It's not great, the image to pdf utility compressed it for some reason, but here's one I made.

Hope it helps...it's in no way professional grade.

Portrait Character Sheet

Thank you!

I'm working on one...but I'm willing to bet that other people will be faster and end up with something that looks better.

DRAGONSTAR! I second that motion! Get on it FFG or let someone else do it! Great setting, just needs work to make it Pathfinder compatible...I've been working on it myself, but I'd love the official creators to make something.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hip hip hooray!

Yeah, I'd thought the area had been cleared of mold. I definitely wouldn't have rushed in to pass out in brown mold.

Cool...I was hoping that was the case.

Hey, Magnimar, I love that place!

If we're first level you should get max.

Sure thing, would you mind testing out new and dangerous magical constructs?

Sorcerer/Oracle would be alright, except you can still only cast one spell per round... you may be longer lasting, but your actually effectiveness in a battle doesn't necessarily increase.

How about a wizard who has been studying ancient history, the Thassilonians and what-not, and wants to make a nation of high magic and science. Would focus a lot on crafting, constructs, that kind of thing.

Doing a little bit of tweaking...buying equipment, shuffling strength up a bit in order to carry the equipment.

Are we doing Heroic Distinctions instead of magic items, or what's up with that?

Do we automatically get the racial traits listed under our nationality; Focused Study and Silvered Tongue in my case?

OOOOOOOK! Here's a first attempt, there's still a lot of blank space on the sheet.

So I did a random roll on the Ultimate Campaign background generator and came to the Conflict section... I got; committed Mass Murder of Leaders for Justice... that works, would definitely explain how come he's kind of laying low now...
the rest of it works really well too... orphaned, adopted, witnessed death of his family, burning with revenge...

nah, forget the spellslinger variant... I'll just go gunslinger/ranger...

Incidently, Mbebe Nwodo is the name of a doctor who works in the local ER.

Hey, what's the rule with multiclassing; could I be a (Gunslinger/Ranger)2 then (Spellslinger/Ranger)1, for character level 3, Gunslinger2/Spellslinger1/Ranger3?

Yeah, either way I'll have a Gunslinger/Ranger ready in just a few, make a version for both ways.

reflex save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 C'mon nat 20!

Hey, what are naming conventions like in the different countries? Should I just go with standard fantasy fare; "Mizzen the Slinger" or something more earth ethnic; "Vladimir Alexidrovich" or "Nigel Smythe" or "Mbebe Nwodo"... Or, ultimately, does it not matter?

Edit: I just noticed the little parentheses enclosed comments about culture, as I'm planning to be an Anthrosian, I will choose a greek or roman style name.

I could do gunslinger...maybe spellslinger(wizard archetype)/gunslinger... Or gunslinger/ranger... Is Eridani an acceptable favored enemy?

I'll work up a gunslinger/ranger sniper type

I have the psionics book also, some good stuff in there, too.

Can the Eridani interbreed with humans? A half-giant fighter/psychic warrior could be fun.

What do the Eridani look like? And what's up with Heroic Distinctions, I saw the list, but not really sure what the purpose is.

Well, one idea I've had for quite a number of years involved a mage killer type. Uses non-magical equipment and grapple attacks and things. When he could afford it would get an amulet of antimagic aura. I originally had him being a half-giant (this was 3.5), but maybe a northman fighter/monk or fighter/ranger. Know anyway to get large bonuses without magic?

I'll re-read the story info to see if any other ideas jump at me.

What if I was a drone orc who was from a group assigned to midden/sewer duty. It was there that he saw the natural world from the side of the "clean-up" crew, so to speak. He saw that it was only through the death and decay of some things that new things were able to live and grow.

Could be human too, probably better mechanically to be human, but I was reading the orc bit and thought that as a slave race there would be some set to the disgusting tasks no-one else wants to do.

About the combat stances, what happens as you go up in level...the big advantage to power attack is that as you go up so does the benefit.

I was thinking barb/druid, but I'm not a big fan of barbarians, and it was thinking the extra casting might help. My thought is a druid who focuses on the decay/growth aspects of nature...fungi and vermin...

If that wouldn't fit that's ok, I have other ideas too.

Also, I love wounds/vitality.

Hmm, no divine casters proposed yet, how would a oracle/druid or cleric/druid work?

What combo would be a good match here? I was thinking Druid/Ranger or Alchemist/Gunslinger or something...

