Tessa Faundral |

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
With a sigh, Tessa mumbles "Fine Eydor. I won't throw you."
Recognizing the spells being cast, Tessa frantically starts tearing through her bag. "Guys...gals...things...it's summoning something even more dangerous! We've got to stop it!"
Yanking things out and tossing them aside, she continues to mutter to herself 'Pot...not. Formulae Book? No...I need that...hmmm...' Setting on her bedroll, she brings her arm back and takes aim.
Throw Bed roll at creature?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Any chance it could unroll in air and entangle it? :-P
I'm planning on going into the room next round and praying Robori blesses my will save.

GM Sphen |

Any chance it could unroll in air and entangle it? :-P
If you had hit her touch AC, maybe I'd have allowed a CMB check. But an 11 gets you nothing.
WILL Save vs. Daze: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
It would have stopped the spell, so good try there.
Saira and Snyk are still up, then back to creature.

Snyk |

Gotta stop that spell
Snyk twirls his dagger to holds it by the point and deftly throws it at the flying creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Saira Hosk |

Saira mutters Screw this to herself before casting a spell and reloading her crossbow
I cast true strike on myself. It takes a standard action to cast, so won't be of any use before next round

GM Sphen |

ROUNDS FOR SUMMON: I
Erylium finishes her spell with a smirk, Ha! Your pathetic attempts are laughable. You might as well give up and leave!
A small lightning elemental shows up to join the fun.
AC: 14, T:13, FF: 12
HP: 11
Speed fly 100 ft. (perfect)
Melee slam +5 (1d4 plus 1d3 electricity)
Metal Mastery (Ex): A lightning elemental gains a +3 bonus on attack rolls if its opponent is wearing metal armor, is wielding a metal weapon, or is made of metal (such as an iron golem).
You all can read this if you want. The elemental is flying just above Hanress (not so on the map, didn't want to cover Harness' token.)
It will, of course, attack Harness to make use of the Metal Mastery.
Melee Slam: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 3 = 19
A narrow miss, but the elemental looks as determined as a humanoid lighting bolt can.
Erylium points towards Snyk and intones, Sweet dreams.
Snyk Will Save DC 13: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
Snyk immediately falls asleep, sliding onto the floor.

Harness |

Harness frowns as Snyk chooses a strange and immensely inappropriate time to nap.
I will have words young Snyk! Likely staying up all hours playing eggs-box again...
Regardless of Snyk's snoozetime, Harness focuses on the flying demon again, stabbing concertedly with Cavenn's deific blessing from Robori-Desna.
Thkwipp!!!: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11[+4 Str, +1 BAB] [+2 if somehow flanking with Snyk]
Bit of Luck Thkwip!!!: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 1 = 18
Splshtt!!!: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Tessa Faundral |

"Screw this." sighs Tessa, drawing her club and charging forward. "ROBORI GUIDE ME!"
Rushing forward, the elven woman leaps at the foe...promptly plummeting 'downward' as soon as she crosses the threshold. "Oye!" she shrieks, lashing out wildly as she flies past the nuisance.
Move 10ft forward; attack; fall
Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Club vs Erylium: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
B Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 5
If able to reduce fall damage...
Acrobatics to reduce fall: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

GM Sphen |

Tessa: That does prevent the fall damage, instead you just slide down the side of the room.

Saira Hosk |

Saira mutters a prayer under breath and let's her bolt fly.
Attack: 1d20 + 20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 20 + 1 - 4 = 36
Conform Crit: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 1 - 4 = 7
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Crit not confirmed. But hey, I hit the damn thing

GM Sphen |

AS EYDOR
Eydor will enter the room and try to get up next to the creature.
WILL Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
WILL Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
EYDOR PASSESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He then tries to cast a spell on it as he flies past it. I don't know if he's already used this spell. I went back a few pages and only found daze and magic missle, so I'm saying he hasn't.
Spell Touch Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
And he misses with the attack as he soars past, landing on his feet on the far side of the room. The door into the room is now "up" for him.
Well, at least he still has the charge in hand.

