Merick the Blue |

Merick half turns on his stool, the treasured mug firmly grasped in his right hand. His head slowly swivels to the one addressing him. He immediately glances at his mug, the mug receiving the look of one who had betrayed a close friend.
He mutters "Nothing good has ever started when I've picked you up, and it looks like it won't change tonight. I admire your consistency, friend. I can always count on you." A sardonic roll of the eyes accompanies the last statement.
With that being said, he smiles politely to the lovely young woman, turning a bit more towards her as he lifts his mug in a bit of a greeting.
"Perhaps later. My trail was long and hot and right now I need to wash off the dust of the road." Apparently all the dust has settled in his mouth and throat, for the dust lays on him as thick as ever, elsewhere. The rosy hue on the tip of his nose lends credence to how often he has dusted himself off before.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
--------------------
Skilled: Humans gain an additional skill rank at 1st level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.
Reincarnated (background): You have been reborn in many cycles, and may be reborn in many more until you accomplish the ultimate task for which you are destined. You gain access to the Reincarnated faith trait, the Arisen story feat, and the Forgotten Past story feat.
Reincarnated (trait): You lived a previous life as someone—or something—else. For you, life and death are a cycle, and you have no fear of death. You gain a +2 trait bonus on saving throws against fear and death effects.
Scholar of the Ancients: Growing up with your nose in books, you’ve had a great interest in past cultures and ancient history. Furthermore, having grown up in Varisia, you know the monuments dotting the landscape belong to an ancient civilization known as Thassilon. From your life of study and dogged research, you’ve pieced together the language and partial history of this once-great empire. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (arcana) and Knowledge (history) checks, and begin play able to speak and read Thassilonian.
Forgotten Past (story): The duration of mind-affecting spells (even beneficial ones) is halved for you, to a minimum of 1 round. Your inquisitive nature gives you a +2 bonus on Perception checks. If you have 10 or more ranks in Perception, this bonus increases to +4.
Goal: Regain a major portion of your lost memories. The exact means varies, possibly requiring a wish, assistance from a divine being, reliving a past life, or confronting the situation that led to your memory loss. This process must involve encountering a challenging foe, though possibly in ways other than direct confrontation.
Completion Benefit: You roll twice whenever you attempt a saving throw against a mind-affecting effect, keeping the better result.
Special: Restoration of memories by means less significant than miracle or wish does not qualify for the prerequisite.
Gunsmith: At 1st level, a gunslinger gains one of the following firearms of her choice: blunderbuss, musket, or pistol. Her starting weapon is battered, and only she knows how to use it properly. All other creatures treat her gun as if it had the broken condition. If the weapon already has the broken condition, it does not work at all for anyone else trying to use it. This starting weapon can only be sold for scrap (it’s worth 4d10 gp when sold). The gunslinger also gains Gunsmithing as a bonus feat.
Grit (Ex): A gunslinger makes her mark upon the world with daring deeds. Some gunslingers claim they belong to a mystical way of the gun, but it’s more likely that the volatile nature of firearms simply prunes the unlucky and careless from their ranks. Whatever the reason, all gunslingers have grit. In game terms, grit is a fluctuating measure of a gunslinger’s ability to perform amazing actions in combat. At the start of each day, a gunslinger gains a number of grit points equal to her Wisdom modifier (minimum 1). Her grit goes up or down throughout the day, but usually cannot go higher than her Wisdom modifier (minimum 1), though some feats and magic items may affect this maximum. A gunslinger spends grit to accomplish deeds (see below), and regains grit in the following ways.
Critical Hit with a Firearm: Each time the gunslinger confirms a critical hit with a firearm attack while in the heat of combat, she regains 1 grit point. Confirming a critical hit on a helpless or unaware creature or on a creature that has fewer Hit Dice than half the gunslinger’s character level does not restore grit.
Killing Blow with a Firearm: When the gunslinger reduces a creature to 0 or fewer hit points with a firearm attack while in the heat of combat, she regains 1 grit point. Destroying an unattended object, reducing a helpless or unaware creature to 0 or fewer hit points, or reducing a creature that has fewer Hit Dice than half the gunslinger’s character level to 0 or fewer hit points does not restore any grit.
Deeds: Gunslingers spend grit points to accomplish deeds. Most deeds grant the gunslinger some momentary bonus or effect, but there are some that provide longer-lasting effects. Some deeds stay in effect as long as the gunslinger has at least 1 grit point. The following is the list of base gunslinger deeds. A gunslinger can only perform deeds of her level or lower. Unless otherwise noted, a deed can be performed multiple successive times, as long as the appropriate amount of grit is spent to perform the deed.