I'm interested and should be available at the time specified. I'll need to come up with a better fleshed out concept than "magic user who wants to establish a realm of higher learning"

I've never actually played a gestalt character, but the setting seems interesting enough and I'm really curious about where the story will go that I'm considering giving it a go. Which book is gestalt in so I can read up on it?

The item slots are for magic items, there's, to my knowledge, no rule against strapping a shield onto each arm.

Sounds very interesting. I'll see about putting together something...Arcova or Galloveer

What do you consider to be an optimiser or min-maxer? If I have a fighter is putting most of my points in Str and Con and taking weapon focus and power attack an optimiser or min-maxer choice, or is it just logical for that character type? At what point does making a good choice ruleswise become wrong? If I'm playing a character who uses a scimitar and is a dervish...is dervish dance a min-max choice? What's wrong with having someone who plays the games rules as they are in the book? If I can role play a character, in depth, emotionally, why shouldn't he also be able to kick ass on the map? Does thinking tactically mean you can't also speak as a character?

A catfolk and a ratfolk? I'm sensing a Tom and Jerry situation arising.

I'm currently on the list for another Iron Gods game, but if I'm not selected to play today I will definitely come back for this one. I'm really excited to play that Adventure Path!

Allen was born in the Varisian city of Korvosa not long after his mother and father moved there from Andoran. As the son of halfling merchants Allen was fairly well-to-do and had many opportunities to learn and do whatever he wanted. When he was still a child he encountered a dirty, homeless traveler who claimed he had recieved a vision from the Silver Mountain in Numeria. He babbled, mostly gibberish, about visitors from the stars who bring wonders beyond imagining. This chance encounter changed Allen's life. Instead of focusing on the mundane day-to-day world, he set his sights at the sky. He convinced his parents to buy him a telescope and it was during a night of stargazing that a few clerics of Desna found him. The Goddess of the Stars found favor in the young boy and he focused himself in her service. He began to see how the chance encounters in his life were actually Desna's hand guiding luck. As a young adult he is a xenophile, loving to meet new people, see new places, and encounter new creatures. Numeria has long been a place of wonder for him, and he has spent many hours reading and talking to people to find more about it. Once he heard of the Torch going out he knew it was his chance to go there and try to help. He knew that many people would be in need and there would be many chances for him to experience something from another world.

Allen is a cleric of Desna with the Domains Travel and Luck, he has the traits Stargazer, Rich Parents, and Scholar of the Great Beyond with the Naive drawback.

D'oh... it's cool, just wish I'd seen it earlier. Maybe I can find another Iron Gods to join... have fun everyone!

Diphycue - No problems with a novice, but you don't have very long to get an entry in. At this point, I really need to see a good example of a post in character and a real strong character concept. Specific stats and gears are not as important as the story.

I would advise a healer entry, as I am thoroughly represented in the other departments.

How about a cleric who is facinated by the idea that other beings live in the sky and is excited about the opportunity to go and meet the "things" from Numeria and the Silver Mountain. Since the torch in Torch went out he wants to go find out more about the workings behind it and also to help the people of the area with his divine abilities. He is a good, helpful guy, though a bit naive when it comes to new things and people.

I would love to play in this, the path sounds amazing! This would be my first pbp on paizo and I don't know how you'd feel about a novice.

Ok, his mom was taken for a short time during an orc raid of the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, she survived until he was around 8. They spent most of his childhood in Hillcross, trading what little they could with merchants from the south. After her death, though, the people of the town had little to do with a half-orc child, so he was encouraged to leave. He ranged into the Thunder Steppes where he was found by a druid who showed him the ways of nature and how the harshest experiences can give the most strength and no matter the environment you can always survive. They traveled around the Steppes, from Hillcross to Tolguth, and he learned much about not only tundra creatures but the warmer habitat around Tolguth. His mentor was killed recently leaving him a bit of a loss about where to go. He returned to Hillcross where he learned of odd weather occurences in the south, particularly Taldor where unseasonable areas of frozen conditions have happened. He decided that he could lend his services to the area and help restore the natural balance. Now he is getting close to the town of Heldren, after weeks of travel.

I was considering a half-orc arctic druid with a sabertooth cat companion...trying to work up a good background now.

Maybe an oracle, cleric, or druid...to cover divine casting?

I'm interested, but i've never used maptool or axon...I'm very familiar with pathfinder, though I'm a novice with playing online.
