Laughing Touch:
Laughing Touch (Sp): At 1st level, you can cause a creature to burst out laughing for 1 round as a melee touch attack. A laughing creature can only take a move action but can defend itself normally. Once a creature has been affected by laughing touch, it is immune to its effects for 24 hours. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier. This is a mind-affecting effect.

Nephisous makes an error in his swing but Havok's card strikes true again! Krux then gives the alchemist a touch of the giggles-quite inappropriate for the setting and his demeanor, to be sure-but then George finishes the man off!

The party then quickly swarms over the cobra and takes it down without too much of a problem.

gear:
potions of cure moderate wounds (2), wand of acid arrow (12 charges), acid flask (2), alchemist's fire (2), smokestick, tanglefoot bag, studded leather, arcanolembic with one of the potions of cure moderate wounds, mwk dagger, iron key

In addition to his gear, there are a few other valuables inthe room. His alchemical setup is worth 500 gp if carefully transported. Under the bed is a small chest with his formula book, a bag filled with 154 gp, 55 sp, and 82 cp, and a single dose of unguent of timelessness.

arcanolembic:

Aura moderate transmutation; CL 10th
Slot none; Price 5,000 gp; Weight 2 lbs.

This glass flask looks similar to the alembics used by alchemists to distill various liquids, but this one is framed in a delicate silver brace and the glass is etched with various arcane runes. When used to create an alchemical object, the arcanolembic allows the creator to double her progress for 1 day’s work (although this does not affect the cost or the price of the components of the object). In addition, when used to brew a potion, the arcanolembic reduces the time needed to create the potion by 25%. Finally, the arcanolembic can be used to hold one potion. When a creature consumes a potion from the arcanolembic, the potion is treated as if the caster level were 2 higher than the usual minimum for a potion of its level. Placing a potion into the arcanolembic is a full-round action. While holding a potion, the arcanolembic cannot be used for any other purpose.

Krux, you should use that wand of acid arrow; free use of a level 2 spell you wouldn't get access to for a while :)

Krux uses minor magic to fill the room with a lavender aroma.

Feel free to retcon healings.

Opposite a bench in the center of this room are a pair of stone statues set into alcoves, each one looking like a vaguely humanoid collection of gears and blocks. Unlike the other statues in this place, these appear to be mostly intact. Each statue has a hole in its chest, roughly the size an apple.

DC 18 KN (arcana):
These are actually animated objects, but they are unfinished. Clearly something needs to be placed in the holes in their chests to activate them. You may or may not have missed that before. It's not of any consequence though and won't affect your rewards in any way.

I was going to bring that up, but it is a silly thing (and really hard to do it in an order that actually lets you use the "reward" for anything significant.

"Huh, these things look like they might work still... need somethin' in them tho' to get 'em useable.", pointing to the empty slot in the strange statue.

Roscoe suggests the party head west and you find another room. It looks as if some years ago something broke loose and tore apart this ancient workshop before ripping a hole in the eastern wall. Broken tools and implements appear to have pulled from the ruined remnants of this chamber and sorted into various piles.

As you enter, another statue (similar to the ones you saw in the previous room), rises from the pile of broken tools to attack you! Clearly someone was able to animate this one!

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Krux recognizes the statue as an animated object. They typically have hardness. And although spell/elemental damage usually still has to overcome hardness, I have been ruling that acid would eat through stone and giving you full damage. Other elements probably would have hardness applied though.

Though there are no functioning items left in this room, there are raw materials and items suitable for repurposing. The various cogs, gears, and tools in this room are worth a total of 1,000 gp, though the whole lot weighs more than 500 pounds.

To the northeast of this room there is a crumbling cavern that looks like it was made by some sort of drilling device that tore through the surrounding stone. A large pool of stagnant water fills part of the cavern, fed by a rivulet that runs from the ceiling. Thick sheets of webbing hang from the roof of the cave.

There would be a spider and a spider swarm here to finish things off but I think you guys would easily crush them (also swarms are annoying) so I am fine calling it successfully completed! And as long as you guys go out the way you came in no one will walk through the hallway of traps.

I'll get chronicle sheets out tonight when I get home! Thanks for playing, everyone!