Deadeye (Ex): At 1st level, the gunslinger can resolve an attack against touch AC instead of normal AC when firing beyond her firearm’s first range increment. Performing this deed costs 1 grit point per range increment beyond the first. The gunslinger still takes the –2 penalty on attack rolls for each range increment beyond the first when she performs this deed.
Gunslinger’s Dodge (Ex): At 1st level, the gunslinger gains an uncanny knack for getting out of the way of ranged attacks. When a ranged attack is made against the gunslinger, she can spend 1 grit point to move 5 feet as an immediate action; doing so grants the gunslinger a +2 bonus to AC against the triggering attack. This movement is not a 5-foot step, and provokes attacks of opportunity. Alternatively, the gunslinger can drop prone to gain a +4 bonus to AC against the triggering attack. The gunslinger can only perform this deed while wearing medium or light armor, and while carrying no more than a light load.
Quick Clear (Ex): At 1st level, as a standard action, the gunslinger can remove the broken condition from a single firearm she is currently wielding, as long as that condition was gained by a firearm misfire. The gunslinger must have at least 1 grit point to perform this deed. Alternatively, if the gunslinger spends 1 grit point to perform this deed, she can perform quick clear as a move-equivalent action instead of a standard action.
Gunsmithing: If you have access to a gunsmith’s kit, you can create and restore firearms, craft bullets, and mix black powder for all types of firearms. You do not need to make a Craft check to create firearms and ammunition or to restore firearms.
Crafting Firearms: You can craft any early firearm for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the firearm. At your GM’s discretion, you can craft advanced firearms for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the firearm. Crafting a firearm in this way takes 1 day of work for every 1,000 gp of the firearm’s price (minimum 1 day).
Crafting Ammunition: You can craft bullets, pellets, and black powder for a cost in raw materials equal to 10% of the price. If you have at least 1 rank in Craft (alchemy), you can craft alchemical cartridges for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the cartridge. At your GM’s discretion, you can craft metal cartridges for a cost in raw materials equal to half the cost of the cartridge. Crafting bullets, black powder, or cartridges takes 1 day of work for every 1,000 gp of ammunition (minimum 1 day).
Restoring a Broken Firearm: Each day, with an hour’s worth of work, you can use this feat to repair a single firearm with the broken condition. You can take time during a rest period to restore a broken firearm with this feat.
Special: If you are a gunslinger, this feat grants the following additional benefit. You can use this feat to repair and restore your initial, battered weapon. It costs 300 gp and 1 day of work to upgrade it to a masterwork firearm of its type.
Rapid Reload: The time required for you to reload your chosen type of weapon is reduced to a free action (for a hand or light crossbow), a move action (for heavy crossbow or one-handed firearm), or a standard action (two-handed firearm). Reloading a crossbow or firearm still provokes attacks of opportunity. (Pistol chosen)
Point Blank Shot: You get a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with ranged weapons at ranges of up to 30 feet.
Extra Grit: You gain 2 extra grit points at the start of each day, and your maximum grit increases by 2.
The conspiracy was discovered and each conspirator slain by magic.
As she laid dying, Phemtia vowed to not let her death stop her and to keep coming back until the Runelords were permanently stopped.
Therana is Phemtia's latest incarnation. Therana grew up in Korvosa, where her parents were a pair of merchants that frequently sold supplies to ships that came in and out. Therana had a happy childhood, but could not help a fascination with the ruins in Varisia; she knew they were out there and would devour every tale and bit of literature about them that she could. In time, she even began to study the language, learning and practicing it as best as she could.
And then a trader came through with something unique: a firearm. Therana bugged her parents constantly about it until they gave in and paid the trader an exorbitant amount for the weapon, which Therana practiced with daily afterwards. She even had to replace the gun after it finally exploded, after which she took care to learn how to maintain the weapon as well.
In time, she grew into an adult, with her parents watching warily, uncertain of just who their daughter was turning into. She soon started to feel drawn to Sandpoint, finding she could spend hours talking about going there. She could not say way; all she knew was that it was important she make the trip. Finally, when she turned 18, her parents presented her with a set of armor and travel gear and wished her good luck on her journey. Then the girl set set out, determined to find what it was about that town that drew her.
Typically, Therana wears very obviously, Varisian-styled studded leather with a cape over it. The cape is typically kept over her gun, so that most people do not see it unless she feels a need to be dangerous. But when she relaxes, she prefers the typical dress of her homeland.
Vice: Pride- Therana doesn't like to admit it, but she has a streak of pride in what she's accomplished and learned.
Virtue: Temperance- Therana prefers not to imbibe alcohol or drugs, mostly because she has seen what it does to sailors and associates it with how they act when drunk.
Let me know if there are any mistakes?