GM Sphen |

As Erylium
Seeing the doorway now clear, Erylium grabs the bag she was stuffing things into (move action) and flies out of the doorway, down the hallway, and rounding the corner into the other room (B9)(move action). As she leaves, she scowls at Eydor and says, You have your trophy. Let it curse your existence as it did mine. Saira sees her path and can, of course, relay as much info as she wishes.
Fly Check vs. Saira CMD(+5): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
ROUNDS OF SUMMON: II
The lightning elemental has no other instructions, so continues its attack on Hanress.
Elemental Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 3 = 18
And another miss on the giant metal tank roaming around the dungeon.
Round over. Everyone is back up. If no one pursues the quasit, then the only threat is the elemental. Your choice.

Cavenn the Black |

Cavenn will give pursuit, following Erylium down the hallway. "Too many questions to let it leave!"
Double move
Will save if necessary: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Tessa Faundral |

"Stop that thing! I'll keep this one occupied...as long as I can." calls out Tessa. Stepping forward, she draws her club.
Raising an arm for protection, she swings the club wildly towards the elemental. "Have at thee squallywag!"
Club attack vs Elemental, defensive: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 1 - 4 = 8
B Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Draw club as move, 5ft step, swing wildly

Harness |

Something occurs to Harness. This room is not quite right. He tries to imagine down is toward the route the...first flying creature took.
Will he geddit?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
He jumps...but no, down is still down the way it was moments before. Saddened to be stuck down here he half-heartedly stabs at the new flying thing. Though his strength is immense, even Cavenn's aid doesn't help his despondent aim...
Skiwww!!!: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 1 = 12
Lucky?: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10
Splshthhth!!!: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

GM Sphen |

Cavenn: You concentrate on "falling" through the doorway, and suddenly fling forward towards it, stumbling as you step out of the room and the gravity reasserts itself, then start charging down the hall after the quasit. But, as you fly past it, the elemental takes a swipe.
Elemental AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Making contact, it deals
Slam Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4 and Electricity Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
7 total damage to you. But you have mostly caught Erylium. She is still around a hard corner though, so no AoO's on her if she casts or moves.

GM Sphen |

AS EYDOR
Eydor stops for a bit to collect himself and breath in and out deeply.
AS ERYLIUM
The little demoness continues her trip, flying quickly out of site.
Double move aciton.
The Elemental takes it's dying breath to attack Harness ONE MORE TIME!
Elemental Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 3 = 17
And because Harness is a walking mound of invincible, he once again avoids the hit.
I'm going to call this combat over. The Elemental summon dissipates at this time. The quasit is out of range and no one has the move speed to catch up to her. So let's call this multi-week combat over and done and get back to some good ole' fashioned role playing.

Harness |

Harness blinks as the elemental fizzes out of existence. Moving gingerly in the strange gravity the adamantian makes a cradle for Snyk and gently brings him to ground.
"There there my little lord. Rest easy. We will need you fresh quite soon I am sure."
Somewhat brutally Harness angles his head up and away and bellows "Cavenn!?! CAVENN!?!?" with possibly enough volume to shock Snyk into wakefulness.

GM Sphen |

Somewhat brutally Harness angles his head up and away and bellows "Cavenn!?! CAVENN!?!?" with possibly enough volume to shock Snyk into wakefulness.
That's some good flavor. Snyk was going to wake up soon anyway.
Snyk: You are awoken by the loud bellow reverberating form the metal man you use as a friend/bodyguard.And don't worry everyone. I'm never one to pass up the chance to have a reoccurring villain. She'll be back......when you least expect it.

Tessa Faundral |

Stowing her club, Tessa wipes her hands on her pants. "Well, that was...troublesome. Everyone ok? Perhaps we should go up then? I think this place is sufficiently cleansed for Robori's needs."
'And I'm out about out of his daily blessings...I think we should rest before trying this again...'
"Oh, anyone still hurt?"

Harness |

Harness strokes the ratfolk's brow and sets the little fellow on his ever ready feet.
"My friend, you fell asleep. You must rest more of a night. The flying creature got away I am afraid..."
Harness stands and stares at the door that ate Caven.
"CAVENN!?!" the adamantian bellows again.

Harness |

The items: - a ragged book, a scroll, a bottle of wine, a dead raven surrounded by a halo of floating and writhing maggots, and a twisted iron wand with a forked tip.
Did Erylium take/use any of those?

