As far as posting in combat goes, I have the same problem as Jesari. I can't exactly post two or three rounds in a row, so I have to wait on the others to get in their round as well. When that happens, I have to depend on timing to let me post more than once.

Outside of combat, however, I don't have those same round/turn order restrictions.

But I guess even out of combat I might end up have the same issues. Because if I get a short break to make a quick post in the morning, then another quick break an hour after that and no one has posted in that window, then I might not get another chance to post until late in the evening. As much as I wish that I could be on the forums all hours of the day, I just can't.

Alright, thank you for letting me know. I can find no easy solution to these problems: these are RL matters, and I place RL before everyhting else, so if your schedule doesn't allow you to post more than once a day, it's not a problem at all from a personal point of view; it's just not enough for me to have fun. I'm very sorry to have to end the campaign: I invested so much time and efforts in it, as you've done too after all. I was having fun, but I've found that 1 post/day truly kills the pace: I'm not able to mentally follow the campaign's progresses and everytime I have to post seems to like I'm writing something completely disjointed from what I've wrote the day before. I think that it would take us something like 6 to 8 years to complete an AP if we go on like this; of course, that amount of time is unacceptable.

I've greatly appreciated your efforts, your roleplay and your characters. This has been my first PbP campaign and I'll never forget it, but in front of real life concerns there's nothing one can do to improve a game.

I hope you all the best in your PbP and RL future folks, it's been a pleasure to share some months of play with each of you.

Alright, maybe there is an actual option to not close this game prematurely.

If combining our posting times we can find an hour or two in which all of us are active and can quickly post (I'm thinking of combat of course, for all the rest 1/day is perfectly acceptable), we could manage to hit the 2 posts/day in combat goal without hurting anyone's real life.

Pardon me if I keep trying to keep this campaign alive, but I love it and I wouldn't like to leave you without a game, not now, not so suddenly. Besides, I would like to finish what we've started. Even if we get only through the 1st module ("Souls for Smuggler's Shiv"), it would be a great achievement, don't you think?

So let's try. Let's begin with our time zones.

Me: GMT+1 (6 hours ahead of Alexite, 8 hours ahead of Kali'da)

Alexite: EST (6 hours behind me)

Jesari: ?

Kali'da: MST (8 hours behind me)

What is your time zone, Jesari?

Furthermore, can you indicate an hour of the day in which you will most likely be online and able to make even a short combat post?

Personally, I'm available at any hour between 09:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. GMT +1. So this means that I'm available in the following time frames:

For Alexite, from 03:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.

For Kali'da, from 01:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.

Well, I'm usually online throughout the day unless I'm out in the field or traveling due to work; once or twice every two weeks is pretty good guess of when that occurs.

Even those days, I can manage a post between 7:00 and 8:00 am and then later at night (after 8:00 or 9:00 pm).

The days I'm in the office I can post from 7:30 am to late at night (11:00 pm).

My posting depends on the day. Part of why I like PbP is because I can't actually commit to hours at a time to just sit in front of my PC on the forums. Especially not every night.

I usually get a few sporadic windows of time through the day (usually short like 15-30mins), and then maybe an hour, two hours max at night that usually happens some time after maybe 11pm and no later than about 1:30am. But that's just a rough window of the time I might be around. But like I said, I can't commit house of time each night to this. if I could do that, it might as well be a live game on Roll20!

Alright, seems like there's no solution then. I've done my best to avoid this campaign from dying folks, but it seems like there's no way out. I'm so sorry for this :(