Talori saw two figures, big, burly fighters too big for their britches, no doubt. She smiled secretly. "Hey, boys, you willing to play a game of Towers with me?" Talori drawled.
If they turn around, they see a beautiful young lady with a small smirk on her face. She has cropped purple hair and golden eyes, and she stands fairly tall. Judging by the chain shirt peeking out from under her clothes and the sword and shield on her back, she's probably the adventuring type. She wears a blue jacket and trousers, with white gloves and boots. She also has a flamboyant hat.
After being called out, Tryggve gave Talori a once over. She certainly caught his interest, with strangely colored hair and eye-catching...eyes? Really, he could almost swear that they were glowing! Forcing himself not to stare, he allowed himself a small smirk of his own; he wasn't much of a card player, but he enjoyed the challenge and risk it brought. Besides, he had the money to spare, and if she wasn't that intimidate by him, she would certainly be fun to play with.
"Sure, I might as well relax with a quick game or two."
He nodded in acknowledgment to Merek and spoke with a matter of fact tone. "Enjoy your drink and have fun dusting yourself."

Satinder Coric |

Okay, I went ahead and added the True Love story feat. If you want, I can go ahead and come up with an NPC you can go with or I'll let you make a decision cause as we go along because I know there's plenty of female NPC's out there in Sandpoint that you could change the target with. Also if you didn't see in the character sheet which is linked on the profile (and here now), his v&v is Wrath and Love. Corny, I know lol, but I really want to take this character and make him really evolve and grow, especially for the case of mythic gameplay.

Therana Silmor |

Therana frowned to herself as she entered the building. Her hood was drawn up, covering her features, with her gun kept hidden within the cloak. She barely glanced at anyone at first, looking more for anyone obviously about to start a fight.
She glanced at the man at the bar, drinking, and wrinkled her nose in disgust for a moment before smoothing her face. Another drunkard. I hope the ones here are better mannered than the ones back home.
Then she smiled to herself. But, drunkards also can't keep quiet.
She walked over towards Merick, giving Talori a friendly nod as she passed, and reached to lightly tap the bar near him to get his attention.
"Is this seat taken? Long road, and far too many days spent on it. Could use a nice drink and a nice chat."

What's your official position on alignments? Is evil allowed, so long as we're willing to work together towards our common goals?
In the mean time, as a very rough-around-the-edges concept:
After some retracing of her own footsteps, Valeria managed to piece together clues pointing to the village of Sandpoint - though nothing to suggest she'd ever made a trip there - and, as a post-graduate student with a fair degree of freedom to do as she wishes, opted to take an extended sabbatical, so as to travel across Varisia and attempt to rebuild her life, hopefully working out what happened to her along the way.
Sin - Envy: Something about youth and beauty, particularly in other women, tends to bring out Valeria's dark, brooding, spiteful side, despite the fact that she is both reasonably young (mid-20s) and reasonably attractive herself. Perhaps the reason why is hidden away in her missing memories?
Virtue - Temperance: Valeria lives a rather ascetic lifestyle, all told. While she puts both gold and effort into her spellcraft (good-quality material components; sturdy, well-tended spellbook, etc.), she spends far less on "creature comforts" (low-quality food & drink, cheap inn, etc.)

