![]() The night continues with the normal routine of heading back to the Lorrimor estate without any instance. The dinner is scrumptious as per Kendra's hospitable way. The night ends with a loud gale beating strongly against the wooden structure. the window panes clammier as the rain beats heavily against them. The wind is howling all throughout the night and a overall uneasy chill rests firmly in the night air. The party tosses and turns throughout the night but awake surprisingly refreshed. The morning sun peeks through the clouds as everyone wakes up.

![]() Hello fellow nerds! I am currently running a Carrion Crown AP that has the group just hitting level two. A player has recently left the game and I am looking for a replacement in a couple days. I recommend looking through the gameplay feed to get an idea of the group so far before making any submissions. good luck throughout the process. Its a 20 point buy with no drop stats below 8 before racial modifiers and take the appropriate gold for second level. Here is the Adventure background about two days after the late professor was buried. Please make sure to have a proper tie in to the story. Good Luck everyone! any questions ill answer throughout the next couple days. I will make my decision hopefully at the end of the week and will contact the picked individual via private messaging prior to closing the recruitment feed. ![]()
![]() Sorry for the two day delay, I was out of town this weekend for a Warhammer fantasy tournament and then yesterday it was my father-in-laws birthday. But fear not the wayward DM Pizzmic has returned! The Townsfolk skitter off from the memorial but the party is greeted with several thanks from Sheriff Caeller and for your swift actions in protecting the townsfolk as well as stabilizing ole Miss Weatherby. Vladlena investigates the statue's foundation scribbling down several names of the fallen guardsmen while Norna helps to restore the mess with a little prestidigitation magic. Once all are satisfied the boisterous halfling Bard leads the party towards the town making sure to stop at every out of the way farm house on the path. The collective of residents hesitantly open their doors looking at the halfling as he starts his performance, often slamming the door cursing him for the intrusion. There were still a few that indulged the little man as he danced on their porch unknowingly tapping their feet for a few moments before regaining composure. The party makes their way to the Outward Inn for the lunch promised to Burlee. Sarianna having already heard the drama at the memorial greets the party with free stouts and ample food even compared to Burlee's standards. The patrons are still standoffish but when you make eye contact you aren't met with as many glares and even the occasional nod. The day ends with another storm erupting off in the horizon as you make your way back to the Lorrimor estate. The party is just arriving to the cluttered but welcoming home just as Kendra begins to prepare another feast for her swift acting guardians. Cue Scene ![]()
![]() @Vladlena this is the description already provided on page 7 of the feed. DM PIZZMIC wrote: you approach there is a small crowd assembling around the large granite memorial. The statue stands a good 30ft tall resembling a man poised with one hand behind his back and the other tucked in his shirt postured as if waiting for a portrait to be drawn. The base of the statue is covered in moss but has several brass placards with a name inscribed on each one. in the front of the statue just opposite of the river there is a large bloody "V" splattered across the foundation.

![]() I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure that temporary ability damage heals like non lethal damage. 1point per hour per level. Regardless for simplicity's sake the combined efforts of Heto and Eldon seem to stabilize the woman until better suited help arrives
![]()
![]() Sorry about that everyone. Yes Eldon attacked the insect attacking Norna and it falls to the ground dead as priory described. Burlee also runs up towards the Old lady and swings his axe at the creature perched in front of him. The stout dwarf rips the last remaining stirge in half with one single blow........END COMBAT! You will be able to apply updates to your level 2 characters after the PC's have gotten a chance to sleep one full 8 hr shift. ![]()
![]() Being that Genesis still hasn't posted I will go ahead and DM PC him for this round so everyone else can continue.
Round One
Round Two The two remaining stirges continue their feeding frenzy ignoring the combat and hysterical screams as the townsfolk flee the scene
The entire party may take their appropriate actions Stirges- Continues sucking blood from their victims
Knowledge nature checks please ![]()
![]() This is the order of how things have just occurred Eldon hopefully this better explains the situation. 1.The stirge acted in the surprise
![]()
![]() Initiative order:
Attack on the Old Lady: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 She takes more damage as she is defenseless
Burlee swings his axe again this time going in a rage when doing so. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Kendra and sheriff Caeller are busy ushering the townsfolk away form the memorial as the party deals with the pest problem. ![]()
![]() @ Eldon I was looking over your damage output and i thought that was pretty high for a halfling bard so i pulled in your stats on hero lab and I think you've made a mistake with how you are calculating your damage. I see you have the weapon finesse feat. which allows you to use your dex bonus on attack rolls (the to hit rolls). So unless I'm reading something wrong you swung a mighty 4 damage at the stirge on your turn not 7. ![]()
![]() Eldon comments on the buzzing from the woods immediately five stirges burst through the wooden canopy and begin lunging at unsuspecting townsfolk, one has planted itself firmly on a elderly woman plunging its needle like mouth deeply into the poor woman's shoulder. She shrieks briefly before passing out and falling limp to the ground.
Initiative Baddies: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Initiative order:
Stirges attack is touch based
The giant insects swoop back and forth and then lunge at the four party members wrapping their barbed legs firmly around each of you piercing through flesh siphoning blood with each second that passes. Burlee Eldon and Norna you all get to act during the surprise round being you were aware of the insects before they arrived, Once the PC finish their actions in the surprise round the first round will begin with the insects acting before the rest of the party.

