DM Beckett |
I'm fine with that.
Let me know if you need any help.
Syl'las Morbos |
I can bring this character along with me. And it is fine with me to start prior to GD5
Laureglyn |
dotting... and I'm good with starting anytime...
Gilthanis |
Throwing my hat in the ring. This is a pretty good game to use as "dipping your feet in the waters" so to speak. Pretty fast, and we may actually get done before GD:V if we keep posting rate up :)
Anyways, would you prefer fresh 0 xp PC's or is a "used" PC okay to use because I have a few that have not done MoFF yet :)
I am okay with starting early as well.
GM Turmoil |
I'm looking to run with 5 to keep it fast, plus it's a tight map. I already have 2 reserved so to be fair I will roll between the other 5 here.
2 Syl'las
3 Laureglyn
4 Gilthanis
5 Terril
5d5 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 1, 5) = 13
So Grimdog, Laureglyn and Terril. But I'd like to thank everyone for their interest.
@Terril: Unless it changed recently, the Primalist archetype is not society legal. Do you have another character you can run?
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
I'll join if there's still room - which character I field depends on what else is in the party.
Which brings me to a major question - are Primalist Bloodragers legal now?!? That is a question I have something of a personal stake in....
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
By mere seconds - I'm still interested in the Primalist question, though. It is a new season....
Terril the Everchanging |
Whoops! That'll teach me to not double check the additional resources... No worries though, since I've never played him and he's still level 1. I'll run him as a vanilla bloodrager and perhaps rebuild him later.

No worries, you're fine. I only noticed it because I looked at that archetype when I recently built my bloodrager. It doesn't change anything at first level so it's an easy fix.
For those of you that made it, if I could get the following information please.

SOrry for being so late... I didn't see the announcement of who got picked.
Torrel the Sacred Exorcist |
Looking back, I'm not sure these two Archetypes stack, so I might need to make a slight change to my character, just as a head's up. I'm looking into it real fast first, but I might need to drop Separatist which grants me the Defense Domain rather than one of Sarenrae's normal ones. Right now, the only thing that would change is my saves would all go down by one and I'd swap out one spell.
Torrel the Sacred Exorcist |
I went ahead and changed the character, just to be safe. Init, Perception, and AC all remained the same.
Also I noticed I made a mistake so my correct info is:
DM Beckett
Torrel the Sacred Exorcist
5,274-28
Liberty'sEdge
No Day Job

Looks like we should easily wrap this up in a few days, well before Game Day starts next weekend. I will be running The Wounded Wisp for GD V, and you are all welcome to join if you would like.
HERE is the like for that game.
As this was not only my first time GMing PbP, but also my first time with Pathfinder, I would greatly appreciate any feedback from all of you. Some of you are pretty experienced with PFS and I will take all the criticism I can. From my own perspective, I must say this was a pretty boring game to GM without much opportunity to role play. Going into it, I knew it was a straightforward dungeon crawl though, without much of a social aspect.
Terril the Everchanging |
I think your doing a good job. You set out with a goal in mind (speed-running in this case), and it's working well. It is a shame that there's no RP opportunities in MotFF, since that's where PbP shines in my opinion, but one has to start somewhere.
The Wounded Wisp has RP aplenty, so I hope you'll cut your teeth on that one. I wont be joining though, as I have ended up in so many games for Gameday 5, and the scenario is old hat for me.
Laureglyn |
I'm already signed up for another wounded wisp game with another character, but thanks for the invite.
I think you're doing fine with a very linear type game... like it's been said - it's not got a lot of opportunity for rp, but you're handling the combats fine.
Torrel the Sacred Exorcist |
Ill try to get some tips and feedback to you tomorrow when I get a chance.
Torrel the Sacred Exorcist |
You are doing a good job, and it can be difficult to get going with, especially jumping into running a play by post. I'll also say that in my opinion, MotFF is a pretty poor scenario/module all around. It doesn't have a lot of options, rp, or really much in the way of anything besides a very basic set up. It's very fast.
Some suggestions I can make, more to help out and keep things both running and interesting, even for the DM, is to try to avoid leaving too many choices up to the group as you reasonably can. In a face to face game, it only takes a few seconds for the group to make a choice with consensus if they want to try the door on the right, left, middle, etc. . . But in PbP, where everyone, including the DM is waiting around for possibly a full day just to get an answer, if the choice leads to basically an area that is "you search the room and find nothing", it's generally better to simply say that up front, and then make the choice to go the other way for everyone. If there are more than one choice left that have something to find/encounter, at least it helps to narrow it down some. Not a critic as much as advice.
On our side of things, and I mean this as a group, being more active in posting does make things more interesting, so I'll try to make a better effort at doing that. I generally hate level 1 and 2 play, as there are not a lot of options or interesting things to do, but I'll try better.
Torrel the Sacred Exorcist |
Thanks for running, and I apologize again I wasn't able to be as active as I'd like.
Laureglyn |
thanks for the chronicle and the game!
Torrel the Sacred Exorcist |
Yes, thanks for the game. Chronicle looks good.