Merick the Blue |

As Merick turns back to the bar, mug raised to his lips, he hears a tap on the bar beside him. Pausing for only a moment, he chooses to ignore it, hoping that perhaps the offender was trying to get the barkeep's attention. He tilts his head back, eyes closing in anticipation of the cool bitter brew, when the voice clearly starts talking to him. He slowly lowers his mug to the bar, taking care to not slam it down in his frustration. Turning, he puts a face to the voice. Ahhhh...this one seemed like less obvious trouble than the last one. He casts a suspicious glance at his beverage of choice before smiling amiably at the newcomer.
"I believe it's first come, first serve, lady. But as long as there's drinking involved I believe a nice chat is well met." With that said, he quickly picks up his drink, taking a long pull before he can be interrupted.

GM Lord of Runes |

@MagusJanus, I'm surprised you didn't use a Gunmage or a Holy Gun! Just kidding lol! :P
@Rednal, sounds good!
RP'ers playing Towers, love the interactions! Makes me want to go grab a pint of Guinness or some sort of German microbrew and talk with some random stranger at a bar! ;)
@Satinder, nothing corny about it! Now if you were playing 'Mr.Bad@ss Trenchcoat Dude with 10 artifact katanas who only spouts one-liners to dying foes', I might say otherwise lol. I don't seem to have a problem with that thus far!
@Svalk, no need to apologize!
@Veltharis, evil is fine, so long as you can cooperate with others. Evil is not always 'eat the baby' type stuff... evil can also simply be amoral selfishness. Evil can also be used for a purpose, as Asmodeus' regime and the Hellknights of Cheliax (Yes, I know they're all not evil!) can attest to.
@Emyralda, looks good to me!
@Viluki, hey there!

Bill the Wizard |

Jingo Jango has changed his Sin and Virtue. His background and Sin/Virtue are in his profile.
Jingo Jango sits quietly by himself at a table in the corner. His bowl of stew sits steaming and untouched. He is busy scribbling in a notebook, writing down diagrams and mumbling to himself. If I just add a touch more transmutation and reduce the ratio of Conjuration to Evocation, then... NO! Stupid aether-adjustment factors, how can you be so stupid JJ!? Jingo Jango rips the page from the book, crumples it up and throws it over his shoulder. A pile of balled-up pages of paper lie on the floor near Jingo Jango.

Therana Silmor |

Therana smiled and sat down to Merick's right, motioning to the barkeep to bring her a water. She hadn't specified the drink she was after, after all.
"A nice chat is always a good way to end a long day."
She then turned to him, careful not to turn far enough to reveal the scarring on her cheek.
"Tell me a bit about Sandpoint? I'm afraid I'm new in town, and traders are not the most trustworthy of folk. The one I traveled here with tried to sell me a bridge in town! Of all of the audacious things..."
She grinned, just a bit, hoping he would catch the joke.

Zephir Strombjorn |

Character finished, adjusted traits and added story feat, + sin and virtue XD. Lemme know if anything is off or need of change to better suit the campaign. I've never tried an Oracle before and Wind seemed the lesser taken route. I rarely munchkin a lot and tend to level as i feel the character decisions lead me to . plan to stay Oracle, but mostly depends on how the story goes. XD
A large dusky skinned man in leathers walks into the tavern. He leans a wicked looking dark iron lonspear against the wall by the door, and heads up to the bar.
"Something to wet my whistle barkeep! It's been a long sea journey, and salt water tends to dry me out." Glancing around the room, he smiles at the women and nods to the men.
"So, I hear this Festival is something to see! Which of you would like to escort me around the sites? Or if not local, we could explore them together!" He again smiles at the women present and even winks at a few.
Zephir is loud and boisterous, friendly, and open in seeking companionship.