GM Sphen |

Sorry I've been out of it for the past few days. Busy weekend. Very tired.
No, Erylium did not take any of these items.
Saira: They all glow with a magical aura.
Rules interpretation. Any item that is to be studied with a spellcraft check must be handled by the person doing it. You can determine schools with the detect magic through the usual concentrating on an item for 3 rounds. But to learn more, you must make physical contact.

Saira Hosk |

Everything she left is magical. I'm not the best at determing just how yet, but if you need me to look at them closer, let me know. I'll leave the preliminary study to Eydor.
Saira informs the group of what she sees before turning to something she is more equipped to handle. Is anyone else hurt? I am out of healing spells, but I can still channel if there is need. She looks at Cavenn. I'm sure you could probably still use some more aid. My spells didn't seem to be very effective

Tessa Faundral |

"If need be, I can take a look at the items tomorrow. Unfortunately, I can only do that spell once a day right now."
"I do have a curative aid of Robori still available if needed."

GM Sphen |

Eydor: I'm going to go ahead and roll the Spellcraft checks for you.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 = book
The aura on this book is a preservation spell, and it is clear from the style that this book is centuries old.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 = scroll
The scroll holds the spell burning hands at CL 3rd.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 = wand
This is a wand of shocking grasp; CL 1st, 28 charges.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 = raven
This morbid fetish is also preserved through magic and continually generates maggots every day.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 = wine bottle
The final thing is this large bottle of wine, once again with preservation magics. It is clearly several centuries old and could be worth up to

Harness |

Harness holds the magical raven fetish to the heavens, seemingly not bothered by the tiny rain of maggots that drops on to his armored form. "An unliving bird, that is not undead, that makes living maggots! Truly Robori's creation is wondrous!"

Cavenn the Black |

As Cavenn waits for the healing grace of Desna, he smirks at Harness' remarks. "Yes, truly wonderful. And as the little demon escaped us, I say we head back up to the surface and rest and recover."

GM Sphen |

As Cavenn waits for the healing grace of Desna, he smirks at Harness' remarks. "Yes, truly wonderful. And as the little demon escaped us, I say we head back up to the surface and rest and recover."
Does everyone agree? Time to head back up and report what all you found out?

Harness |

Harness blinks.
"Rest. Recover. Activities to remove, repair and reassess."
The metallic man blinks again, as if hyperfast calculations buzzed through his cortex.
A maggot drops onto his brow.
"Yes. Unless there is more to this undergound complex? Did the...flying creature disappear, or are there yet. Ore corridors to explore?"
Given there isn't, let's go topside!

Tessa Faundral |

Pulling a vial from the folds of her clothes, she holds it out to Cavenn. "Here you go. May Robori's grace mend your open sores."
As she releases the vial, its magical energies tend to swirl and fade. "Oh, sorry...guess he hasn't deemed you worthy yet."
Sorry...my mistake...this alchemist doesn't have infusion discovery yet.
Glancing back the way they'd come, she nods. "I agree. Lets rest and see if we have better luck tomorrow."

GM Sphen |

Well, I was waiting for everyone to chime in an opinion, but it's been the better part of a week. Since everyone who has spoken has said go back up, that's what you will do.
Moving back through the corridors, you pass the moaning creatures in the pits, back through the abandoned jail and the dead abominations, past the red statue of the woman now without the ranseur, down the hallway, and back into the non-worked stone. You glance left and down the tunnel towards where it opens out to the beach below the cliff upon which the glassworks sits. You instead turn right and head back into the basement of said glassworks. Making your way quickly back upstairs, you see something you haven't seen for hours. Pure, natural daylight. It takes a moment for your eyes to adjust, and when they do, you notice the people. Town guardsmen move about the floor, picking up bodies of goblins and clearing them out of the building under the direction of the one-eyed Sgt. Gaz (no bridges, I promise). One of them turns and apporoaches the group, you all recognize Lt. Sphen, left in charge of the guards by Sheriff Hemlock when he left for Magnimar.
There you lot are, he says roughly as he moves up. Locals said that they say you all re-enter the building a few hours ago, but it's been long enough that we grew concerned. Did you all find anything new?
