Shhh. Statues can't talk.
To quote the old Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy game: 'You keep out of this, you're dead.'
;)
Yes, have a good weekend everyone!

Witch's Charge (Su) - Once per day when preparing spells, a witch can designate a willing creature as her charge. She gains a constant status effect on this creature and can target it with beneficial touch spells from a range of 30 feet. The creature remains her charge until she designates a new one.

I guess there is divine justice of the sorts.
Last weekend I GMed the last dungeon of Hook Mountain Massacre to some friends and the hags managed to trap half the party inside a forcecage :)
GM Euan |
Nidhi, you're totally fine - anyone can talk in the Discussion thread at any time. :)
Kosei Sharif-El-Sadad |
Wow! That's certainly and authentically epic! :D

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but maybe something along the lines of a cockpit with a couple of mummified pilots (wearing Captain's caps)
Please keep your arms and legs inside the pyramid at all times until we have come to a complete stop. On behalf of all the crew, thank you for flying Hakotep Airlines and welcome to Wati.

Lol, that make me laugh.
Also: you have a chicken named Stuffing too?! XD I don't know if that's a coincidence but that's awesome. I had a good chuckle reading the chicken posts.
Florence Corvina |
Nope, not a coincidence - my Stuffing was inspired by yours, or at least the name was. I thiiiiink I'd decided on a chicken prior to this game's first appearance of Stuffing but I could be wrong; the details get fuzzy over time.
At any rate, I'm glad the antics amused you :)

I've been down to three out of four games for a bit now. I keep checking the recruitment thread for APs but no luck yet. Since I'm in two Starfinder games, I think I'd prefer Pathfinder and definitely not Homebrew (unless zombies.) Something pre-planned and designed by Paizo. And I don't want to do a module. :S I'm so picky... Maybe I can't find anything of interest because of the online convention
My local Strange's is giving away 200 tomato plants from Southern VA. Virginia tomatoes are delicious btw. If there's one plant Virginia soil grows really well, it's tomatoes. I highly recommend Hanover tomatoes if you ever get the chance - they're the most tomato-tasting tomato if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm pretty excited for Saturday. I might also pick up a small lemon tree while I'm there. My husband's co-worker has had one for a few years now and it's fruit bearing. The only downside is that he has to move it inside if it gets too cold but the plant doesn't grow that fast. I figure if I can grow potatoes out of a paint bucket it can't be that hard lol

I have no plans for AP's so far, although I keep hearing good things of Ironfang Invasion.
I love tomatoes, I eat them almost everyday, fresh, in salads and specially during summer, they are delicious with a bit of onion slices, olives and olive oil and a bit of salt. If you can plant your own, just do it! During my childhood my father was growing his own tomatoes in our "huerto" (kind of vegetables garden), and they are among the most delicious I have ever eaten. Those ones and a fresh bunch I got to eat in an improvised lunch at Toledo in a restaurant that had its kitchen closed, the nice owner built up a salad from just collected veggies, omfh that was the best salad ever.

Oh my gosh you're making me hungry! It must be time for a snack XD What kind of olives do you eat? Most olives here are pitted and canned... unless you go to a fancy organic store - then they're sealed in a clear plastic bag. Mmmh, and hummus and tzatziki sauce. I'm having a craving!

We had Mediterranean for dinner and apparently when my hubby went to pick it up my stepson was hamming it up with the cashier, talking about school and Pokemon Go. The cashier threw in three slices of baklava for free because she thought Charlie was cute and wow, baklava is sugary sweet! I got my olive and tzatziki fix, haha.

We have all kinds in any neighborhood supermarket, canned, crystal pot or plastic bag. Small or big olives. Black or green. Pitted, pitted with anchovy, pitted with pepper or ¿"with bone"? Some fruit sellers and some supermarkets they have even barrels whit them floating in different flavors water and you serve yourself on demand, dill pickles and pickled onions. It's also usual the bars serve a small dish with them when you order a beer with friends in a terrace.
My father has a couple of olive trees he planted when I was fourteen. They are now giving very small olives but he is still learning to brine them correctly.
I am superfan of olives. I love them in salads, pizzas or just eating them on their own.
If you have a cat, they turn crazy about them. At least mine was turning total crazy by the smell. He got very excited every time and started running everywhere playing with the bone. He would sneak over the table when you are distracted, pick one and run away playing. Quite funny.

Kosei loves baklava, but I am not a big fan I think. Too sweet for my taste! Kids can be charming when they wish :D

Sorry to hear it! I hope things improve. Take care of what you need to take care of, and we'll be here when you return. :)

I hope its something fixable. Best wishes Nidhi!

