Hi Leira. Glad to have you onboard.
I think as the others have said the group is well balanced enough that any role you wish to play will be useful.
The thing about this AP, as far as I can tell, is that a marital only approach isn't very optimal as giants are always going to outclass any kind of martial. Zavier gets by as the GM has been very generous with allowing magic items that bump up Zavier's CMB to an absurd degree and that lets Zavier reliably crowd control a single enemy. He still gets hit for massive damage alot though.
Giants are really better approached by targeting their Reflex and Touch AC as well as potentially their Will.
Basically to sum up, if you want to go with your original idea of an Orc bloodline sorcerer then feel free! It'll be very effective and we have four frontlines including pets anyway.

Zavier makes a good point. I think a lot of enemies have been walking around with x3 and x4 weapons so any given attack there is a minimum of a 1 in 400 chace of getting one-shoted. Pits and mind control have been kind to us so far.
Those are all very fair points. I will try to mitigate all those risks as much as possible and take into consideration the weaknesses you point out.
I know what do you mean Sid, my local group has been struggling against stone giants armored with picks in our RotRL campaign.
I think I am set here with the oracle concept. I have never played one and after a thought I think it can fit perfectly to the theme of orc ancestors I want to explore. Also, I feel more comfortable knowing there is someone in the party that might be able to drop a heal at a dare moment once we are in the high levels.
@GM Do you want me to be just there having seen all the combat with the ogres or do you prefer the party to find Leira fighting with the next encounter?
@Sid I agree with you, they are very thematic. In the case of Leira it is even more easy, as she has already been playing the campaign and has a real story with it.
She is from Trunau and she fought the Bloodmarch Hill battle like you, just she did with a different group of Trunau citiziens. You have probably seen her though during or after the battle, and if you are from Trunau, you sure know her already.
Her mother died in the battle, and she swore to avenge her by finishing the orc tribe that did it. She assaulted that orc tribe's fort just a different one than yours. She did it with the help of a group of dwarves she found on her way.
Later, she and the dwarves took the fight to the valleys of the giants that were behind the orc attacks. Her group was successful defeating that recruitment site but afterwards when the dwarves entangled themselves in politics she decided to continue her revenge alone, searching for the real Cathedral which happens to match with your current mission.
And so Leira and your group should come to gather together.
I think it would be easiest to assume that while the rest of the party have been exploring Leira has been following in their footsteps but a few hours behind so the main of the party has already cleared out areas and moved on, however the noise of the last battle (particularly as it involved giants fighting giants) made so much noise that it drew her attention and so she decided to investigate.
As I have recently joined, I was able to configure my equipment as it best fit Leira. Thus, I think it is more fair if you all others get to share your hardly won loot. In any case Leira will just pick up whatever remains after you share.

Thank you for putting that out there. There are a lot of things in the inventory that are good back up weapons like the flaming scimitar for you or Dolgrym, so don't be shy.
When we sell stuff we will likely be taking a more than you as you suggest as Sid has about 8000gp-10 000gp worth of gear Zavier is not much better off. Think Kohl and Dolrgym were only slightly better off than that's only because there are a couple of expensive weapons that are good but not optimal for them. We are a hodge-podge of scraps right now.
Shoestring Giant Fighters. We were really lucky everyone brought low gear dependency PCs.

I’ll take that magical ironwood breastplate you mentioned. That’ll help a little.

Zavier is good to go along with the ruse and then surprise grapple it from flank to try and keep it from crying out while the rest of you murderise it!

Out of character, play smart in this fight. I think we have skipped a lot of combats getting in here and in an arm of the valley so we may be slightly under leveled. I think we can handle it but it's likely a good time for the PCs to be their sharpest.

Can Zavier get buffs like Barkskin and Enlarge just before the fighting starts? I think for the vulture room he'll be in just killing mode and not grappling. Then in the final room he'll try and grapple the big boss and see how it goes. We got anything good for flying enemies like web or whatever?

Sid can provide and enlarge but has one so it's this fight or the next because we may need to heal in between. Sid can also cast haste before we go up the stairs.

Ok, enlarge for the last fight as that'll help maybe lock down a giant for a round or even longer. Any sort of shield spell or extra damage for fist spell would be useful as well.

Dolgrym can cast Magic Fang in Xavier for a little extra boost. And I’ve got a couple scrolls of Barkskin that would be perfect for you.

Ok leveled up. Other than the +12 HP getting Zavier to a nice and needed 100 hp even the big thing is the +1 bab and picking up greater weapon focus unarmed which basically bumps up all of Zavier's maneuver and attacks by +2. All Zavier's unarmed attacks also count as silver and cold iron as well.
I am very confused about the current situation. I have enlarged the map and fixed the tokens size moving them where I think they are after the surprise round to try sort things out.
I am not sure if we are supposed to add actions for round 1 now or roll initiative.
Wow, the possession spell looks pretty awesome. Not requiring line of sight allows for many shenanigans, like here to use through the layer of flames while they cannot target us back :D

Thanks I'll have to think of my shopping. Zaver did do very well in this last adventure in terms of getting a damage increasing glove and an amulet of barkskin so I don't mind giving money up also.

2) potion of gaseous form, 750 gp
3) headband enhancement from +2 to +4 Cha, +12000 gp

NP. I try to keep everyone fairly equipped. There was a stretch where we found nothing for poor Zavier. Then we found some stuff and had the chance to buy and we caught him up as he said. I don't want anyone to fall behind because of the randomness of loot drops.
