Wow, is really a city called Sant Petersburg in Florida?
It is also weird to think the name comes from a traditional Spanish religious festivity, and the Florida flag is reminiscent of the old absolute monarchic Spanish flag even us do not longer use (which only the most archaic and retrograde among us raise).
About conversation in flights, I have different experiences, I love when it comes to something interesting, but sometimes someone becomes weigh talking in circles or too much. The more intense the trip, the more extenuated and difficult to maintain conversation.
Yes [Virginia?]. there is a Saint Petersburg in Florida.
Do you y'all mean Juan Ponce de León and some Fountain of Youth?
I don't think Florida is a true representation of Florida at this point. (Joke. Sorta.).
Seriously confused, but mostly about district lines.
Regarding conversation in flights -- haven't experienced any as such recently, but I'm pretty sure that's mostly on me.
Traveling to Dallas this weekend -- by plane. I will be at a conference (and visiting a relative) for the week.
GM Euan, bot as needed.
There's also both a London and a Glasgow located in Kentucky :)
Have a fun and safe trip, Stelle!
I'll actually be out of town myself Monday until sometime Wednesday afternoon. While I should be able to check in at some point Tuesday don't count on seeing much from me Monday since I'm coming off a night shift and leaving pretty much right away.
My posting here is still a little wonky because the PFS Gameday is still happening (but wrapping up soon) and because I've also made the decision to go to night shift on a permanent basis at work. Things should even out in another couple of weeks as I finish several GM games and other player games come to a close.
St Petersburg, Florida is a smaller section of Florida and it isn't the place people generally visit. If someone is going to Florida, they go to Miami, Tampa or Orlando.
I basically live in Richmond, Virginia so it always throws me off when I see another Richmond on the map. Like, no!! I live in Richmond! Richmond should be Virginia not that other state!
Hey guys, I'm leaving on a trip later today and won't be back until Wednesday afternoon. While I'll have my phone with me and might be able to squeeze in an update Tuesday, don't expect much until I get home. As always, feel free to bot Florence as necessary.

Back from my trip! Lots of fun and shopping was had by all :)
Happy Thanksgiving, guys! Or Happy Thursday, if you prefer. Or both, that's cool too :)
Had a great Thanksgiving and I hope everyone else did too that celebrates it!
Anyone excited for/gearing up for Christmas yet? ;)
Hi! Lately Christmas is not anymore what it was for me. It seems increasingly difficult to share time with people outside of the net. People says its an issue of aging, but I am not fully convinced.

I'm not sure if I'm envious or sympathetic, Kosei. D:
I travel A LOT during the holidays. My husband's family is very keen on getting together for just about every occasion. His mom even sends us pound cake on Valentine's Day. (Postage is expensive so it seems pretty silly to me but it's the thought that counts I guess.) Veeeeery different from my family, haha. Actually, my whole life has been getting pretty busy as of late :( I will not be at home for half the month of December due to my husband's family. None of them live in our city. And our friends want to have an additional cookie bake in Dec (asked me 3 days ago to host) and their own holiday party so it feels like nonstop socialization. I get to flip from being surrounded by in-laws and my energetic 8-year-old stepson to a gaggle of friends who have gotten to 'recharge' before being in a house full of friends. (I just want to hide under a pile of blankets and play Let's Go Eevee on my limited edition Diablo 3 Switch! Especially since this Fall semester is finally coming to a close. I have a 10 page paper due in two weeks and then I'm freeeeeee!! This semester has been busy (idk if it shows in my posts or not.) Speaking of school, this Spring semester will be the toughest to date for my Master's program. I'll be taking two classes and part-time teaching. My expected graduation is May 2020 so only a year-ish left
I still really enjoy play-by-post. There have been other fun games I've been playing - Pathfinder Kingmaker, Let's Go Eevee, My Time At Portia... This is my holiday fantasy