Merick the Blue |

He was still early into his pints, so he chuckled and replied.
"If you stay long enough, they'll try to sell you your own shirt off your back."
He takes another swallow, assuming a thoughtful expression.
What's to say about Sandpoint? Plagued by goblins, living in the shadows of Magnimar and Riddleport, and hot as the Nine Hells. Not that the heat is a bad thing. He nervously fiddles with something inside his pocket, whispering silently to himself.
He glances as covertly as he can, which likely means he's obvious to passersby on the street, at Jingo Jango, his eyebrows furrowing at the nonsense flowing out of his mouth. Then again...Merick WAS just conversating with a mug of beer. He turns to his right, grinning at the lady beside him as though at an inside joke.

Talori Lyons |

Hoboy. This idiot is going to earn me some gold tonight. Talori's stomach rumbled. Probably should spend some of it on food. Her stomach growled. Okay, a lot of it on food. The road definitely wrung a few pounds off of me.
Giving a charming smile, Talori teaches him how to play.
Opposed Sense Motive and Bluff checks. You can take 10 if you want to. If you fail, you hand over 1d6... Let's say silver. You can give up, or you can play for 13 hands. You can use Profession: Gambler to aid another on yourself on each of these checks.
The young woman suddenly seems very... Professional. She quickly deals, and the game begins.
Taking 10 on everything, for 19 in my bluff, and 18 in my Sense Motive
Aid Another (Bluff): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Aid Another (Sense Motive): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
So, 21 in my Bluff, 20 in my Sense Motive.
Talori remembered an old truism one of her mentors had taught her. The cards don't matter. They're just something to do with your hands while you play the actual game. Your hand doesn't matter. You can turn it into anything you want. It's how you read your opponent that matters.
Talori stares intently at the man's face, seeming to try to read him. Your brain starts to feel slightly fuzzy, as if you've had one too many.
DC 15 Will or take a -4 on your Sense Motive.
Talori adds two silver to the pot, not saying a word.
Prepare for your ass to get whooped! Now to get you slightly inebriated... And cocky. MWAHAHAHAHA!

Therana Silmor |

Therana chuckled to what Merick said.
"And if you're lucky, they won't try to charge you rent for wearing it."
She nodded to his comments. Nice and talkative. So far, so good.
"Heat doesn't bother me as much. I'm from Korvosa. There, it's hot and some days it's like trying to breathe water."
She blinked at the newcomer, looking to Zephir in confusion. Wait, there's a festival?
Her eyes turned back to Merick, even as her hands nervously smoothed out her cloak. Why didn't the merchants say anything? No wonder they didn't find me travelling with them strange!
"Do you know what this festival is for? I admit I wasn't aware of it; my business brings me here for other reasons."

Svalk Arnbjorn |

Not entirely satisfied with the result, he takes the head and attaches it to a wooden handle.
He smiles, and brings it inside.
So who needs a freshly made axe? Not my best work by any means, but it will be better for your defense than your standard pitch fork or pig sticker.
He gives it a few twirls, demonstrating its weight.

Merick the Blue |

Merick tips his mug back as he listens, eyes darting to Zephir for a moment before turning his attention back to the woman who was trying to hide her scars. Like a gentleman, Merick didn't stare, keeping his eyes moving, not locking stares like a madman, but giving a fair amount of eye contact. With a grimace of irritation, he realized his mug was empty. It didn't speak much for a bar when they let your ale run dry. He plunked the pewter down on the counter with a meaningful glance at the bartender. Only then did he turn to his companion.
"I'm from cooler lands, but the sun truly doesn't bother me."
He smirks a bit at the ongoing lesson in Towers at a table. He really dodged a bullet there (or did he?).
"All I know is that it is called the Swallowtail Festival, and that it is unrelated to the opening of the Temple of Desna, I believe. And what business do you engage in, if I might ask?"
His mug newly refilled, he begins round two. He was a large man, after all, and it took quite a bit.

![]() |

Now I'm considering switching out my characters additional 5 stat points and putting it in will instead...can I do that before the actual game starts?
Tryggve paid close attention as Talori began dealing out the cards, quickly realizing that he was out of his league. This woman new the game inside and out, obviously. He was more than likely going to lose, but he would at least have some fun with it...
As he began play, he thought through his moves, glancing back at Talori to try and gleam what she felt.
Bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Svalk Arnbjorn |

Svalk notices that everyone seems to not be interested, talking among themselves. He is a bit put off, and walks to the bar.
I'll give you this axe for a pint of your ale. Might come in handy if some of these other... people get a tad drunk.
He sets the axe on the bartop, handle facing the barkeep, and takes the proferred flask as well as a seat.

