Your putting corn before us? Next you'll tell us your marriage and family comes first. I SEE WHERE YOUR PRIORITIES LIE!
On a related note, I will be traveling for work 9/15 - 10/2, and then attending a wedding 10/5 - 10/10. I will likely be available to post intermittently.

Hey, hey, Rissi is right! What's da deal, brah? Bros before Ears! I mean we fight and claw over 6 books & 16 levels only to be waylaid by corn! Corn!
I'm going to boil and butter some of those bastards right now.

Seems you turned a deaf ear to Seal GM and now he's popped. Perhaps if you were more forthcoming with this kernel of truth, he wouldn't have to stalk your project. Shucks, it's amaizing he didn't become a lifeless husk waiting.
Corn.
:P
Incidentally, I'll be out of town 9/16-9/18, but compared to others, that really isn't too big of a problem right now :P
Lucian Arvandru |
Since we're at the "silly corn excuse" stage ;) , here's mine: I'm moving tomorrow! I've just finished packing the last box, exhausted but relieved.
Connectivity should be shaky in the next couple of days as a consequence.
EndlessForms |
Hahaha! Those were much better puns than the simple "corny" or "a-maize-ing" ones that most people use.
But at least it sounds like a few of you are busy right now so the game will resume either this weekend or Monday at the latest. Hopefully things will be back to normal next week, although I might be traveling some time around Sept 25-29 to plant our Florida winter field.
Hidetsugu Rissi |
Pfft. In the modern world, is anyone ever not busy? Technology is synonymous with optimal, and maximal, time utilization.
Lucian Arvandru |
Apologies for the lack of posting for the past two days, I've moved into a new apartment and my ISP still hasn't restored my connexion. I'll do my best to post from my phone in the meantime, but if I need to be botted, please do so. Sorry about the inconvenience!

So, we have resources that we can call upon, if we care too:
Prayer beads, a scroll of planar ally, staff of shadows. I don't want to steal anyone's thunder but having some additional support might be nice.
Anything else that we might see fit to use now while we have the time to prepare?
Lucian Arvandru |
I actually hoped to rest before we faced Karzoug. Perhaps we could go on and deal with his other servants and withdraw before facing him, depending on the circumstances. He sounds like a formidable opponent so perhaps it would be best if we were more fit to face him?

I am currently at suitable strength, but I know our intrepid casters always do better with all spell slots available! I'm indifferent, assuming the GM doesn't have a reason why we cannot rest in here.
Lucian Arvandru |
So, we have resources that we can call upon, if we care too:
Prayer beads(...)
Actually, this has reminded me that I used the Bead of Summons but our beloved GM didn't describe the outcome. Is it considered unspent, then? Or is Desna's messenger coming?
Sealman Alerteyes |
I guess the big things are going to be debuffing a magic user. The additional allies will help with crowd control. I'll take on those NPCs since everybody is already running a cohort or two.
Need to be able to get out of crazy stuff that immobilizes/entraps heroes. I remember running a high level end game, and taking heroes out of the combat was the worst thing that happened.
But man, a swarm of shadows. That would suck. Just Str damage you to nothing.
EndlessForms |
Ok, I'm back a day early from my trip.
Sorry Lucian! I must have completely missed that Bead of Summons. Consider it unspent since I missed it before but if you want to use now, go for it.
I'll warn you that you're not about to leap on Karzoug just yet but you're very, very close....
I'll get you guys updated a bit later today. Family will be visiting this weekend but I'll put you guys on Priority 1 to keep you moving until the end.
Lucian Arvandru |
Since the summoned creature will help for a whole day (24 hours), I'll use it now. If we decide to rest later, it'll still be here anyway.
Lithrac |
As a side note, I'll be GMing #7-25 Orders from the Gate, a level 5-9 scenario that we'll play at subtier 8-9. Feel free to join the closed recruitment if you have a character in that range and are interested in playing this one! Link to discussion thread
Miana, Champion of Irori |
I appreciate the offer, but I have played it once already.
EndlessForms |
I'm obviously too busy to take on any more games right now. Thanks for the offer though!
Lucian Arvandru |
Agreed! Let's rest. Then we can use our rune forged weapons to disrupt this wall of force.

