow speed, -1 rp)

Booged gain Ghostsight and Chidlike as bonus feats (static bonus feat x2, 4 rp )

Booged gain a +2 racial bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy and Intimidate checks. Booged are masters of social interaction, influencing others through their resemblance to innocent children and their unnerving and imposing presence. (silver tonged and skill bonus, 5 rp )

Booged are Immune to Fear effects and Morale effects (including beneficial effects). (fear immunity 3rp, immune to morale, -2 rp, total 1 rp)

Fear is Fuel: Booged react to fear differently than others do. Their fight or flight reflex has been amplified, but they remain rational. The Booged gains bonuses instead of penalties when targeted by Fear effects. Instead of the normal effects, the Booged gains a bonus to Attacks, Saves and Skill checks and a +5 bonus to land speed for each level of the Fear effect (+1 for Shaken or Demoralized, +2 for Frightened, +3 for Panic). This bonus lasts as long as the Fear effect normally would. (special: circumstantial bonus, immunity prerequisite, 1 or 2 rps. Rules are unclear, GM's discretion)

Lost innocence: A booged's innocence has been stolen. As a result, booged cannot be innocent. (no idea what this is worth)

Total Race Points: 10 or 11

This puts them right around standard power scale. Any changes you'd like me to make?

It would appear as if the DM has forgone their original deities in favor of allowing players to homebrew and submit their own.

Are we maxing out our hit points?

Hilde, Niels is correct. This way, religious characters don't have to be 'shoehorned' into worshipping a deity that might not fit them.

Doomed Hero, Lost Innocence is -1 RP if everyone wants to use Ravenloft 'purity' rules. If not, strike the ability. Also, I was thinking that the emotional deadness makes them immune to ALL emotion-based effects, including Charm descriptor effects.

Aldrah, yes.

MAX HP PER HD!

Hilde, firearms will be included. And all of The Five have some form of 'strike squads', though they may range from formal to informal, secretive to bold, and human to monstrous.

Ok, I'll add that.

Can't... stay... away... must... make... another... character.

I'm thinking of a classic huntsman character. Would you allow the tripod Beastmaster class.

Are firearms exotic, martial or simple weapons?

cheers

Jubal, you may use the Beastmaster.

FIREARMS ARE MARTIAL WEAPONS!

Scarab Sages

Hey RVT. I'm very interested in this one, but my attention is focused on finishing my concepts for Echoes of Sephira atm.

I do have a basic concept:

Middle-aged scholar whose daughters were captured/sacrificed for one of the Witch's rituals.

Instead of fighting back directly (a fight he would lose very quickly), he searches for knowledge about the Witches and their servants in order to find their weaknesses and whereabouts while also looking for allies in his quest to defeat them.

Kios, that works!

Mmmmkay, I'm almost done my sheet. Do you mind terribly if I use a fillable sheet, upload it to Google Docs, and then fill in the alias sheet? I find it difficult to type all that out without seeing it first.

While I work on Maena, here is the goddess I see her following.

Teesha:
Teesha is the goddess dreams, wisdom and the stars but also of the dark arts. She is often depicted as a young woman whose face is obscured by shadow of her hood. Some say that if one would come close enough to gaze under her hood he'd see nothing but stars.

She is an absent-minded goddess who cares not how those serving her use their gifts only that they use them. To not use the powers granted by her is seen as an insult of the grandest kind. As a result she is followed by many who seek only power, through knowledge, magic or both.

Her favored servants are either the Aranea or the Naga, depending on the legend. In truth she favors both but also encourages the rivalry between them in order to see who is most worthy of her favor. Accordingly she prefers snakes and spiders when it comes to normal animals.

Alignment; Lawful Neutral
Domains: Knowledge, Law, Magic, Scalykind, Void
Sub-Domains: Aeon, Arcane, Inevitable, Loyalty, Memory, Stars
Favored Weapon: Sickle

Aldrah, I do not mind.

Cuàn, that deity is fine.

I'd like to create a Gnomish Goodfellow/Feywarden, with the following tweaks: BAB of both the Goodfellow and the Faerie Beast are 3/4 HD.

Basic concept is the Amnesiac Hero archetype. I understand that it's something of a Dead Unicorn Trope, but bear with me.

I can get up a backstory/character sheet tonight. I've been told I'm very good at roleplaying, so that shouldn't be an issue.

The Exchange

What kind of languages would be good to pick with the setting?