Bluff 17
Sense Motive 7
Will Save 6
"I may be a bit scary, but DAMN that's an intimidating poker face!"
Tryggve could not read her at all; but that was to be expected from someone who seemed to do this for a living. He also didn't notice it himself, but he was giving away his hand just by the look on his face.
Lost Silver: 1d6 ⇒ 3
"Well, it can't be helped. You seem like a pro at this, afterall." He handed her his cards. "Let's go another hand, see how this turns out..."
If I won one check, but lost the other...what happens then?

Buzzgob |

Ok. Got the crunch mostly finished! I got a few questions for the GM, that will be soon. My virtue/vice is pride and zeal but considering the amount of others with the exact same combination that might change. Mideas was proud, believing himself to be of a higher existance than those around him, and having rather oppressive expectations of everyone.
Buzzgob is a big-headed, reckless bandit, full of zeal and about as stupid as a rock. Sorry that was mean. Rocks arnt that stupid >_>
Some of the "fun" things i can do for the group is create free telpathy for everyone with me as the hub. You can communicate back and forth to me freely (but sadly not with each other) and i can tell whoever you need that information :)
Im a radio reciever!
Im about as stealthy as a polar bear in a blizard with its eyes closed... And i just realized all my other skills are +8 ^_^
So i got some questions/clarifications/reasonings here :)
1. Feats. I get 2 feats and i was wondering if i could take Spell focus for the telepathy disipline. Basically +1 dc to telepathy spells.
For the other, i am thinking either roll with it or psionic talent. More defense or more pp.
For the story feat i took arisen because it fits the elan angle perfectly despite not having the most usefull effect. I dont have a god or patrion diety, so will need something from you for that :(
2. I took an 18 for int because a 16 int wizard equivelent is rather bad but it made my other stats rather mediocre :( your thoughts?
I still need to select spells, my second disipline talent and some equipment but its almost good to go :)

Talori Lyons |

The hand played out quickly. Talori overbluffed the sap, and she snagged some of his silver when he fled.
The young woman leaned in and said "Hey, I forgot to ask for your name. Mine's Talori, if you're curious." She almost flagged a bartender for some food, but then again, the place probably served nothing but crap. Talori flagged him down anyways, and exchanged two silvers for a massive pile of food: which she devoured in one minute.
Talori then returned her attention to the game.
I believe you lost both, you forgot to factor in my addition from the Aid Another on myself from Profession: Gambler. Also, -4 on your SM for your next turn.
Aid Another (SM): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Aid Another (Bluff): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Again, taking ten on my two main rolls.
Throughout the game, Talori's face remains an impassive mask. She wouldn't seem alive except for the fact that she moved her hands to make the towers.

Therana Silmor |

Therana looked up as a guy walked in and tried to sell an ax. She then nodded hello to him as he approached the bar, turning back to Merick.
"I have to admire that man's audacity. Most likely place to find a customer."
She grinned, just a moment, at what she said. Then her attention turned back to the festival.
"Opening of a temple sounds interesting. Depending on what's under the temple, it may be related to why I'm here." She took a sip of her water a moment as she considered how best to answer the question. "I have an interest in old ruins. A fascination with them, really. I came here to see what happens to be here and if there's anything I can learn beyond what I know."
She sighed a moment and then continued. "But, the ruins are just a personal hobby. At the moment, you could say I am between employments. I may need to remedy that soon."

Svalk Arnbjorn |

Svalk notices the lady talking to the man at the bar. As he sips his ale he overhears about a temple construction and festival.
Excuse me, didn't mean to be nosy, but did you say a festival? How lovely, which town was it? I am on my way to my old home of Sandpoint on personal business, but I would be happy to swing by a festival on my way. Torag knows, I am late enough as it is anyway, no minor stoppage to ply my trade will change that.