I can kinda-sorta relate to Kosei. There aren't as many family gatherings to go as before since all of my grandparents are gone now and I usually miss either Christmas Eve with my father-in-law's bunch or Christmas Day with my mother-in-law's bunch due to work. Since my parents have to work around my schedule, my husband's, and my brother's, we just have to do our meal + gift opening whatever night in December everyone happens to be free. Of course I also have no children and I'm told that Christmas is usually more fun as an adult when you've got kids (or grandkids).
But, my mom loves Christmas and we had a good time on our annual shopping trip we took a couple of weeks ago. We might go out and hit the local stores one more time before Christmas. Some of my friends are having their annual holiday party on the 29th so hopefully I can finagle the evening off work to go, because it's always a fun time. My work schedule just recently changed and now I work 3 12 hour night shifts each week instead of 4 10 hour shifts. This is good because it's one less day of driving to and from work (about an hour & 1/2 round trip) and it's an extra day free each week to get things done. I actually just had four days in a row off and it's been literal years since I've had four days off in a row without having to take vacation time or requested absence (and not get paid). It was awesome. I rested up, got a lot of cleaning done around the place, actually got to hang out with my brother and some PFS lodge peeps one evening, visited my parents, and went to dinner + movie with my husband.
(By the way, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was quite enjoyable.)
My forum activity has slowed somewhat since several of my games (GM & player) have wrapped up and I'm hoping to take it easy over the holidays - which means not adding any additional games! I'm hoping I can use some of the extra time to catch up on my huge backlog of console/PC games I've yet to play, because though I still love PbP, I kinda miss mah video games!
Shopping with your mom sounds really nice. You work in the health field, right? I can't imagine the crazy schedule. I wouldn't be able to do it I don't think.
Ahh, I saw Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald too! :D I really enjoyed it. I hope it does well so they'll keep it going for at least one more film. I love trilogies.
Ah! Fantastic Beasts! I am planning for it next Wednesday, the first part was quite interesting. I might have gone past Wednesday, but this week it was the cinema time for Superlopez a Spanish parody after your Superman, based on some parody comic series I was very fond of when I was a kid and a teenager.
This weekend my sister came to Barcelona with my two nephews so I cannot complain. But I somehow was used to four or five family gatherings with extended family included, I agree with Florence, since my grandparents passed those large family gatherings are not happening again. My complain is though more to do with friends, once they started having kids their time shortened considerably and it seems impossible to gather everybody into the same meeting.
The rest of the week will be fairly complicated for me for what posting concerns.
Please bot Kosei as it better fits. Unless something else is needed that he can deliver, he will mainly use the lightning versus the scorpion or/and heal as needed.
Things should come back to normal by next week.
Got back from the annual family cookie bake yesterday. On Saturday night they were calling for 3 to 5 inches of snow starting at 10am and then when we woke up at 8:30AM it was already snowing and they changed their prediction to 5 to 8 inches. So we got in the car and drove for 4 hours (a distance that normally only take 2.5 hours) About halfway home we started seeing snow stick and for the last quarter we had to be careful. The sandwich place we stopped at on the way home was closing due to snow at 2pm so we felt pretty lucky. Didn't go the the grocery store because it's always a mad house during inclement weather. Before bed I stuck a ruler into the snow and it measured 11 inches. Schools will probably be closed for the week. It's not supposed to snow anymore but the temperature is solidly in the 30's.
Cookie bake we really fun though! I tried my hand at making Nutella Stuffed Double Chocolate Chip cookies *this is the recipe* but they turned out looking like little turds :( We all had a good laugh about it and everyone said they tasted okay even though they didn't look very visually appealing. I also made Chocolate Crinkle Cookies *here* and they came out looking exactly like the pictures.
Still lots to discuss/do in the gameplay thread, so don't hesitate to post.
In the meantime...
I do believe you should now be level 13.

Sunday, Erastus 19, 4714
- The party rises late, having gone to bed very late, but ready to face new challenges.
- They start by checking a passed door, and find a scrying pool, but of limited use so far.
- Zilchus holes a constructed wall, much younger than the native walls of the sphinx, and the party heads into the mud room.
- The secret door in the floor eludes them, but three tiles they must find to open it. Heading first south, they discover a paladin…
- Her name is Lady Sophronia, eldest of Mastabat el-Fara'un, Ibn Shepseskaf, of the fifth house of Userkaf, in the Saqqara clan
- She teaches the party a bit about the cult of Areshkagal and her fight against them. She also outlines most of the sprawling complex.
- They dispose of some spectres and find another scrying device, this time watching a leader of some sort.
- A shadowy demon is encountered and bested as the party continues on.
- The last of the forgotten pharaoh cultists is found doing some side research, and bested - though she nearly flees successfully.
- An annoyingly difficult door (and golem guardian) is bypassed, as the party heads back to begin their assault on another cult - Areshkagal.
- After besting a couple birds and a most annoying skeleton of some kind who leaves curses in his wake (poor Kosei and Stelle!) they proceed west
- Three demonic birds are killed, though the party really only fights one, as Florence manages to get the other two to fight each other.
- They collect some unusual armors before investigating a lightning wall, beyond which lies a temple and meditation chamber for the high priests.
- Avoiding it for now, they turn east where they face a nasty zombie lord and summoned babau demon - though a glabrezu demon joins in the fun!
- A tough fight with Stelle and others barely on their feet at the end, though the party is victorious.
- …just one more room they think as they head east to investigate the main altar where they encounter a maftet most insane.
- Besting her, but learning nothing of her riddle, they return to the Lady Sophronia who finished the cultist in a most bloodthirsty way silencing her forever.
Moonday, Erastus 20, 4714
- The party wakes late, tired from the days activities and heads deeper into the complex.
- They best a trio of maftet - one already injured by Lady Sophronia - and head down the Hall of Honor.
- Finding little of value among the glass ornaments (but one gem) they move to the far door whereupon they meet the leader of this tribe.
- Killing everything they can reach, though the shadow seems to get away at least for now, they look around the room and loot the bodies.
- Moving upstairs at last, they battle, briefly, a frightened scorpion who died blind and glittery on the end of Stelle’s lance after the group piled on.
- They find Chisisek’s sarcophagus and move it to Lady Spophronia for protection and chat with her briefly before preparing to descend.
- Kosei makes a bridge of stone as Nidhi places the three tiles in the correct order to open the secret panel in the floor.
- Dolphin-Kosei discovers a mummified dire crocodile in the pond, and Allosaurus-Kosei erupts from his stomach as the party slaughters it.
- No sooner does the crocodile fall, than the female half-fiend divine guardian gynosphinx appears - Kiling Zilchus in a few short seconds!!
- She does not last much longer however, as the party piles on - slaying the cultist of Areshkagal. Stelle makes extra sure she’s truly dead.
- The powers bestowed by Lady Sophronia fade, suggesting that the last of the cultists has been overwhelmed.

