On second thought, I'm going to just handwave this bit. There are no scenario rules on the ice block except this:

Jamila’s body must be hacked free from the ice before she can be revived. The immense block requires almost 3 feet of ice be carved out to make a suitable passage to reach Jamila (Hardness 0, 80 HP). Once Jamila’s freed from the ice and brought back to a location with normal temperatures, she quickly regains consciousness.

And that it says the block is suspended by several chains.

Other games I peeked at (where a fight with Bitterbite & Co. was avoided) just allowed the PCs to manually shove the block out of the warehouse (though the map technically doesn't indicate any doors big enough to accommodate a huge-sized block) or allowed them to release it through the hole in the floor with a couple of flying PCs on standby to help steer it to solid ground. Given the setup, I'm guessing these guys normally lower their ice blocks through the hole in the floor to waiting airships, much like Effie suggested - which is what I'll roll with. So, we're approaching the end of the Tyranny of Winds trilogy - yay! Much thanks in particular to Hawthwile, who was willing to replay the entire thing to make the proposed scenario schedule work.

The next scenario on the list is the 5-9 scenario You Only Die Twice. I actually GMed this earlier this year for Outpost so I've basically got it prepped and ready to go aside from doing a quick reread to refresh my memory on some things.

But all that said, are people still feeling good to keep going? I don't have any plans to pull the plug if enough folks are still having fun, but I do like to try and get a feel for how everyone is feeling about the campaign from time to time.

I've been little off, these last weeks, but more about Paizo in general (too much games on the forums) than about this game in particular. You're still in my top 3 GM, Lady L, don't worry. ^^

I don't know, I wasn't "in" that adventure, Hep was more subdued, I wasn't creative as usual. "It's not you, it's me." ;-)

I'm in a few games that are sloggish, so it's hard for me to keep interest in them. Sometimes there is some action, then a few days (or weeks even) off.. I hope than when some of these games end (or I quit them) I will find back some of my mojo.

There are more and more PF2 games on the forums, and I don't enjoy the "new and improved" version of Pathfinder that much. Neither am I a SciFi fan, so no Starfinder for me either.

I'd like to play in a PF1 adventure path, but they are a dying breed. Especially with a group of committed Rpers.

Likewise, I wish I have the time to master a game (still have this gladiatorial game at the back of my mind), but I honestly don't have the time or energy right now.

I didn't knew too much spankings could be a bad thing. ^^

I'm still enjoying this campaign very much.

My overall energy level and time budget have been taking a hits with my kids being sent home from school multiple times for multiple exposures and the hospital being busier overall, but I look forward to this campaign.

As long as you're good, I'm good.

The gimmick described in the store blurb might not be technically possible with a shabti. I do have a few other options if there's not a legal handwave.

Oh, I'm definitely still all in! This is a great group, the Bestest GM Ever(tm), and I'm enjoying RPing Holan-Ji.

FWIW, if there's a scenario you want to run, or that someone in the group requests, and if I've already played it, I'm happy to burn a replay. I've got plenty of replays left, and I seriously doubt that I'll use them all.

Also, for planning purposes, he'll level to 6th after You Only Die Twice.

Glad everyone is still enjoying the campaign!

While I've admittedly been gradually shifting more of my time and interest over to 2e play, I'm still happy to keep GMing here - in large part due to how great you all are as players!

(And I'm not swearing off 1e stuff FOREVAH. Just...being a lot more discerning and selective as to what content I play and who I play it with.)

I also know that things have been sluggish and probably a bit low-energy on my end the last couple of months. We've been short-staffed at work for a while in several departments and we've also been busier, which means my schedule has been in flux more than usual of late (though I'm at least still on night shifts). There's also been home improvement projects (I'm almost done restaining/painting our front porch) on top of the usual errands and other social obligations and plans.

And of course the holidays loom on the horizon.

2e definitely isn't for everyone but so far, I'm enjoying the more simplified combat system. Because I have to be honest, I don't really enjoy 1e's combat much once you start hitting the 10+ level range and I say that as both a player and a GM.

Apologies - work has been smashing me for the last week (before then it was just gentle mashing). I am also very much enjoying this game, but I might propose changing out characters for one where I have a better handle on their personality. I don’t know if it’s been just work stress or not enough prior character development, but it’s been tough to play the Grandfrogger in a way that matches everyone else’s enthusiasm and energy (which I very much want to emulate).

I'm not planning on running an AP, but I do intend to try running my Rokugan campaign over pbp. Existing GM commitments mean this isn't likely before 2023 though. PF1e may be waning, but I am still in 2 rotating GM campaigns, an AP (as a player) as well as this group and a mini-campaign that I am running :D

(If you've not heard of Rokugan before, it's the campaign setting for Legend of the 5 Rings and there's a D&D3.0 "oriental adventures" version, which I update to 3.p)

Updated, finally.

I hope everyone had a good weekend (in general) and a good Halloween (if you care about/celebrate Halloween). Didn't really get up to too much here aside from getting a sexy new sectional delivered Saturday and going to play PFS2e #3-02 The East Hill Haunting with my old local lodge yesterday. Had fun, only took us about 3ish hours, and then we all went out for dinner as is the usual custom after most lodge games. It was really nice to get out of the house for something other than work or errands.

Aside from today, all of this next week and weekend will be busyish - working the next four nights and then I'll be out of town part of Saturday and all of Sunday on a '<LastName> Girl Trip' with my MiL and DH's aunts & female cousins. Monday it's looking like Parison and one of our long-time gaming buddies will be coming up to hang out and play video games (while sitting on the sexy new sectional).

My weekend was upended by American Airlines' meltdown when they canceled almost 20% of their flights. Including my days-off trip to Barbados. Took an extra day and cost me a few hundred bucks extra, but I'm here now on my balcony overlooking where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean Sea. Yeah, first world problems; I'm acutely aware.

Alas, temperatures have dropped here and the days grow ever shorter. Guess I'll have to settle for lazing on the comfy sectional (cat approved!) with a blanket and hot chocolate :)

So... if I'm understanding Subjective Gravity correctly, the best one could achieve is moving a minimum of 300 ft in a straight line over 2 rounds (1 round to start falling, 1 round to stop falling). Correct? There's not way to pick where you want to stop sooner than that (barring colliding with something stable).
