"Blast it! A simulacrum!? We must report this to Eliza immediately! We've been sent after a decoy, and the real Hestram is furthering his plans as we speak!"
GM is our air ship still safely cruising in the air, albeit aimlessly? Does it count as a place Ralph has studied carefully since he inspected and repaired the engine?
"We're going back to the city. Now. Your majesty, if you would please come this way, we have an airship to catch before it crashes."
teleport: 1d100 ⇒ 12 With this roll I could have gotten us back to the city, but call me slightly risk averse.
Once back on the airship, Ralph will pilot it back to the city whilst awaiting the princess' debrief.

I am starting to wonder if Adril is in fact alive. A simulacum need a spellcaster and the only one we had is dead... i think. Who else have you seen is a spellcaster in your last adventure? Or maybe he is an undeath now.

The air ship crashed about the same time that Adril's did due to not having a pilot.

I will probably not be posting all weekend, but figure out how you are getting back, and what you want to do with the unconsciousl princess
The guard, seeing what Ralph just did, prostrates himself in front of the wizard. "You must be our new god! What is your name, oh heavenly one? he asks in Azlanti.

I notice that to those who are untrained in the ways of magic, it might look like Ralph's fireball liquified Adril.
Determined not to have his magic appear to be lacking, Ralph decides to take a chance on a teleport spell. But first, he uses his spell study ability to cast tongues on himself so that the soldiers will hear him in their own tongue. Using web and glitterdust to cast it from the bard spell list.
"The false god Adril Hestram incurred my wrath and suffered the consequences. That is all. Now bring the princess here, and the sword as well. It is time for both to be returned to their proper place."
When the princess is brought to Ralph, if it looks like she is unconscious because of physical wounds, he will use spell study again to cast cure serious wounds (using ray of exhaustion and dispel magic) on the princess.
Cure serious wounds: 3d8 + 12 ⇒ (5, 4, 3) + 12 = 24
"Princess, we are allies of Odrian. The Seekers of Lore and Finders of Paths. You are amongst friends. It is time to restore things here to their rightful order."
"Anyone who wants to return to the city should come to me now."
teleport: 1d100 ⇒ 62
Target will be the box where Adril Hestram and the princess were sitting at the colosseum.

As the princess recovers from her wounds, she looks up to Ralph. "Thank you. We should get back, soon. Arl is going to be a mess with everything that happened. Is my brother safe?" she asks. She also looks at the Starsword, as if it belongs to her now.
We'll be wrapping this up pretty quick, now that I am back from Con of the North, and mostly recovered.
How is Koraq being raised? You'll have access to the proper spellcasters in Arl. Never mind... i see it in the discussion thread.

"Regrettably, your brother was killed by the wife of the traitor Skelg, who served as Adril's supposed champion. Rest assured he has been... avenged."
GM..Silbeg

At Ralph's revelation, Princess Verrish breaks down for a moment, as the weight of what she just learned hits her, hard. It lasts but a moment, however, as she stands up and straightens herself up. She then notices the corpse of Koraq still in Géatan's arms, and and takes a deep breath.
With a surprising change of demeanor she says, "We see that you are not without your losses. We shall continue my brother's quest to unite Arl beneath an Akitonian ruler. We shall assume the throne as Thurok and let Our people know that the time of their hiding behind the course mantle of their superstitious ways is over.
"Wizard, please transport us back home."
Ralph teleports them back Including the surviving guard, I assume? to the arena, where Verrish quickly leaves, heading to the palace, where she quickly takes over as Thurok.
She relinquishes the Starsword to you and declares to the people of Arl that the time has come for them to shrug off the coarse mantle of their superstitious barbarian ways and become a civilized people. Many in Arl grumble about this change and things are neither perfect nor peaceful as you leave, though they are better than the city’s short time under the Beast.

i will.
Géatan will take a pouch from his belt. Inside there are lot of grain of cultivate from his world. He also takes a chronicle.
"Miss, i would say in the behalf of the society. That we are extremely sorry about what our organisation have caused for you. We have bring until now, more bad things than good things and i will understand if you chose to close the portal to golarion.
Being captive of Adril must have been a horrible experience.
But we would still like to have a contact with your planet. Our first mission is to at first to gives knowledge. And both of our world would have something to gain from a relation that start with new base.
This link would bring a prosperity for your reign. In this pouch, hundred of seeds of vegetable and fruit can be raised in your planet. I don't know if your climate will substain them, but this why experimentation exist.
Also, i have with me a book that have some informations about golarion and his diversity. "

"If you mean by your traitor, the Beast, then I don't know where it would be. The one that you killed in the desert was the only one of him we had seen since he arrived. He assassinated Prince Odrian, my husband. He, his witch, Natalya, and his champion, Skelg, surprised us in our sleep, killing him in an ignoble manner. If he had had any nobility within him, he would have challenged my husband to single combat in the arena. I thank you for ridding us of the Beast"
She thanks Géatan for the seeds and the book, and agrees that their relationship should be off to a good start, though they will need to assert their independence for some time.