![]() |

Jeez now, I had to get used to the dice system quickly, and sap? Ouch. So you roll winnings, correct? Alright then...and yeah, JUST started to understand all your rolls and how screwed I am.
Nodding, he returned the greeting. "Tryggve."
Tapping on the table for another hand, Tryggve tries to go for another round of cards. If he lost this hand, he would quit; he didn't expect to loose as much silver as he did...
Bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (10) - 3 = 7
Will Save to break: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
And that was that.
"Geez," he replied, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "You had me beat from the start. That was just embarrassing..." Even so, he sighed and nodded to Talori. "Still, good game."

Satinder Coric |

Satinder walks in and takes a seat at a table, resting his feet from the trek he had just made to Sandpoint. Looking around the room, he notices all the activity. "Hmm... This place does seem pretty lively tonight, I must say..." he thinks to himself. He runs his hand through his blonde hair with a smile on his face, obviously enjoying the atmosphere that the Rusty Dragon is currently putting off. "May possibly be the festival tomorrow. It has been some time since I've been to the festival. It'll be nice to come back, and get to know the people I've come here to help..."

Talori Lyons |

Added Story Feat: Nemesis to her profile! Talori is up against-even if she doesn't know it yet-the leader of the Scarzni. She threw a wrench in a critical money-laundering deal. If everything didn't go as planned, Guaril would become a hunted man-and now he is. Now, he trains and sends agents to kill that annoying little girl. She gains 2 extra HP per level.

Buzzgob |

About a block away from the pub sat a shadow in a back alley. Hidden from the eyes of the world around sat a small goblin on a barrel having a private conversation with himself.
Well we got out of cage but Buzzgob getting hungry. Why cant Buzzgob scavenge for something to eat?
Just be patient..if we were seen in this town we would be dead on the spot. We managed to escape from the slavers and pinch a couple of coins but what we really need is protection. Im waiting for the right guy to come around.
Then we eat him?
What? NO! Just watch.
Out on the street a large man was passing by when he suddenly stopped and looked around, confused.
Hello. We are in need of your assistance. No, dont look for us, you wont be able to find us. You see, we need protection while we are in this town and we would be willing to pay. 2 gold up front and 3 after. Deal?
Can i eat him now?
No Buzzgob! No, now shut up!
The man agrees and out comes a goblin and pays the man, who promptly goes into the bar and orders a drink...
Following the man closely into the pub is a small green goblin with an oversized head and strange tattoos covering his otherwise scarcely covered body More discription to come. Apon seeing his arival more than a few people are alarmed and a few take up arms, untill the big man in front shouts everyone down
Everyone sit DOWN! Rhis goblin is with me an any o you lot get any funny ideas ye gonna hafta deal wit ME! Now. How about a pint o ale? BARKEEP!!
The goblin just quakes a bit and tries to hide behind the big mans leg. He is unarmed and alone... He isnt too much of threat, is he?

Talori Lyons |

Winnings: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (1, 4) + 10 = 15 +5 from my Profession: Gambler.
Talori orders another mound of food, then excuses her self.
Walking outside, she spots the blind bum from earlier. Talori walks the man around town, buying him some decent clothes, then heads back in and treats him to the pile of food she just ordered.
Talori then walks to the bar and starts hashing out a deal with the owner. Eventually, the young woman secures the blind man a position as bartender-apparently, he was only slightly blind-and walks back to the table, and orders even more food for herself, saving enough money for a room for the night. "Hey, I had to ration out three days worth of food over a week's worth of arduous travel. I have the right to feel a little ravenous," she says in between mouthfuls.
I was under the impression that it could go either way. And, man! I hope that the GM selects both of us for the shenanigans that ensue. And, if Trygvve is part of Scarzni, then he's probably heard a vague, distorted description of the person who screwed the boss over... Though it probably won't connect until the goons come after her.

Satinder Coric |

Watching the commotion occur as the man walked in with the goblin, Satinder's good mood ceased to be and turned sour instantly. Resting his chin into his hand, he gripped one of the daggers on his waist with his other hand. His blue eyes fixated on the small green creature walking through the tavern.