I won't lie, my desire for PbP has been pretty low the last couple of days due to work and being focused on holiday stuff but I'll try and get Florence leveled over the next day or two. I'm also working tonight and tomorrow night and will likely be incommunicado a good portion of Christmas Day.
Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention, you should talk amongst yourselves to make sure someone puts a point or two in Profession Sailor for the ship. As I mentioned previously, most of the DCs are in the 10-15 range, so no one needs to really devote much to it.
Also, the Sashimono of Comfort the party purchased will work on the ship or boat.
+6 HP (4 + 2 Con)
+7 Skill Points (Diplomacy, Fly, Heal, Kn. Planes, Kn. Religion, Perception, Spellcraft)
+2 BG Skill Points (Kn. History, Prof: Herbalist)
+1 4th Level Spell Cast/Day
Gained: 7th Level Spell Casting (1/Day)
Gained Feat: Extra Hex - Evil Eye
FCB: +1 Spell in Familiar
Spells Gained: Chain Lightning (7th), Fairy Ring Retreat (7th), Raise Dead (6th)
*edit* Flo can take a rank or two in Profession: Sailor if need be, but I kinda figured that one of the others might find that doing so would suit them better :)
I'm pleased to say that I'd like to have Zilchus come back, if possible (and I think it is). I had thought to go, or bring someone else in, or accept Kosei's generous offer of reincarnation, but I think I'd like Zilchus to be Zilchus if possible and if that's okay with everyone.
Poor guy never had a chance and I wonder how this experience will change him.
^That's fine with me! It's your character so definitely your decision as to how you want things to play out :)
I am in the same boat as Flo with the holidays. We drank a lot Friday night and watched Diehard. Really great holiday movie. ...So, I don't know if you've done this, but we cut out paper Santa hats ad dangled them over the screen and each time a hat matches up to an actor's head you drink. It was really hilarious (and even even funnier while inebriated, obviously.) We've also done mustaches in the past. Saturday was our friend group's "Secret Satan" (Secret Santa) - we just all it that to be funny. So after getting pancakes from iHop after a late night of drinking we hung out at ate lots of holiday food and exchanged gifts. I got some special hand towels (which I asked for on Elfster) and this adorable stuffed hamster. I love rodents. Mice, rats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters... Then today was the Holiday Chaos draft with only a $15 entry for $20 packs but some people got $30 packs because it was random. My husband went 3-0. Took like 45 minutes to drive to the store because it's one of the farther ones but it was worth it. I've eaten sooooo much junk this past week. And this coming weekend we're going to my in-laws (so more rich/dense food.) I feel like a total potato, but a busy potato. OooooOooooH!!! And they added holiday special episodes on Netflix. I've been distracted.
Nidhi is willing to contribute anything Zilchus needs to resurrect. She firmly believes that she owes him a life debt after the zombie crocs
Last level September 18, 2018.

