So. I think at this point, we are going to let things stand. Lets make sure if we are waiting for something else to happen, you state that as part of the action. This should not be a terrible set back as the plot unfolds.
You both are at 0 HP and stable, but unconscious.
My players in the "in person" game had cold resist and went traipsing about in the mold, then it did the 3d6 damage and they resisted it all. Second round they were unconscious.
It would take at least a half hour for Rywokit's ray of frost to kill off the entire patch of mold. The casting of the spell cannot be done quietly and with Lazur's shots fired almost everything in the cavern complex knows something is up. You would have been interrupted long before he cleaned the field.

Okay, ought to be more interesting this way...

Locke Tresslar |

I'm unclear why those creatures would be a Knw (local) check. Given this location only recently became known to the citizens of Torch (hence all the expeditions), this choice seems odd. Based on what's in the spoiler, wouldn't Knw (dungeoneering) or possibly (history) make more sense?
Obviously if that's what the book suggests or you're just making a GM call, that's cool. At first glance from me it just feels somewhat disjointed. I always think of (local) as info a character could (or could have) gathered from the humanoid on the street or reading an almanac of the area. "New caves" seem a little outside of that scope, lol, assuming you think of it the same way.

As I understand it, humanoids that are not monstrous are identified via knowledge local. Frankly, I'd imagine a dungioneering check to be more appropriate, though these guys have two abilities that matter and that is the camouflage and the can't be tracked easily underground. And frankly you can see those abilities in action.
Creature identification is always a bit wonky.
Edit: Looked up the skills on the PRD -
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/skills/knowledge.html#knowledge
under local is humanoids

RAW wins! I forget sometimes that some nuances like this are covered already despite "logic." :P

Rywokit Prometheus |

I forgot to post in this one! As some may know, my wife is currently in the hospital. Don't worry: we're all fine, and things should return to normal soon, but any lack of posting is due to real life interruptions! :)
Prayers are always appreciated! :D
Thanks!

Wishing you wife well also!

Rywokit Prometheus |

By the way, although I think I had assumed it was obvious, GM, please 'bot me. Use Rywokit to the full extent of his abilities and knowledge to help sort this stuff out, and generally do what's best for everybody: it's what he'd be doing anyway! Thanks!

Allen Starskipper |

I hate to say this, but it's been 3 weeks since I was last able to post because of a lame misunderstanding. I'm going to bow out. I was enjoying the module, but it's just going too slow. Sorry guys. Have fun.

Locke Tresslar |

With Allen bowing out, will you be offering a spot to a previous applicant, or reopening recruitment in the thread, GM Viskous?

GM Viskous |

At this point, I will bot him til we get outside.
Not sure which route to take at the moment. Thinking on it.

Locke Tresslar |

If it's worth anything, I can recommend someone who is very good. I can check to see if he has openings for more PbPs, if you would rather that than have to audition more people.

Raven Usta |

I can also recommend someone. Let me see if they're up for an Iron gods game... They did mention all their other games (save one) had gone dead. ^^

Tacticslion |

Noooooooo ! Not Analise, too! :/
Have a good one! We'll miss you! Also, I can't actually see what I'm typing, so I hope that by the time this you read this, it's comprehensible. Truck g to get consistent access to Internet and computers is... Meh.

So. I've been sorta busy. I just got made Venture Lieutenant in our PFS area, we have 1 of our 2 major conventions for our area in less than a week.
I'll do better. And with the tightening up of the group things will probably move along a bit quicker.
Tac will also be sporadic for a while yet.
So 2 options -
Hiatus til November 17th with a renewed post interest by everyone!
or continue as we are at the moment.
I believe someone mentioned timer on the waterbreathing effect, I believe you have more than 2 hours left. That is one of the reason for the bigger progression threads I include the time.

Locke Tresslar |

I think a hiatus might be good. And if you want Viskous, you could even throw up a recruitment post in the meantime, if you want to go that route. :)
I will certainly be there with interest!

So I'm almost ready to get going. We have power problems that should get fixed today that will fix the internet problems I've been having.
So I'll get a detailed where we are so far post up this afternoon after the electricians fix things!

Tacticslion |

Hiatus it is!
Limited internet access, sick, and a newborn (who is still in the hospital dealing with preemy things) combined with upcoming and impending tremendous amounts of family visitors over a large period of time means that, in all probability, I'm out for another month. I'm sorry it took so long to post this up, but, our days are mostly spent:
1) wake up
2) guzzle something approximating breakfast
3) travel to hospital to engage in endless cycles of:
- 3a) feeding our son
- 3b) wife pumping milk for the future (while I meet with someone or wait with poor wifi reception)
- 3c) seeing someone about something
- 3d) repeat
- OPTIONAL: occasional breaks for eating (some days)
4) come back to the RMDH!
5) eat free food!
6) sleep
This, naturally, is not conducive to gaming online.
To be clear, while tiring, it's not a bad state that we're in; things are generally okay. The two "bad" things are: our newborn is battling anemea (lack of red blood cells produced by bone marrow, not lack of iron), and I'm rather sick (which is why I'm at the RMDH and have time to update this, leaving my wife alone at the hospital today); oh! and a mistake with Verizon meant my iPad lost its Roaming Wifi capabiilty for... I dunno, until they stop falsely claiming I owe them $125, but that's mostly just waiting for us to talk to an actual person in-person instead of people on the phone. Seriously, and truly, though, those are the only things that are bad. Everything else is going as well as it can.
I am sorry about the lack of updates/information!
Anyway, with all this in mind, if no one minds, I'm going to beg us out until December - probably sometime later December. December itself will be a bit tricky, but by then, Lord willing, things'll have settled down enough, we'll be home, and we'll have internet access.
Apologies again for the lack of communication and time!
~ Tac
OH: Please feel free to keep 'botting me. Kind of semi-appropriate, really. Sorry!

Locke Tresslar |

I guess we'll check later then. I've had a game resurface after a longer period, so I won't be too upset...but I give warning now. I may find another Iron Gods game, or have read the available modules cover-to-cover by then. I'm really good about separating myself from meta game, but if that's a concern...I'm just wanting it out there.

Rywokit Prometheus |

We are home for Thanksgiving!
... lacking sleep (feeding a literal "cry-baby" every two-hours, more or less ;P), but home!
Family coming over tomorrow, and my oldest boy will finally be back with his mommy and daddy and with his little brother all the time! WOOOOO~!
... I'm still hecka on hiatus right now. Sorry. (Only marginally, though, 'cause we're home!)
:D

GM Viskous |

Thanks everyone for your time. I'm going to officially end this one. Too much going on in personal life to maintain this.
Sorry and good luck on your other games.