Okay, of the most recent bit of loot we've acquired there's not really anything Florence can use or has any interest in. The Ring of Stony Flesh is kinda cool since Stoneskin is an awesome buff but given that it's an expendable item we might be better off just selling it if no one wants it.
GM Euan |
It does, sort of. Some of the structures you've been in have been solid, like the last pyramid and much of the sphinx in the deep desert. Some, like the various libraries, were typical stone construction and not so easily moved through.
However, you and Anubis would both need rings (or some other method of earth glide) if you wanted to charge through stone. It is a cool ring though.

Wand of Cure Light Wounds (30 charges)
Wand of Cure Light Wounds x2 (50 charges each)
Scroll of Heal
______________
The above is what Florence has in terms of 'group items' that relate to healing. Zilchus, you had a CMW wand at one point - did we use that one up?
I'm happy to do the split/distribution in such a way as to let Stelle catch up to the rest of the group; Flo bought quite a bit after the last split so I don't think there's anything she personally really needs at this point.
If we're good on what we already have for wands then I'd suggest we get some scrolls of Stone to Flesh and maybe some restoratives like a wand of Lesser Restoration or scrolls of Restoration or both. Maybe another Heal scroll too.
Florence does know the Raise Dead spell but it might not hurt to get some additional means of reviving the dead as a backup.
GM Euan |
Thanks for the list Florence. That said, I think you guys aren't tracking some of your purchases.
I see the following group purchases on the treasure sheet from a while ago:
CLW Wand (750), Scroll Remove Blindness / Deafness (375), Scroll Restoration (800)
But more recently, like during the last divvy I think, you all bought the following:
3*Wand of CLW, Wand of CMW, Scroll of Remove Disease*2, Remove Curse*2, Break Enchantment*2, Heal*2, Remove Blindness/Deafness*2, Resurrection, Raise Dead, Restoration (1k), Restoration (1k)
In theory, someone is carrying all those scrolls and things, unless you just gave it all back to the church. :)
Stone to Flesh scrolls are fine, but remember they require a save or die and only work on one person at a time. Break Enchantment works on groups, and no save (but not guaranteed either). Still, two party members (at least) can cast it already, so you might be set there with two scrolls as backup.
Let me know when you've finalized your list, and let me know how much it'll cost.
Kosei Sharif-El-Sadad |
I am tracking poorly even my own items. I just managed to write down the items Kosei bought before we traveled to the sky pyramid :P
About resurrection, Kosei can cast once a day a reincarnate spell, and he does not have to pay the material costs for it.
I can take one 'heal' and one 'remove disease' scroll. The others, Kosei already has or he cannot cast them.
Florence Corvina |
Whoops, I totally forgot about the *last* round of supplies we bought! Sorry! In that case we should just be good to split the cash and call it a day; I keep forgetting that Stone to Flesh has that save so between the two scrolls of Break Enchantment + me and Nidhi being able to cast it then we'll hopefully be good.
Flo can take the second scroll of Heal (and I checked, the one she already has on her sheet was from prior to that last big supply purchase so now she'll have two).
Barring Zilchus wanting to take one I think Florence is the only one in the group that can cast Remove Blindness/Deafness so she can hold those scrolls as well since it seems like we have 3 of them.
Flo can take the other Remove Disease scroll.
Remove Curse is on the bard and witch spell lists so Nidhi and Flo can each carry one, same for the Break Enchantment scrolls.
Flo can also hold the Resurrection scroll though it's one spell level higher than she can currently cast.
We've got enough CLW wands that I think basically everyone can carry their own if they'd like.
Flo can't cast Restoration so I guess Zilchus gets to hold those?
______________
Does all of the above make sense? I hope it makes sense!

Hi! Is a ring of eloquence something the party would enjoy or you do prefer not having to understand Kosei's chatter?

As a player, I would like to understand Kosei's chatter, totally. It's good in common, and I would assume it's good in terran, but Z can't react to the terran.
Florence Corvina |
Added to Flo's sheet:
PoP (3rd) - Personal Purchase
Scroll of Heal
Scroll of Break Enchantment
Scroll of Remove Blindness/Deafness x3
Scroll of Remove Disease
Scroll of Remove Curse
Scroll of Resurrection
If it's easier for one person to keep track of the wands then Flo can take all those extra healing wands (CLW x4, CMW x1) as well. That's a loooooot of healing wands!
This should leave the rest of the 'supply' divvy as follows:
Zilchus: Scroll of Restoration x3
Nidhi: Scroll of Break Enchantment, Scroll of Remove Curse
Kosei: Scroll of Heal, Scroll of Remove Disease
______________
Hopefully the above works for everyone.