Grit: not yet
Panache: nah, more like painintheass

Woo, I hope everyone had a great holiday. I think I'm finally over the worst of my (figurative) holiday hangover and ready to ease back into regular posting again :)
I'm with my in-laws until the new year. Man, sometimes it's impossible to sleep in with a kid in the house. (My stepson is 8.) Doesn't help that my hubby's mom lives in a one story - living room is on the other side of the bedroom wall haha
Today is "Christmas Day" for us since we delayed for family. Opening presents, etc
Happy New Year! :)
Feat Great Fortitude
Special feature Guide across Lifetimes
2x Linguistics (Gnoll and Draconic)
Remember bards can use Profession rolls even if not trained, thanks to jack of all trades. That would include sailor, so maybe Nidhi can do it without extra allocating ranks on the skill.
Sure, but she won't be very good at it without a point or two (and the +3 bonus that most classes will provide). In a perfect world, a take-10 will net a 15 and you won't have to roll in most cases to just have it 'just work'.
I'm trying to make sure the party isn't stuck in the middle of the desert unable to make significant headway. But it is entirely up to the group of course. You can also sell the boat after this trip, and go back to camels and the wand of endure elements. There may be some camels still at Chisisek's tomb if you spend a day or two rounding them up again and want to avoid the ship entirely.
There's more desert travel ahead, and you can approach it however you please.

Since we've not really come to any other conclusion or consensus, I'll adjust a couple of Flo's newest skill points and funnel them into Prof: Sailor. Two ranks + the class skill bonus will give her a +5 and allow for the whole Taking 10 thing on basic checks that GM Euan mentioned.
So now that's taken care of and we've got someone who can navigate the boat.
From the treasure sheet...if no one else wants stuff...
Still waiting to see what is going to happen with Nidhi's primary bow now that the swarmbow has arrived, but he might also take the +2 composite shortbow (line 207). He will sell his crappy +1 longbow.
He has never wanted the Scarab of Mummy Defense (line 213), please sell.
Zilchus will claim the potion of fly (line 264).
He will use 1000 gp in diamond dust (line 302) to cast restoration on himself this week, and next.
Let's see...Flo will for sure claim (assuming we haven't already sold them):
Scroll of Waves of Fatigue
Scroll of Stone to Flesh
One of the Cloaks of Resistance +2
I'll scan through again later when I've got more time and see if there's anything else she'd want to hold on to. She'll also take the Type 2 Bag of Holding if no one else wants to wrangle it.
(Remind me, how do we tell if we've already sold something?)
BAB same as level 12
No new special abilities at level 13
Bluff +3, Diplomacy, Disable Device, Perception, Perform BACKGROUND, Sense Motive, Slight of Hand BACKGROUND
5th-Level Spell - Cure Light Wounds, Mass (Flo can cast Heroism, Greater)
Aaaah! Nidhi's Net Worth is the highest in the party! Seems to be the trend since the mask. :S Please use Nidhi's old bow if it's useful. I still have all the stats of it on Nidhi's character page for reference.
Nidhi, what has you so far ahead is the belt really though it's true the Mask doesn't help.
The Belt of Physical Might (Dex/Con +6) is worth a whopping 90,000gp. That's more than the net worth of Kosei, Florence, and Stelle - and half your own. It's also double the value of the mask. I suggested selling it, but the party wanted to keep it at the time. Let me know if that has changed.
Also, please take a look at the sheet. As no one has said they want anything, I've moved more to the 'sell' pile. I think there's some useful stuff in there, but if no one wants it, to the sale pile it goes!
I made a post above Nidhi's claiming some stuff and also asking a question.
Ahhh! Thanks for pointing that out - I totally missed it!
If it's already sold it has 'Party Divvy' next to it. Items that are available currently are marked in yellow 'To Sell', or unmarked completely. All that is in the Location column of course.
I've noted those items as yours, though you already had previously claimed the scroll waves of fatigue I think.
Sorry for missing your post the first time.
No worries! I know I said this earlier but I'll try and give the list one more good look as soon as I can; currently out and about though so it won't be until laterrrrr~
OMG, I totally forgot about the belt!! I never even added it to Nidhi's inventory on her profile. Nidhi should get her old belt that she purchased a while back and someone else should have the 90k belt /or party sells it
I am ok with the selling of all the items marked in the spreadsheet. I would save though the potions and most scrolls (Kosei can use the Scroll of mass bear’s endurance one), and the haste wand.
The bag of holding is needed, if no one else wants to carry it, Kosei would do, but I guess he is regarded as the less reliable member right now.
The jade and diamond dust should be of use for casters.
Also if no one else needs it, Kosei would keep the ring of protection +2 (and give his +1 for the group).
I do think we can get little thing better than the belt for the selling prize. Don't be shy to keep it Nidhi.
Okay, forgot that the Cloak of Resistance +2 won't stack with Flo's Witching Gown so I'll put that one back into the sell pile. But the Ring of Protection +1 she actually really could use.
Also there's a bunch of clerical scrolls she's been packing around from back in the day when I thought I'd be UMDing stuff so I'll drop them back into the sell pile too.
Scroll of Effortless Armor
Scroll of Magic Weapon
Scroll of Sound Burst
Scroll of Warding Weapon
All back to the sell pile.
Florence considers the stranger for a moment and then calls out over her shoulder, "Hey Nidhi, I know you were asking about a well-muscled woman but a well-muscled man works too, right?"
