Hey guys I won't be able to post today, please bot me as needed.
GM Euan |
I used to... a lot. Now I'm online exclusively. I find it means more role play, though I do miss the personal interactions at times. :)
Prof. Benedictus Dickens |
Quick update: the structure where I'm staying is experiencing some web issues and internet access is completely unavailable at the moment. They said they will fix the issue between today and tomorrow. Fingers crossed...

Hey guys, I'm glad to announce that I'm finally back! Sorry for my prolonged absence, it did not depend on me unfortunately. Expect a post from me within the day, and from tomorrow on, I will start posting with at my usual rate.

I'm sorry about my posting.
GM Euan |
My brother is a middle school teacher and ran into some of what you're talking about - lots of illnesses as all the kids various bugs got into his system. Took him a while to ride it out, but he did, and now his immune system beats off all comers. Mostly. :)
So get well, take care of yourself, and I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry you've had such a crummy year for illness, Nidhi. I don't work with children specifically but I do work in healthcare and we're rapidly approaching the time of year where flu and strep throat start rearing their ugly heads - everywhere really, but especially among kids and the elderly. I've already seen some positive strep tests on school-aged children in the past week or two and I'm sure it's only going to get worse. Oddly enough though, we *didn't* see much of a spike in kids getting sick when school started about a month ago and normally we do.
Here's hoping you feel better soon!

Hey guys, could we swap the loot tracker for the current book? I am, and I will be in Paris for the whole duration of the year, and my rythms here are quite different from those I had at home, in Italy. Could anyone please take over the loot tracking duties for the moment?

I'm really awful at this, plus I generally post from my phone.

Side note: In the game I'm running, I've removed loot. I give some measure of WBL (in the game: straight WBL, but it could be different, like WB(L-1) or 80% of WBL). The only things I do not count are special AP items, which are the only things we keep track of. The rest is in the hands of each individual player.

Thanks Nidhi. Please PM me your gmail address again, I seem to have misplaced it. I'll get you access to the doc.
Thanks!
EDIT: I've brought the treasure sheet up to date, so you'll just need to worry about it going forward. Ping me in chat when you want a tutorial about how it works. It's not too hard to maintain - most of the time seems to be spent looking up values of magic items. :)

OMGosh Ben, I'm in love with this song. I kinda wish I'd taken French instead of Spanish, lol.
Prof. Benedictus Dickens |
Eh, oui, le français c'est une langue vraiment belle. Mais je n'aime pas la musique française :D
As a side note, I'm posting, sorry for the delay.
Nidhi Aashirya |
Why don't you like French music? What do you like to listen to Ben? Specific bands? Musicians?
Only two options, Florence?! Maybe I was lucky? We had Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Latin in high school. In middle school we had all of those except Japanese. I wish they taught kids a second language starting in elementary school.
GM Euan |
I have a long history of failing languages. I did poorly with a Spanish tutor as a child, then failed French, Spanish, German, and a bit of Russian in high school and college. Well I got a 'D' in German to be fair.
I did learn Sanskrit though, and could do a fairly good translation of the Bhagavad Gita. Of course I've slept since then, and forgotten almost all I knew. :) I can't even translate the alphabet anymore.
Florence Corvina |
It might be, depending on where you went to school Nidhi. I grew up in a small town so that probably explains the limited options; people I know who went to bigger schools or lived in more metropolitan areas usually had more options.
I enjoyed German, though I don't remember much of it now except certain phrases and words.

I think we've kind of been unofficially recruited to help the Pharasmooks (or at least Ptemenib) out while they try to get a handle on what's going on and what might be causing all this trouble...or maybe where it's coming from, or both. Right now it sounds like trying to get back inside the Necropolis would be a challenge with all the undead piling up right at the gate (and I'd assume all along the walls).

One of my friends just came back from a work trip in California and she brought back the most delicious (and cutest) macarons I've ever had! It's this place called Honey & Butter. They have these Nutella ones (which are amazing) and they even make ones in the shape of animals.

Just to clarify. Do we need two disks to reduce the trips from 3 to 2, or to avoid carrying a wagon?
GM Euan |
Assuming the party is going with Cahal, and requesting no wagon, you'll need two disks, and three trips.
If others are willing to pull the wagon, one disk reduces the trips to two total.