![]() The sheriff moves away from the door letting the little halfling skip ahead as he waits for the rest of the party to accompany the group. Burlee mutters to himself as he had only just begun breakfast but grabbing a heaping pile on the bread platter follows the crowd south towards the Harrowstone Memorial. The party walks southward towards the southern intersection and follows a cobblestone path veering towards the river, as you approach there is a small crowd assembling around the large granite memorial.
Eldon: The caws of a few circling buzzards attract your attention to a small lump of fur about 20 feet away from the statue, upon closer inspection you see the bowels have been roughly removed from the animal's stomach. The feline has a belled collar with the name FeFe written on the collar. You see the lifeless cat's frozen in a state of utter terror, its eyes jutting out slightly from their sockets and its mouth slightly agap. You shutter looking at the horrid sight before turning away. ![]()
![]() the sheriff looks intently at Vladlena and further still at Eldon as he approaches. Well maybe you all could be so kind if you would be so kind to follow me I can properly show you my reason for concern. You readily understand that his request is merely out of respect for Ms. Lorrimor and you don't have any option but follow him. ![]()
![]() The morning activities begin as normal as everyone gets ready for the day ahead. Kendra prepares another delicious breakfast where Norna tells her story to the group. Kendra stares fairly disturbed by the account and the concern turns to confusion at Eldon's follow-up comment but remains silent.....KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK There is a loud bang from the front door. ![]()
![]() Norna sits alone muttering to herself in the living room after all else have gone to sleep, pulling out the planchette she places it on the table where Burlee plunged his axe the night before. she opens the wooden case and reveals the board with inlaid letters of the common alphabet grabbing the brass scarab places it in the center of the board and asks her first question. The candle light ominously flicker for a moment as if a breeze went through the room but the air is completely still. Norna's Will save DC13: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 Norna you feel uneasy as the hairs on your neck raise as if a feather gently nudged your shoulder. The feelings passes and your hands begin to move slowly back and forth......N.... The planchette rests on the letter 'N' and then abruptly jerks to the right....O.... the planchette centers over the letter "O" wobbling for a few moments and then lies completely still....... ![]()
![]() The party all gets ready for dinner, some cleaning up willingly others begrudgingly but all the same compliant. The dinner is a feast notable of any holiday the members celebrate with all the fixings a dainty halfling or robust dwarf could desire. The meal is finished after a couple hours of jovial fellowship recounting some of Petros' more obscure adventures. Kendra sits at the table smiling quietly listening how the professor affected all of your lives in different way, laughing at a joke here and there. She seems to be a far cry from the emotional mess of the night prior. as The candlelight begins to dim, Kendra begins to yawn more frequently as the minutes pass stretching several times before succumbing to the realization that she needs to go to sleep. She bids the party a good night and exits the kitchen, making sure the front door is securely locked she heads upstairs. ![]()
![]() The party continues towards the posting poles and head north up to the Lorrimor manner. Eldon pulls out the safely guarded key and unlocks the door. The house is filled with the aroma of several different foods being prepared down the hall. Your stomachs begin to growl with anticipation. Kendra hear the door open and emerges from within the kitchen wearing a apron with flour on part of her cheek. Welcome back everyone! How was your day?
![]()
![]() The party leaves the temple of Pharasma and heads south along the road. You pass several fields and a couple more lavish houses then the one's seen in town. You approach a grey stone bridge that is encapsulated by wooden covering that spans the length of the bridge. The wooden top creaks and moans as you pass through the bridge off in the distance you see the lumbering statue of Warden Hawkren overlooking the river. perception checks please.... ![]()
![]() Father Grimburrow staggers back as Burlee smiles his toothy grin, looking down at the dwarf he starts nervously rubbing the back of his neck and turns to Eldon. Well No, We've had other daily matters to attend too, if you are in a hurry like i said you could talk to the councilmen but you might be able to talk to Alendru Ghoroven over at the Unfurling Scroll, He done went and converted the old school-house some years back and i think he lets some folk go and look through his collection from time to time. But like i said when one of the boys is available ill get them to look through the archives. feel free to continue small talk as you wish but Father Grimburrow offers little other help at this time.... The Moon is high in the night sky with a few specks of light cutting through the clouds, Norna momentarily gazes above before continuing with the rest of the group. It's about 8:30pm, other than the two established inns the town is pretty quite with all the other business' closed for the evening. ![]()
![]() @Norna
2. The Temple of Pharasma might be a source of useful information. Petros also though they might have a list of who all died in the fire that happened 50 years ago. 3. You could investigate the Harrowstone, it is only down the road.... 4. In Petros' Journal a false crypt is mentioned in the Restlands at the intersection between Eversleep and the Black Path, he believed it to have tools needed to combat "the spirits here in Ravengro". 5. you could abandon your post, leaving kendra behind and head directly for Lepidstadt to go get dat money. 6. You can also try to improve the town's view towards the party. Describe what you plan to do and i'll make "inneractions" that will give you the chance to earn or lose trust. *New Things that seemed "important" as of today's adventure in town* 7. The Harrowstone Memorial mentioned by Gharien Muricar 8. The five high profile prisoners mentioned in the letter to Count Lorres 9. The posting poles had no work but there was a missing poster for a Black and White cat named FeFe who is owned by Jominda Fallenbridge
