Auris leans on the railing, watching the smoke plume from the fleeing vessel. As the temperature drops, he pats the chain shirt snug against his form. "Best enchantment I ever purchased, I tell ya." he says to no one in particular.

Koraq will use his Infernal Healing wand 4 more times to heal himself up, and on Geatan as needed.
"So uh... are we just gonna jump to that ship, or can you get us on board with your magic, Ralph?"
-Posted with Wayfinder

"My preference is always to rely on my own magic," Ralph replies as he rubs his ring absently.
"This ride on an Akitonian airship has been most fascinating and I would love to study it more sometime, but if I am going to use this little trick sooner or later, I might as well do it now. Kol Voss, I am ready to end this farce. Tell your men to keep following Adril's ship. We may need them to pick us up after we're done there. And if you want to come with us, you'd best be standing beside me when I cast my spell."

![]() |

As if he summoned it with his words, Kol’s airship leans hard to starboard and begins to rapidly descend. Kol’s men scream in alarm, shouting in Azlanti that someone has sabotaged the engines!
Kol Voss and his men do their best to try and control the ship, while Kol yells to Ralph and the other Pathfinders, "Please! Head down to the engine room and see what happened! We have to protect the men! We can go later!"

![]() |

Gaétan will takes five charge. He will not like it to use devil aid but he have no choice.
Seeing the possible danger ahead. Gaétan give a magic window to Auris.
I propose that you go on front of us. Use this one way window to look into the wall and the doors.

![]() |

Ralph activates his ring of invisibility and fades from sight.
"I suppose we should be used to fixing everything by now. Let's go. I have been wanting to throw either Koraq or a fireball at Adril for some time, and by now it's long overdue."

![]() |

Throw Koraq. That funny. thinks Géatan.

![]() |

Auris takes the offered item. "Well, I've heard of this. Never had the chance to play with one however." Activating his ring as well, he begins moving down below, stopping to place the window on the floor before descending. "You big warriors need breadcrumbs to follow?" comes the cheerful quip from empty space.

![]() |

Géatan chuckles at Auris. "Not too big or too small. It will be an insult to Erastil if I can't track them."
-Posted with Wayfinder

![]() |

See slide #2
You make your way down to the gun deck, but Auris stops to put the window on the floor. Please notate where you are, and where you are putting the window. The rest of the part make their way down as well.
Move yourselves where you are ... the doors are all unlocked, so you can make your way all the way down to the engine room.
Also, can I get a reminder of your buffs, and current durations? I am going to put up a slide where we can record all of that.

![]() |

Ralph's heightened awareness was expended earlier when I did the initiative reroll, but I will use my pearl of power to regain and recast the spell.
I will also use my ring of invisibility to go invisible.
My greater magic weapon spells give a +4 bonus. I spent both uses of my focused spell ability to boost their CL to 17.
Everything else looks right to me.
GM, what is the air ship made out of? If it is metal, I will cast a communal protection from energy fire on the party. If it is wood, I will cast a communal protection from energy cold on the party.

![]() |

The ship is made of wood, predominantly.
go ahead and add those things to the charts

![]() |

@GM: Also noting an extended Mage Armor on Koraq from Ralph from before. At least makes my AC from meh to OK
"I ain't got the brains for this, but I'm the best likely to dodge somethin' if that engine 'splodes!", Koraq notes as he takes the lead towards the engine room.
[ooc]Not quite sure where the engine room is, but figure further down makes sense.[/ooc

![]() |

Correction, for some reason I have not bought an elemental metamagic rod of cold yet. I will cast communal protection from energy electricity, and will buy a cold elemental metamagic rod at the end of this scenario.
I will hold my electricity metamagic rod in my hand. Hopefully electricity will not destroy a wooden ship, since wood is a non-conductor.

![]() |

Sorry, minor correction that doesn't change anything, but Kol Voss had gone down into the engine room
Auris carefully places the window on the floor of the gundeck, and then takes a look-see through. As he is looking, he notices what looks to be a bloody arm on the floor, which appears that of Kol Voss... and then sees Koraq blundering in...
Koraq sees several of the crew members in various states of destruction. All are dead, including Kol Voss. As he does, he also notices a large, diamond-shaped crystal in the middle of the room. Its bright red glow dims and winks out as he sees it...

![]() |

"Ho boy. Guess we should go save the half-orc from whatever is down there." Auris ponders to the empty air.

![]() |

"Indeed," the "empty air" replies as Ralph casts a detect magic spell, then floats down after Koraq, staying a few feet behind him whilst concentrating on his spell.
Any knowledge or spellcraft checks to know what is happening down here?

![]() |

"Ah bloody 'ell, what in the crags is goin' on here?!", Koraq curses as the carnage in front of here. Taking an offensive stance, he waits until he can sense the otehrs nearby before further approaching towards where the crystal was.
Swift action to enter Dragon Style, if you allow it GM.

![]() |

Ralph -- heal check at best... but it looks like something strong tore them apart... that's all you can really tell. If you are talking about the crystal, you are pretty sure that this was the magical engine that was powering the ship. Which you are also pretty sure has just gone out. No checks needed.
You cannot take actions, or ready, until combat actually starts. Sorry.
That's about all you can get until more folks come down... nothing seems to be happening at the moment.

![]() |

I was asking about the crystal. I was hoping to work out what caused it to go out, and whether it was repairable.
Do the rest of you want to come down? It appears our GM is waiting for us to all go to the bottom level before something else happens.

"Oh my," Ralph growls as he brushes clumps of ice from his robes. "How tragic. But it seems the two of you know each other. Tut tut, Koraq, you should greet your friends up close."
Ralph flies a little further back from the zombies and considers his options. Mindful of the need to avoid collateral damage to the ship, he decides against using his preferred fireballs.
Koraq, I could place you next to her to full attack or grapple her as you choose, but you'd take an attack of opp from each of those zombies. How about it?

"I can't take that assault, fire support is most certainly welcome!" Auris begins dancing through the zombie ranks, ducking invisibly around Koraq and circling through the narrow gap of the far wall. After the green zombie hits him the first time, Koraq muscles it out, using his orcish blood to stay standing. The zombie then just bashes him again! It barely hits him, but is enough to kill the martial artist.

Géatan, please designate secondary targets in the future, in case your first goes down. In this case, I will use green since you just saw him kill your friend. Also, didn't you already have the fire in all but the manyshot damage?
The Erastatilian lets loose with a flurry of arrows. His first shot pierces the orange zombie twice, but does not drop it. There is a flare as the fiery arrows hit the creature. His second shot,, third arrow, finishes the job. He then turns to fire at the green zombie, out of vengeance for his friend. Three more arrows hit it in succession, each passing thought the undead flesh faster than would be expected. However, the fire from the arrows flares as it hits, finishing off green.

"I just want you to know one thing. Killing Koraq was your biggest mistake. You see, were he still alive, I would have had him subdue you and perhaps we would try to talk sense into you, then let you leave to raise your dead husband. But you killed Koraq, so now I only have this to say to you."
"Hello. My name is Ralph Cauthorn. You killed my friend. Prepare to die."
snowball touch attack: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 8 - 4 = 24 How appropriate.