[ooc]Going to be out of town from Oct 29 - Nov 5th. Kick butt without me![/ooc
Sealman Alerteyes |
Hmmm.
If Rissi continues to be AWOL, we may need to hold up after this encounter.
Does anybody have any word on Rissi/Targaroa? He's been away for 10 days without notice. I sent him a PM without response on Tuesday.
I would hate to get to the end game and continue on without him.
EndlessForms |
I'm not sure about Rissi either. After we finish this encounter we'll be heading into the final confrontation so I am fine waiting for everyone to be available so no one misses out.
Of course, I will be traveling again in mid-November but if we're in the middle of the final fight I'll make an effort to post no matter what, especially since I've had a couple games finish and my PbP load is a little more manageable now.
EndlessForms |
Ok, why don't you guys do whatever prep you want to do before the final fight and later this week I'll post the opening scene. I won't bot Rissi or put her on hold so we'll just wait.
Sealman Alerteyes |
Seal doesn't have much besides casting lead blades on Isoult & Great Axe and using the Prism to cast Enlarge Person. He'll take a Shield of Faith. Otherwise all the other communal spells already cast seem fine.
Lucian Arvandru |
Lucian will cast the following spells: true Seeing (himself), summon monster VI (Lilend azata), blessing of fervor. He'll gladly cast freedom of movement on the whole party, as well as shield of faith for those who want it, as well as true seeing.
Of course he'll cast the round-based duration spells last.
Evanya can cast bear's endurance on whomever wants it (from her wand).
As for the Ghaele Azata, it'll cast greater invisibility on himself (sadly he can't cast it on anyone else).
Lastly, he keeps his scroll of antimagic field in hand.
To sum up:
Active effects from Lucian
Party Mass Fly, Mass Owl's Wisdom, Good Hope, Freedom of Movement, Blessing of Fervor, (Bear's Endurance), (Shield of Faith), (True Seeing)
For the spells between brackets, please say if you want it or not.
Rissi Shield Other
Lucian Gentle Repose, Glamered Armor (permanent); Shield Other (Rissi), Moment of Prescience +16 (16 hours); Tongues (160 minutes), Extended Shield of Faith (+4), Extended Ironskin (+7), Extended Freedom of Movement (32 minutes), Spell Resistance 28 (16 minutes), False Life (14 hp, 5 hours), True Seeing, Summon Monster VI (Lilend Azata, 16 rounds)
Miana, Champion of Irori |
Back!
I'll take a True Seeing and Shield of Faith, Lucian :)
For myself, I'll be using Barkskin again. That'll put my AC to the bracketed levels noted in my profile.
EndlessForms |
I was going to set up the final combat but I'm leaving for Florida again tomorrow morning and won't be back until Wednesday so I don't see any reason to jump into it tonight. When (if) I get back on Wednesday, I will try to get things rolling. I want to make sure I have enough time to set it up properly and make the final fight satisfying for everyone.
EndlessForms |
I just sent a PM to Rissi, as she won initiative. If Rissi hasn't posted in a day or two, someone please bot her.
Moving forward, I'll wait to hear back on whether we should wait or just bot Rissi for the whole fight. I'd rather not do that but we've also been stalling and moving slow for the past couple months (partly my fault) and I'd like to wrap this up eventually so we need to keep moving or we'll never finish. Still, I don't mind the final fight moving a little slower to accommodate people if needed.
Lucian Arvandru |
I'm perfectly fine waiting for Rissi within a reasonable timeframe (days/a couple of weeks, but not months).
Miana, Champion of Irori |
Yeah, I'm ok taking it slower if Rissi needs the time as long as there's consistent progress.
EndlessForms |
I'm fine with that if that's the consensus; my only concern is that Rissi haven't posted since Oct 19 (and Oct 12 in the Gameplay) and even after others have PM'd in the intervening month we still haven't gotten any posts. So I'll hold on for a bit, but I think the chances of Rissi rejoining us are not great.
Sealman Alerteyes |
It appears Amazing Red has been in touch with him in real life. But nothing has come up as this time.
How does after Thanksgiving sound? Typically life slows down enough for him to chime in at least. If nothing after Thanksgiving weekend, full steam ahead.
Until then, I'll take up the mantle of Rissi. Miana, would you mind picking up Kufieno? Lucian already has his hand full with a few cohorts.
I'll post for Rissi here in a day or two. I have a major order I want to process by the weekend. I also want to thoroughly review Rissi's sheet & spells. I need to see what dailies she has going and what buffs may have been issued before the final battle.
Sound good?
EndlessForms |
Yeah, Seal's plan sounds good. I'll be traveling next week for Thanksgiving but I should have time to update.
Miana, Champion of Irori |
Update later tonight!