Gadgeteer here. Working on her backstory at the moment.

Mmmkay, transferring my sheet to G-Docs then putting it on the alias thingy. Kind of sad I couldn't find a matching picture to use, though...So I'll just say she looked similar to this before things happened.

I know the feeling. Mine has an epic braided ponytail and an ironwood longsword, but this is the closest I can get.

Backstory is 1/3 of the way done, approximately. I kind of want my animal companion early, just because it's fun to make a faerie cat into an integral part of the backstory.

Well, mine's a caliban brute for backstory reasons, so... yeah. XD

Emmeline wrote:

I'm assuming you aren't actually a little elf girl, then. XD

Yeah, that's the closest thing I can find to what she looked like before she was changed.

aaaand my backstory is essentially done. Working on feats now.

The Goodfellow looks cool, what is the Feywarden though? (not gonna use for this, but I LOVE fey and can always use more stuff for them and characters connected to em)

Monkeygod wrote:

The Feywarden is what I like to call the Goodfellow to avoid awkward gender quandaries since this character is female.

EDIT: Wait... I just noticed that one clause... Can I stay a Gnome? Pleeeeeaaase?

Not the GM, but is there a reason you couldn't be one?

Monkeygod wrote:

"Race: Human, except one character who will act as Fey"

It's in the OP.

OH! Hmm.

Hey RVT, I'm kinda intrigued by Ms Feywatcher, would you be willing to allow her to be a Gnome?

Could even possibly be a tie to me(I'm the Fey) as Gnomes are descendant from the First World...

The Amnesiac Hero thing ties perfectly in with that. I'm getting kinda excited for this.

Just wait until 4th level when I get my faerie lynx.

Okay, the sheet:

Emmeline

I had to screw with the CMB/CMD, because the sheet takes the -1 penalty from being large and takes it out of CMB/CMD, when that's supposed to be a +1. So I put a +2 on those to correct it, and another +2 to CMD from the Wis bonus monks get.

You would have two feat selections from being level 3, yes? So Weapon Focus along with something else?

Oh god, you're right. I'm so used to starting at level 1... @_@;

Thanks >.<;

Edit: Updated sheet. Emmeline

Stat block is up! Did I do it right?

I still need to list my Spelltricks.

If anyone wants to carry a pavilion tent, I have the money for it.

What's a pavillion tent? Emmeline could easily carry it with her 20 STR.

it's basically a very large tent (suitable for 10 medium creatures) that can fit a campfire inside. I thought it might be a nice place to sleep. Well, not for me, as I have a hammock, but you know.

Looking through at everyone, this is... quite an eclectic team. Whatever Jubal comes up with, I want to use him as a mount so badly. :P

Yeah, I need to put up my backstory and stat block. ^^; Though, I don't think Emm can fit in that tent, since she's Large-sized. I don't know how tall or heavy she actually is, though, as I didn't get that information from Velvet. (Mainly because I forgot to ask)

Is this still recruiting? I am very intrigued!

Well, if one Large creature is equivalent to two Medium creatures, and I am Small, which means I take up like 3/4 of the space, then that makes room for you, me, whatever Jubal comes up with and its beastie, my medium-sized beastie, Doomed Hero's character, Monkey's character, and then some.

Until Sunday, yes.

I'm considering a princely cavalier. O magnificent GM, how do you feel about a de-Golarionized version of the Golden Legionnaire prestige class?

Lots of characters with animal companions here. We're gonna need another pavilion tent.

Why are you making me carry all this?! ;~;

You're a Large character with 20 strength, 100 pounds is nothing to you.

EDIT: Looked it up, and 266 pounds is light for a 20 strength Large creature. We should have you carry 3 more, just to be safe... and of course, with 5 more of you, we would have enough tents to house a breeding population. But then, this is totally out of character, since I'm a guardian of Nature, not an Alchemist.

It's paizo official so it should be fine

I know this has nothing to do with much of anything, but I feel that leaf armor (what my character is wearing) should give a small circumstance bonus to Stealth checks in forested areas.

Hello one and all!

Sorry if I'm a little late to the party, I meant to get this up here last night, but the background took a little longer than I expected to fully flesh out what I was aiming for with my character.

Statblock and Background set and ready!

My Beastmaster is work in progress. Anything you want to see or review before submission?

Do you have any plot hook or locations where you want our backgrounds to end? At 3rd level, our characters should have a local reputation in our areas of profession, craft, or performance, right?
