My players started into the Sunken Queen last game session (5 of them, four at 14th level and a cleric cohort @ 10th, I think). They were TPK'd...

(If it sounds like I messed up any of the above, please point it out. We're picking up again tonight with new characters and if I can find an excuse to say, "I *really* screwed up and I want to give the party another chance" then I'd like to know it. :))

Can't spring attack great cleaves.

Also, giving a monster with 8d6+18 damage great cleave is... kind of pushing it. A shoggoth, CR 19, does a great cleave at 3d6+15.

The silt thing is just the cherry on top.

At the same point, however... a level 10 cleric can cast Freedom of Movement.

Name: Porker

Race: 1/2 Orc
Classes/levels: 9th Level Fighter
Adventure: Wake the Watcher
Location: Undiomede House, room F14
Catalyst: Albor Voltiaro
The Gory Details: The Paladin and Porker the Fighter charged forward to attack Albor, Albor cast Blade Barrier covering both their spaces. The Paladin jumped out of it and Porker stayed in it to get one more attack on Albor, and then jumped out the window the only way to get out of the BB without walking through another section of it. He had a ring of Feather Fall. The battle continued to rage above. The party wizard cast fly on Porker he flew back up and though the window. The blade barrier was now dispelled. the Paladin and Porker again charged up to attack Albor. The Paladin had 6 mirror images up and Porker was damaged still from the Blade Barrier. Albor then cast Harm on Porker who missed his save took 120 HP bringing him down to -56 Hit Points. Albor was dispatched by the party shortly thereafter.

1. Blade Barrier is a straight line and cannot be curved or turned unless it is made into a ring around the caster.

2. Mirror image is a personal only spell.

3. Harm cannot reduce someone past 1 hit point.

Sounds like fun, though. Flying... porkers.