Feel free to decide Rissi's action. Your being teleported with us could potentially end this fight.
Lucian Arvandru |
What a breathtaking finish! This was one of the most epic fights I've ever been in - one I really felt could go awfully wrong if we messed up just one single decision. Congratulations, everyone! *group hug*
A heartfelt thanks to EF for holding on to this amazing campaign and player group until the end, despite playtimes variating highly for a vast majority of us throughout the campaign. I'm sad that Rissi (and to a lesser extent because he was missing for a lot longer, Kufieno) couldn't take part in this last confrontation, though.
On the matter of the PFS sheet, could you issue it to 76446-1 / Kynrac / Grand Lodge, please? There's no hurry obviously.
Miana, Champion of Irori |
Yeah, my PFS info for this chronicle:
43025-1/Koraq/Sovereign Court
Sealman Alerteyes |
Whoo-woo! We rock! Awesome job everybody! I wonder if we are going to get the original "Yub-Nub" Return of the Jedi ending or the peace across space choir singing one...
It was a shame that some of us didn't make it to the finish line, but I'm glad we were able to finish this adventure path. High 5's all around.
Mike, thanks alot for running this for us and putting up with our shortcomings.
If you guys want an unpainted mini of your character (either I can find or if you know of one in mind) email me your mailing address and I'll send it out to you in the New Year. Yes, even to the European because Lucian was a rockstar!
Mike, I have a little something for you too if you want it. Just give me a mailing address =v)
15767-1 I guess.
Be on the look out for a Call of Cthulhu game I maybe be running here in the next couple of weeks.
Lucian Arvandru |
Merry Christmas! I hope the holidays are much enjoyed by everyone.
I've been thinking the past few days how our group was really awesome and that I would like to keep on playing with you. I also thought about these high-level chronicle sheet we are getting, and the fact that we don't really get to play our characters past level 13. I'd really like to play my elven oracle to whom I've attached the last three RotRL chronicles. He's currently 15.2, and won't benefit from the sixth RotRL sheet until he levels up. Do you have level 13+ characters that would be in the same situation?
So here's my proposal. I'd like to find a kind GM to run AP#41 "The Thousand Fangs Below" (part 5 of Serpent's Skull) for all of us who would like to take part in that adventure. In return, I'd love to GM a module/AP chapter/scenario of that GM's choosing - a kind of trade in a way.
Why "The Thousand Fangs Below"? Firstly, it's level 13-15, so it would allow us to play characters that are freshly out of EotT/All for Immortality, while still allowing my level 15 oracle to join. Secondly, it has been sanctioned for PFS very recently, so there's a high chance none of use have played it for credit already. Finally, I think it's a great adventure for Pathfinder Society Seekers, because its goal is to...
Provided that there is interest in that project, we'd have the core of a group we could fill with interested people we know well (and love to play with.
Any thoughts?
If you'd like to be part of this adventure, let me know!
If you'd like to GM this adventure and have me GM a module/AP chapter/series of PFS scenarii in return, let me know!
Miana, Champion of Irori |
@Seal: That sounds awesome :D I'll trust your judgment on the figure, but that is really cool of you :)
@Lucian: I could GM that scenario in a month or so, once a Thornkeep game I am running is finished. I won't have time before that. Sadly, I don't have a character in that level range for the time being.