Diplomacy has been rolled.
"I am sorry, but my husband's corpse was burned by the Beast. He left me nothing of my husband, though he may have take some things himself. Of his minions, it is my understanding that you left them both as they lay, on the sands of the arena and in the hold of your ship."
Assuming you recounted most of your tale."
She continues, "As for the change of name, the title 'Thurok' is much like your 'King' or 'Queen'. So, though I free my people of the off-world tyranny, and from their barbarity, I take the role and title as their leader into more civilized times.
"I relinquish the Starsword to declare to the people of Arl that the time has come for them to shrug off the coarse mantle of their superstitious barbarian ways and become a civilized people."

"I have no doubt that it will be of interest to the Society for its lore alone, but I cannot help but feel that its place is here, if only to serve as a reminder of a more oppressive time. Whilst your city's association with our Society through your husband is now at an end, it does not mean we cannot be allies. Our planets remain connected through the Maze of the Open Road, and though it is not safe right now, once it is, I see no reason we cannot continue to be allies. I for one would love to return here to study your planet and its lore, and I have no doubt you will find my powers useful in securing your new regime."
Apart from assuring her of our goodwill, I'm not sure what else there is to do here. Ralph at least would want to be on her good side, Society notwithstanding, since the prospect of a whole new planet to study is like candy to the Ralph as a scholar. If friendly relations have been established, I am ready to proceed.

While you enjoy the celebration of your victory over King Adril’s tyranny, Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro herself comes through the portal, findsyou, and gives them dire tidings: Adril Hestram is in the Grand Lodge of Absalom and his assault is underway! If you don’t come with her immediately, the future of the Society may very well be no future at all!
Finish up your purchases, and we'll get started soonish. I have a bit of prep work to for the next part...

When Koraq returns to the mortal realm, he glares slowly around the room, growling. "That's it; next zombie I come across is getting ripped to shreads!"
But when news of the attack on the Grand Lodge hits his ears, his eyes glow red for a second. "Hold that thought, need to punch the ever-living daylights outta that bastard!"

The glowing red portal from Akiton to the Maze of the Open Road on distant Golarion rises from the pinnacle of the towering pyramid ahead, as howling, icy winds tear across the red sands, whipping them into an angry, biting torrent. Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro rushes up the structure, turning back only briefly to ensure that she’s being followed. Reaching the top of the massive structure, she turns to speak, but pauses for a moment to think. Her voice wavers with a twinge of desperation and fear.
“I... we... We will never catch up to Adril if we take the Maze back. He’s already in Skyreach.”
Slowly, her pained expression surrenders to resolve. “I’m going to rift the portal. It’s the only way...”

Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro looks harried, and scared, as she replies, "We just don't have time... the maze takes hours, sometimes even days to navigate, and I just wasted far too much time getting here. We have to get to Skyreach to stop Hestram... before he completes his plan!" It is clear she does not know his plans, but from what you have already seen, it is likely that someone's life is on the line, if not those of all of the Society!

GM..Silbeg
|
"Géatan, teleporting won't work, as we are far beyond the range of that spell here on Akiton."
She turns to Auris, and says, "Oh, rifting is an extremely risky technique of tearing a hole, or 'rift', in a portal, temporarily damaging it with teleportation magic such that individuals, such as ourselves, can slip between dimensions connected to the portal, and exit pretty much anywhere between the two connected points. Usually, it is used to make a stop between the two portal points, but I think I can use the technique to bypass the Maze altogether, and force our way directly into Skyreach's portal room. However, I cannot guarantee your safety, and will not force you to follow me. I honestly think that this is the only way to save Skyreach and the Society."
She looks to the four, obviously waiting for their decision.

"This is an interesting technique that you speak of. Show me." Ralph replies with a flicker of interest in his eyes.
Auris, how much would you benefit from a CL17 Greater magic weapon? I can either grant you that or prepare an additional haste spell.
Casting:
Extended Mage armor (Ralph)
Extended Mage armor (Koraq)
Extended Overland Flight (Ralph)
Extended CL17 Greater Magic Weapon (Koraq)
Extended CL17 Greater Magic Weapon (Auris - but only if he wants it, otherwise I prepare another haste spell)
Heightened Awareness (Ralph)
Invisibility (Ralph - ring of invis, recast as needed)

“I’m going to attempt to tear a rift into the portal chamber at Skyreach. It’s sort of foyer in the tower’s upper chambers— those reserved only for the use of the Ten and their most trusted aides. It should be the easiest chamber to access, as it doesn’t actually exist in Skyreach. It’s more of a hub connected to several dimensional corridors that run through the Grand Lodge. If and when we arrive, we shall be partially insubstantial. The Decemvirate uses this property to keep their identities obscured from one another when exiting and entering their private chambers. While the Decemvirate can enter and leave the chamber at will, we shall be visitors. In order to enter, each of us needs an envoy. Within the chamber stands a basin containing a small number of special ioun stones called eraminho. These stones act as vessels for the souls of the Society’s most trusted protectors, some even former members of the Decemvirate. By activating these stones, we can connect with the spirits to gain access to the inner chambers. Once inside, we should seek out the faction rooms first, and use them to make contact with whatever allies of the Society we each may have outside the Ten themselves. These rooms are the only neutral rooms within the upper tower, so even if Adril seizes command of Skyreach, the faction rooms will remain somewhat of a blind-spot. After that, we need to get to Shemis and protect her at all costs. All set?"