GM Lord of Runes |

Buzzgob, here are my replies before I cash in for the night.
1. Call it Psionic Focus, but yes. Roll With It would be useful. Arisen works well, so why the question? It doesn't have to be a divine miracle in my opinion. In fact, giving the backstory, I would say it was really bad luck!
2. My suggestion? Mind control the biggest, stupidest creature and hide behind it! ;)

Garox |

@Buzzgob. Actually Garox is protecting you, he's more charismatic though ;).
Garox takes the offer, this is how he made his money after all, protecting people who like to drink, take trips around the town and look for whores. He protected weirder people then the goblin.
A striking fellow with a green mohawk and a disarming smile walks before the goblin entering the bar and says:
"Friends, friends, nothing to worry about. It is just one little goblin. I mean he does not even have weapons on him. Not to worry if he tries anything funny I'll knock him out myself and drag him outside of the city. Look at him, he's just shaking in his cute little boots. Barkeep, how about a nice ale for this little gentleman. And since he is under my protection, anyone try to mess with him, you mess with me."

Buzzgob |

now im in the pub :)
This dual voice in your head thing is going to get difficult :(
For claritys sake, the goblin can think and talk, the elan can only think. But when you can comunicate with speech AND thought, it gets difficult to seperate them... Still working on a system.
When the big man (who some of you may know as steve) goes to the counter and orders a starts drinking, the goblin just hides under the counter between his legs, looking out and studying the crowd.
Over time, he starts to pick out different people to try and "think" to.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
And he sees all...
So. First contact.
You feel a little mental probing in your mind, like someone is trying to communicate..
Hello. You seem sharp. I am in need of assistance and protection in this town. My name is Mideas and we were wondering if we could secure your help an..
Hey! Buzzgob found a dead rat! I eats it ok?
And.. An.. Huh? Hey, thats disgusting! Dont eat tha.. Ewww
Mmmmm! Juicy!
@Garox. Sounds good :)

Therana Silmor |

Therana nodded to Svalk. "It's in Sandpoint. There's a temple opening and..."
And then she gets interrupted by a man shouting about a goblin being with him.
Oh, this is going to get interesting...
"I see what you mean by 'plagued by goblins.' But I never expected one to wander in."
She then looks to the man guarding the goblin.
"You shall have no problem from me unless he starts one." Poor goblin looks terrified, anyway. It would be cruel to kick him out.
She notes the woman who had been gambling earlier was now eating, giving the woman a respectful nod before turning back to Marick and Svalk.
"Okay, I have no idea what I was originally talking about..."

Tryggve ordered a meal while Talori was gone; double the size that she had ordered, in fact. As he ate, the large man with the goblin next to him strode into the building, putting the barbarian on edge. Then there was the large man escorting the goblin, bellowing and intimidating several of the folks in the bar.
All it did was annoy Tryggve, who scoffed aloud and returned to his meal. The man was big and burly, true, but that wasn't all it took to be terrifying; the man distinctly lacked the monstrous air that other deadly individuals had. THOSE types of people could silence you with a damn LOOK.
Once Talori returned, Tryggve replied to her comment.
"I'm not judging. It's just curious that you can eat almost as much as I do sometimes...travel a lot?"

Zephir Strombjorn |

When nobody answers him, Zephir sighs loudly and turns back for another drink.
Wait! That woman with the scar! She winked back! Ha.....No she's turning back to her talk with that other man...
Frowning he makes room at the bar for the axe wielding dwarf and walks to a table.
Hmm. A card game. Nooo....Better not. Don't know when my next paycheck is coming. And while I'm certain to do great things, getting rich may not be one of them.
Looking at the table next to him...
"Hey little friend! You might want to eat that stew, its starting to cool off." He says , pointing to the thin layer of congealing fat on the top of JJ's broth.
" Goblin!"He shouts as the small creature strolls in behind the man. Sparks crackle between his fingers as he rises.
Damn. he's closer to my spear than I am. As the man shouts down the patrons in the goblins defense, Zephir returns to his seat.
I could take him. But he seems harmless enough

Yeah... they train so hard you gain the HP? but whatever...
oh the head of the Scarzni in sandpoint is Jubrayl Vhiski in case you wanted to include him in the story.
too much going on right now to keep up and figure things out... I'll just wait for selections then worry about making connections
