Okrin's a cleric with a low charisma, but channeling isn't his cup of tea. He uses his 1 channel per day to heal but prefers to rely on wands to heal and kills with his pistol. XD

diphycue - nice work, though dumping your strength to 6 puts you solidly into medium load and quickly approaching heavy load territory.
Unfortunately a cleric is a multiple attribute hog... I needed decent Wisdom and Charisma, obviously, Dexterity for AC and ranged, Intelligence because he's a bit of a scholar which leaves Strength and Constitution...can't dump Con because of health reasons, so Strength was all I could drop at all, which really sucks because halflings get a -2. Anyhow, I think it'll work out because he shouldn't be in melee much anyway and he doesn't carry too many things, though I'll check to make sure he's not encumbered.

You, sir, play a different cleric than the preponderance of these boards. I salute you.

He's new, give him some time :P

Don't you dare ruin him!

;D

EDIT: To be clear, Allen, I, too, tend to play my clerics the way you do. It's... not a popular (or "proper") way of playing the cleric. It is, however, a fine one. :)

Looks like a good cleric build to me, your AC by about level 6 or so probably isn't going to matter that much anyways. Most things will hit most of you unless you truly specialize in AC stacking.

Have a few things to do, then I'll get the list posted. Check back in about and hour and a half!

Tactic, if you look at Okrin, I didn't go the usual route either. Okrin's more of a battle cleric, though I do plan on beefing up Wisdom with items and the bonuses from leveling.

But for now, he can help in a fight, at least. Also's quite good at spotting and disabling non-magic traps.

Mostly I was joking. We're cool. :D

Aaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

(Three more minutes, and I'm out of time right now...)

Wow! That's a lot of overnight posts... But I'll play along.

Jean was still looking into the waters, too immersed in her own thoughts before a mechanical speech broke her reverie.

Wait a moment... that sounds familiar...

Looking around she nearly missed seeing the small-sized wooden creature dressed in a tattered outfit filled with pockets. "Hey! uh... Ri-wak was it? It's been five years! How have you been? Did you just say that Raju and Rengovay are in this boat as well???" Jean looks around the boat trying to spot them, unsuccessfully. (I've got no idea how big this boat is...)

IMPOSSIBLE! Did Val just call all of us back? Torch's problems must be bigger than I thought...

We'll have to do a bit of ooc history-check, Jean: my character's only been around for 7 years, and he left about 1 year ago. Some of this conversation may be non-canon. Or, it's quite possible, you met him more or less as you were leaving. Of course, he was named by Val after his ridiculously complex name was more or less lost on her, so... good response, name-wise. :)

"I... <processing: answer in affirmed> did." says Rywokit. "<Process: error-correction>And it was <run: clarify designation> 'Rywokit', though, should you need, the designation of 'Ry-wak' could suffice as well. How have your travels been?"

@Rywokit: was just browsing through your profile and noticed the blank among the prepared spell list. Aren't wizards considered to be the only ones allowed to prepare additional spells into non-used slots during the day? either that or I've been playing my magus (another PC) the wrong way for some time now...

"It was great actually! I got see a lot of tech, and you wouldn't believe how little other people understand devices around them. In fact, I was just thinking that the speed boat I built, in less than a week I might add, for some lord up north that would go faster than this one." says Jean who pats the hull of the boat. Then, recalling her earlier anticipation, she asks "Do you have news about the Professor?"

I've never heard of that before, Jean:
I don't know, but I specifically have,
Quote:

Arcanist Exploits

- 1st) Quick Study (Ex): The arcanist can prepare a spell in place of an existing spell by expending 1 point from her arcane reservoir. Using this ability is a full-round action that provokes an attack of opportunity. The arcanist must be able to reference her spellbook when using this ability. The spell prepared must be of the same level as the spell being replaced.

... which should allow me to do exactly that rather effectively. I've never even considered that other prepared classes could not, with the possible exception of cleric... who only, to my understanding, receive their slots all at once, not all of their specific spells. I could be doing it wrong, and just not know, however.

"<Run Process: surprise! Run: query> The... professor? <Process: answer> No... <Run: query> why? What of him?"

I really did not receive a bad entry from anyone which made choosing difficult. I know there is another Iron Gods out there now, so I wish those of you applying there luck.

Thank you.

Scarlet's large, blue eyes alight upon the small figure. She goes still for a moment, her gaze seeming to take in all the details, before she skips over... kneels and extends a hand,

"Bah-weep! Graaaaa-nah wheep. Ni-ni bon!" (^_^) She exclaims.

Well, grats to everyone who made it, and good try for those who didn't! Since I didn't get into this campaign, I'm probably going to be running it myself sometime next month, as I'm itching to handle this campaign either way.

Can't wait to get my hands on ze books XD

Perhaps I'll make it part of the Ruins of Pathfinder alternate timeline.. Muahahahaha.

Failing her attempt to make a three-piece jumbo sized wooden clapper, Jean brings her small hands together instead.

"Congratulations to those who got in!" :D

You guys had awesome characters! I'm sorry to see you go! :(
But! Maybe you can hang out here! ... and, hey, if I die (possible, as a wyrwood), who knows: maybe you'll replace me?

(And Jean, if you wish to continue our conversation, I'd be coll. if you don't, it's regrettable, but entirely understandable!)

Yay for getting in... But also sorry for those who didn't. You all had great characters, especially S.c.a.l.e.t. (you not getting in might have something to do with the GM not wanting to have over half the party being robots), and all of us had a chance to get in, just the GM thought that some concepts were cooler.

Tally-HO, and when it counts, may you roll high!!!

The Exchange

Congrats to those who got in! Have a great game!

congrats, and good luck to those that made it. :)

I did not envy the decision the GM had to make last night. So many great character concepts, backgrounds and role-playing in the discussion board! I'm hoping everyone who didn't get in gets a chance to play their characters in another game soon. Good luck!
