Will DMPC Draka tomorrow. I was going to do tonight but I had to drive clear across the state on short notice.

So I discovered this singer, Laura Brehm, a few years ago and wherever she comes out with a new song I get super excited. *This* is her latest collab. She's the first singer.

That does sound awesome Draka!

I am not sure if some of you have leveled to 8 or not. Some of you sheets still reflect level 7. You gained 8 a little ways back.

I’m a bigger fan of Pathfinder rules and setting. If it wasn’t for this group, and the excellent roleplaying and gamemastering, I wouldn’t play it.
On another note: the playtest for Pathfinder 2.0 seemed to draw a lot of inspiration from Starfinder, which I think is a mistake. I hope they change some direction in the final version.

I agree with you Draka. I like the setting but like that Pathfinder has much more content available for character building and development. With just the core classes they each feel somewhat the same. I think it is due to the way feats are now as there is little way to focus on any one thing to make it your niche. I have really only been able t do it successfully with a couple of characters in PFS. Maybe it is the watered down spells that seem to fail their DC 80% of the time.
Though three new classes will be coming out in the near future which may help with that. This opening adventure was definitely good at teaching the ruleset which was insanely different. Though the first four books are a bunch of Cat and Mouse chasing with the undead and cultists always being one step ahead. Though that will all come to a close and all mystery will be revealed in Book 5 and 6. Those two are definitely far more climatic!
Though overall I enjoy both as I mainly play for the story and I am definitely enjoying the story on both sides, especially after that last Special.

Yeah, Starfinder feels a little flat to me, and somewhat dull - save for the excellent folks I'm playing with on this one. This is a very good game, but I suspect a more average group would have me looking for the door out, and I'm unlikely to play Starfinder again soon.
I'll give it some time to season and maybe play again in the future.

Trying to be, though I just took over Magabeus Online VL position a few months ago. There is a lot of moving pieces. :P And when these conventions happen everything seems to implode with a lot of small things that need corrected and fixed.

Yay! Happy 1 year anniversary!

@ GM- Wow, the bad guy actually has +22 to hit with a sword? The campaign has only dropped armor as hefty as 25 or 27 (Draka has that).... so this tells me that Starfinder saw with play testing that the main bad guy can only possibly miss the most armored person with a roll of 4 or less?
That's fairly bad play-testing. I don't mind tough battles, and I think we have a significant advantages in numbers of characters... but not being able to statistically miss me (22 plus 1 is my KAC) is where I call shenanigans.
They should have lowered the stats on the Main bad guy and added more minions or something.
Maybe this is overcompensating for the static HP's they give out and how quickly a Soldier like Zane can just "get his 80 points of stamina back"... but what about the other softer shelled character classes?
Just my two cents. No real full throated complaints, as I like the story and PBP of Starfinder and this campaign.

It may just be this guys as well. His stats were all kinds of messed up. I had to scour the boards because written in the book his AC is:
That was nuts and you guys would have literally missed nearly every shot as you would need a 17+ to hit. Some of you a 19-20.
I scoured the boards and Jason Keeley corrected himself a bit as this first AP was written while the rules were being finalized.
Not only that but they seemed to have kept Starfinder itself pretty hush hush. It was not publicly playtested as far as I am aware. Instead they showed it off at various cons and used that feedback along with selected groups.

Oh! hope everything is alright! Take the time you need. We will be here.

You mentioned stopping somewhere to rearm and make purchases. Where would you like to go?

Dash Arcbright |

Man I feel like magic sucks in Starfinder. Anyone have a suggestion for which lackluster 3rd level Dash should take?
Haste seems really awful now that it only adds a movement action, but it’s still the front runner among other less effective spells.

![]() |

Yea. They really need a whole book on just adding spells and feats.
Arcing Surge
Explosive Blast
Summon Creature
Those are always good staples.

The Zane |

@ GM - quick question on the rules. I think the damage gets dolled out all at the same time, so if that's right-and Draka hits, do we enact/get the critical effect right?
We haven't done space combat recently, and I may play Starfinder at the upcoming convention.
Thanks!

![]() |

Yup that is correct. Everything happens all at once for damage.

The Zane |

I saw an episode last night of a TV Comedy Series called Last Man Standing, and in the episode, the star Quarterback of the High School Football team talks about himself in "the Third Person".
The Zane and Draka talk in the third person was better (of course), but now The Zane is totally angry that the writers of the show read this PBP and STOLE HIS LIKENESS!!!
Those Death Cultists better watch out. Zane's now really upset AND his Intellectual property stolen. Two people have now been added to The Marked For Death List:
End of World Cultists
Writers of TV show- Last Man Standing.
Wait until Draka hears about this. Can people be double killed?

![]() |

Hehe. thanks. I am trying to add a bit more flavor into the ship combats. I am going to have to look up that episode. I have seen a lot of that show but not that one. It is a great show. Too bad they canceled it over nothing. At least Fox picked it back up.
