You can make a Knowledge Local check if you want to attempt to identify her.
So... anyone else going to attempt this? Would be nice as mine is all kinds of weird (probably because it's a different post), and I'm not sure if the GM would actually want to use it. You may still make a DC 10! ... probably not enough, but you could! :D
Rywokit Prometheus
Why, no, I'm not hitting F5 repeatedly to learn whether or not I've ruined my character forever. Such accusations are outrageous! ... maybe.
Rywokit Prometheus
Analise miraculously manages to hit the thing... but it feels like it just poked an electric fence.
Rywy has all the empathy for this. All of it. Kill it with tickles!
GM Viskous
What did Analise shoot with when blind?
Spells generally cannot be used when blind. You have to see the target.

Nope! Area effects can target an intersection. But all other spells require sight or direct touch.
I usually allow area spells when vision is removed as long as they have line of effect, though people metagame the crap out of it, and with PFS where most of my GMing comes from I have to let them due to the no PVP rules.
Per the Core Rulebook -
Target or Targets: Some spells have a target or targets. You cast these spells on creatures or objects, as defined by the spell itself. You must be able to see or touch the target, and you must specifically choose that target. You do not have to select your target until you finish casting the spell.
A little bit lower down it covers how area spells work.
Area: Some spells affect an area. Sometimes a spell description specifies a specially defined area, but usually an area falls into one of the categories defined below.
Regardless of the shape of the area, you select the point where the spell originates, but otherwise you don't control which creatures or objects the spell affects. The point of origin of a spell is always a grid intersection. When determining whether a given creature is within the area of a spell, count out the distance from the point of origin in squares just as you do when moving a character or when determining the range for a ranged attack. The only difference is that instead of counting from the center of one square to the center of the next, you count from intersection to intersection.

Ah, cool, okay. Hm, I've long been treating attack spells like attacks and applying miss chance. Interesting! Thanks!

Like I mentioned I've run a lot of PFS, I should be a 4 star GM by sometime in October. Its a very rules as written game space. I also haven't played the other versions of D&D since the mid 90s and very sparingly then. So I really only know Pathfinder rules so I don't usually get confused by older rules or house rules.
I prefer to run with a focus on rules as written, though I'm open to house rule suggestions if they make sense. My Rise of the Runelords game had a fair number of house rules to make it a little more hack and slash friendly and since we didn't really have a "healer".
Rywokit Prometheus
Nice! I've got dozens of weird things floating around in my brain, so it's always easy for me to blend rule sets. Plus, we generally don't use grid play (making a number of harder rules more fluid by default), so we end up with unconscious house rules. It's pretty awesome that you're nearly a 4-star! Congrats! :D

Why is no one onliiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeee...?

The rest of you can act now! Go forth and kill the slime!

Someone's 40k is showing. =)
Believe it or not, it's not actually mine. It's true: I'm a (40k) poseur. :/ :)
However! I've associated enough with folk that do play that I'm aware of many of the tropes, idioms, saying, etc. that arise from it. I played one of the games for a while - at the house of a friend of mine - and, much later, went on periodic research binges to learn a bit about the worlds and set ups. Hence, the quotation. :D

Alternate One-liner:
Hey! I'm not a one-eyed multi-jointed mustachioed snake*! I'm just a little wooden man! ... wait.

Alternate-alternate One-liner (which I was planning to post earlier, but ran out of time):
We're so winning this fight, you guys!
Raven Usta
I regret to report that my home network is giving me the finger once again. My posting may be patchy for the foreseeable future. >_<; Please DMPC me if necessary...
Jack Homini
Howdy all!
So, I'm going to be 'that guy' and dole out unasked for advice. The DM or you can scold me if I'm overstepping my bounds here...
I haven't been playing PbP for a long time or anything, but I find it helps when the players post actions that move the story forward.
Alternatively, if you're interested in the history of something, try not to monologue it; make a knowledge roll or engage the other players to attempt one for you.
Personally, I'd recommend including a die roll with your stated actions. Such as 'Jack looks for something' means that I should include a perception roll with my post. If it's not an applicable roll, it can be discarded.
I'm actually not a Type-A person. I dislike when the party splits at a home-table, and I try to make sure the party is getting a say in the direction of where we're heading. When I ask what direction to head, an answer is generally nice (even if it's just I'm following). Otherwise, it's just the charisma 8 shield-wall making the path decisions. I'm okay with choosing the path, but I want the party to be aware that I'm not trying to be 'do it my way or the high-way.' Shout-out if you want Jack to hold-up.
Allen Starskipper
I'm really going for the "go-with-the-flow" type... especially when there isn't something that Allen's been trained for. He is a bit hyper though, and gets antsy if the party isn't moving.
Rywokit Prometheus
Mostly I was just trying to give time and space to the GM to respond. After he checks, Wicket generally goes with Jack. :) EDIT: Also, I've previously asked the GM what he wants. But, since it's too late to edit, if he'd rather a dice roll than taking something: Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 6

A blast from Ray of Frost will kill a 5 foot square of mold after a couple of minutes.
And Locke's idea should work OK. Lets call it an AC 20 to hit with a "grappling hook" to represent the difficulty of tagging a body with the hook to drag over.
Also isn't someone in your group not effected by cold damage?
Rywokit Prometheus
After reading your post, I went ahead and read the spoiler to understand. I'm not affected by non-lethal damage, disease, or poison, though I'm not immune to cold, necessarily. I could, then, hypothetically just walk there and back, if we wanted.

Oh, hey, Locke! Don't forget your stuff! It's still next to the lake!
...Locke retrieves his pack but makes certain his short sword is at the ready for the next threat as he moves away from the group...
In regards to the Roll 20 map, I do not have the ability to add words or don't know how, and I certainly can't edit anything added by the GM which that marker was. ;-)
Rywokit Prometheus
Ah, cool! I forgot that! We're cool, then. Mostly, I just didn't want you to lack your stuff! :D
Also, to add words, you "i" in the column of weird symbols on the left of the screen, click it for options, and fool around with those. :D (You still can't get the GM's stuff, though, only your own.)

Hey guys, I am on a surprise mini vacation, I may not have internet again until Wednesday morning California time. I will post if I can, otherwise bot me!
Just kidding about the botting...
Rywokit Prometheus
Don't worry, GM! I'll totally 'bot you! >:D
...
...
... in Gob Smash One, of course. Yes. That is certainly what I meant. >.>
(Oh, yeah, and enjoy, or whatever! ;D)
Rywokit Prometheus
Um... I thought that Rywy had already cleared the mold? That's why I rushed ahead... I mean, even with a 8 Wisdom, Analise wouldn't rush ahead and risk unconsciousness...
I think it's a question of interpretation and order of events. Since Locke was suggesting a potentially much faster option, and you suggested that you just walk out before that idea had been resolved... I think it was interpreted that Rywy burned, maybe, a 5ft. path while Locke was talking about a rope thing and you and Allen walked out into the mold. It'd take Rywy something like 24 to 34 minutes to clear the room of the mold, though only eight minutes to make a line/path. I think the GM will be amenable to a slight retcon, but I'm not sure.
Locke Tresslar
Sorry to hear of the troubles, Raven. I look forward to the GM returning after Wednesday, so we can hopefully get this latest scene straightened out. Seems like there was some misunderstandings.
