I need vision on the creature which I suppose I don't have since there's a door in front and he's flying (Plus all the people in front of me) to cast either daze or magic missile. True strike is individual, and I could cast it on myself for the next round, but we have no guarantees that I'll be able to move forward (And considering everyone but one person is in front of me, I'm probably not even going to fight this)

GM Sphen |

Okay, so this is what we are going to do. Since no one really seems to understand the subjective directional gravity optional rules, we aren't going to implement them. Normal gravity will be in affect for this room and we are going to simply restart the entire encounter. I'm going to move everyone back into the hallway, and consider that no actions have been taken.
The enemy is still last in initiative, so everyone gets to take their turns first. It is still flying in front of the door, it is NOT flat-footed since it had the surprise round, and it is flying. Going through the door will cause you to immediately slide down the side of the spherical wall to the bottom of the room.
It is a DC 15 Acrobatics check to stay standing when this happens, or else you go prone. Any questions?

GM Sphen |

Alright, quick vote. Keep the rules or ditch them? Every vote given by end of day will count, but I'm not going to wait super long on this.

GM Sphen |

Sounds like a keep. I'll move the pieces back when I get home.
Answers to other questions:
OSW: Yes. If you successfully maintain the grapple and reposition or drag (whichever gets you into the room), you would fall with it. This would allow it another save to escape as an immediate action.
Zamdoc: For the sake of magic missile , yes you can.

GM Sphen |

Okay, I'm pretty sure I have everyone back to where they were. Let's finish up turns and then we'll see what happens.

Officially going on the record that losing a standard action by failing to hold something seems a little onerous on the part of the Pathfinder ruleset. I guess having no such rules in PF 2 might just be seen as not quite a retrograde step. I think. Are there any rules left in PF 2?
I've heard the rules have been reduced to...show up. Throw something (Preferrably a d20) at the GM and receive a chronicle sheet. ;-)
Truthfully, I've only played 2 Playtest games so...I'm not fully versed on the ruleset yet. It was enjoyable playing a Titan Mauler though. I've built something like 10 'Titan Mauler' Barbarians for PF1 so far but...haven't had a chance to play one yet.

How am I aiding Harness if I'm so far from him? Maybe I missed a rule but shouldn't I be next to him to do that?
Edit: I must say I'm sorry for the very slow posting I'm bringing up. I'm dealing with some personal issues (Mainly depression and the reasons I have it) so dealing with even simple things is an uphill battle. If needed, you can replace me, but I'll try as much as possible to post regularly. No guarantees, as I hope you understand.

GM Sphen |

Zamdoc: Theres a lot to unpack there. So let me start and see where we end up.
I hope you get the help you need for your depression. We wont replace you just because things are difficult. All I ask is that you let us (or at least me) know if/when you take a break. Or give me permission to bot you now if you think you'll still be fighting this. Obviously your health is more important than this (or any) game, but we will be here when you're done.
As for the aide checks: you are correct. Normally you have to be closer. But it had been a week and I wanted to be able to continue without committing to using anyone's resources.
I feel I speak for all of us when I say, "We have your back."

GM Sphen |

Please don't guess, Zamdoc. If you need help, find it. I've lost people to this sort of thing.

GM Sphen |

Zamdoc: According to the map as it is, Harness is not in Eydor's way. Harness is at the bottom of the sphere room, Eydor is still in the hallway. You do have to be in the room to have the affects of the subjective gravity, which you can do with a 5 ft. step.
OSW: If I could make a 3D map, I would. Everyone can always just go back and reread previous posts to remind themselves where people are at.

GM Sphen |

I've tried it out. I listen on Podbean and they only have the first 7 episodes.
It's hard for me to get into actual play podcasts. I've tried almost all there is and just can't pay enough attention to get anything out of it. Its just not the same when I'm not at the table.
Was there anything they could do that would increase listenability, do you think?

SkaTalon |

No clue. I couldn't get into critical role and that's the one everyone likes.
I like listening to Know Direction when they discuss game content. Things like feats/playstyles etc from a metagame point of view. So maybe more metagaming or explaining things from a gameplay perspective rather than a roleplay? I honestly don't know.

That's fair. Just not your thing.
I actually got to meet Vanessa Hoskins from Know Direction this January at Winter War (local Con). Drove all the way out to attend from PA.

GM Sphen |

The glassmaker was found upstairs. You guys were investigating because Eydor kept hearing a voice and then you wanted to make sure that all the creatures were cleared out.
You've been down every corridor and tunnel, cleared every room. As far as I know, there's nothing left for you all to do down here.

GM Sphen |

There was another branch (not on the map) of the tunnel that lead somewhere else. This branch lead to these ruins.

GM Sphen |

Fair warning to everyone. I'll be extra super busy next week. The convention that I help organize starts on the 26th and I'm running 7 different scenarios (presuming Paizo ever gets the to me). So I won't be on much for that time. I'll try and check in as much as possible, but no promises.

GM Sphen |

Okay guys, I got through the convention. I still have some work to do with the financial part of things, but I should have my ........ stuff ...... together before the end of the day. So I'll kick things back off tomorrow with a full post to catch us all up and get us back in gear.
Thanks for the patience with me not being around enough to run the game this past week and a half. Hopefully everyone is still having fun with the game and is ready to get back into it.
And, in case you were curious, Farmageddon was a ton of fun and we were able to donate $500 to the very newly formed scout troop in Colfax Illinois.

GM Sphen |

Hey guys, I know the game has been faltering, but let's try to pick it back up. I'm back on track and want to keep it moving.
Just remember something about my GM style. I try to never assume actions on the players behalf. That being said, does everyone just want to fast forward to tomorrow morning?

Yes.
Also Snyk Has Black Market connections which lets him treat Sandpoint as a Large Town (rather than a small town) for the purposes of buying items. So we should have access to mundane and magic items worth up to 2000g, with a die roll to determine items above that.

He can also fence stolen goods.
Snyk personally considers anything that has belonged to someone else you didn't purchase or receive as a gift as stolen, but he recognizes that most societies don't see it that way.
