Believe it or not, it is custom in dwarven cultures to give farm animals to one's children for their birthday. When Sealman was 14, he received a sheep. Seal named his birthday sheep Catorce. Oh the adventures Seal and Catorce had together. The two of them were the best of friends.

Then one night, there was ruckus in the barn. The animals began to cry out, beah and bleep. Mama, Papa and little Seal Alerteyes rushed out to see what was causing the commotion. When they reached the barn, they found the bodies of their farm animals bent and broken. But no sign of Catorce. Sealman went outside and looked out on the horizon. Their under the pale moon light and giant figure lumbered away with a sheep slung on its shoulder. From this distance, the young dwarf though he heard his Catorce call out his name, "Seal, Seal, Seal"

From that day on, Sealman swore to hunt down every giant in the land to find his beloved Catorce. This was 30 years ago* . . .
