Krysta let the man have his key and nodded to acknowledge his thanks as she said, "You're welcome." She then blushed deeply when asked if she was the "amethyst dragon lady" and managed to stammer out, "I-i-i think so? I haven't met another yet."

After rejoining the group

Krysta returned to where everyone was gathered and listened to what was being said. She didn't know much, or well anything about raising kids, but she thought that Zaidel was probably right about it. It wasn't her place to butt in though, so she kept her peace.

When the Mithril Shirt was offered to anyone who wanted it Krysta's attention was caught by the offering. While she preferred the freedom not wearing armor granted her, and her bracers gave her some protection, further protection would not be amiss. Krysta saw the carriage appear and went to Mia and said, "Um, I may not wear armor much, but I think I could use the mithril shirt if no one else wants it."

"I also have several dungeon keys! How much time do we have until the Mandrake Grove of Greed is ready?" He asks.

He also offers, "There are other quests about. The ones in town are not much, mostly like the village of Beginnings. It might be good for the newbies. What level are you now? Then we could go back into the woods and find pick a few quests. I saw one that was collecting berries. Rare berries for potions, making them taste better. There is an EXP reward."

”I like The Spire. It's iconic. As far as I know it's the only fortress that can travel from place to place. And the words,'The Spire', invoke awe and fear into your enemies”, Zaidel explains, as he gets into the carriage. Downtime Priorities:
Priority 1. Zaidel presents himself before Cayden Cailean. The cleric will perform whatever deeds to do or oaths to be made, so Zaidel can fully unlock the abilities of Chausible of The Fateweaver .

Priority 2. Ideally, Zaidel will likely need 4 days to complete all 4 rituals outlined in the Blue Book, allowing him to also fully unlock Blue Magic, as much as he can.

Priority 3. Zaidel would like to visit with Queen Mia and Angelica in The Spire. Much time has passes since Mia took ownership of The Spire. And when Zaidel and Mia met before his leaving to travel to The Golden Glades, Mia said she was going to research and uncover as much as the paladin can learn about the The Spire's functions and abilities.

Priority 4. The satyr wants to visit with the Locke Family who now live in The Spire. Zaidel is very keen on being 'the cool uncle' to Arthur and his siblings.

Priority 5. Zaidel wants to return to Owl Port, so he and Jean can clear the vampires out of their lordly homes, and start their roles as Knights of Owl Port.

When the question of levels and what to do came up Krysta said, "I am level four now and I am willing to go questing more but it sounds like we need something stronger than town quests now." Ok, so I finally realized where the info for the loot boxes is listed... XD but can I get some clarification on what happens if you roll above 75? It says reroll, but ignore over 75 for reroll. If you roll say: 77, you reroll twice and get 500 g? So if the rerolls are 23 and 33, you get both a cat and piece of jewelry as well as the 500 g? And what if your rerolls are 93 and 100? Do you get the gp values added to the tally? You reroll twice again until you get numbers lower than 76? Or you simply ignore the rolls and get no additional bonus?

Your first example is right.
If you rerolled for a 93 and 100, then you would need to reroll again. Keep rerollong as needed.

On the way to The Spire she asks, "Does anyone still need the ritual for stabilized and safer wishes? It is a 24 hour ritual. Ramie? The Chosen of Cayden Cailean will need to do it but with his presence I believe we can all do it at the same time." After the 2nd day everyone should be making one wish per day.

During the ritual she makes sure your wish is coming from your diety. Your first wish is to create a focus item. Jellena chose a ring... the ring which is the basis for the rings she handed out. The 1nd thing is you need to determine the cost. For Jellena it is to soak the ring in life blood every day. She has to kill something everyday. At The Spire he helps and makes sure your character sheet is adjusted correctly to have his power.

His Chosen Wish: To be able to replicate any wished ability another Chosen has. His limit of abilities he can copy is based off his Charisma score and Level, whichever is lower.

The rest of you need to take half of that and round down. So for most of you it will be your level making it so you can only take 2 or 3 abilities.
So you gain the ability to replicate and choose 2 more.

Before the Chausible Ritual of The Fateweaver, Zaidel kneels down and bows with reverence to The Accidental God. The satyr understands he will be making himself into a more powerful servant to is deity, and mentally plans to take his change very seriously.

Krysta listened as everyone talked about wishes and the stabilizing of them. She hadn't done much with the wishes yet, she was more than a little nervous about it given how the stories of wishes always seemed to end, and so she focused on the answer to Ramie's question with rapt attention.

So far we have not found any of them, but that seems to be the long term goal. I have a theory that the big evils are other Chosen. You come in, get massive power, and eventually if you are not careful you go big bad. I like being a dragon, but I have resisted changing to much beyond that in case I go big bad and destroy a city or something."

"To be precise you 'used' a wish to become Sublime which is your only template. I am offering you the ability to take on my ability and two more. So you then can be a Kitsume and one more ability. I would suggest Alia's x5 bonus on boost points. It makes it so you earn 15 boost points for every daily quest accomplished. Though if you want a wish a day which might even be more important, take Jellena's ability. There are connections needed to make otherwise you are dealing with wild or chaos magic. So if you accept this then you have to choose x5 boost points, a wish a day, or something else."

Ramie's eyes goggle slightly at this theory. "Well that's a headcannon if ever I heard one. Is there evidence to support that theory?" She asks.

The thought of fighting other, former, Chosen who went bad was more than a little worrying for Krysta. She wasn't sure just what this meant but she decided to follow the rule of Great Power brings Great Responsibility! It seemed that Krysta needed to come up with additional wishes now, she would need to put her mind to it as she listened to the conversation.

A bit confused he grabs his face before asking, "The group gets a x2 multiplier because that is what Alia's bonus is for the group. You can copy her Chosen wish to get x5. There is no curses involved here or the wish spell.

Whereas my Chosen wish can confer to the group my ability.
If you copy Jellena's Chosen wish then you will gain the ability to make a wish per day but at some cost to yourself somehow. Does that clear up what I am talking about?"

No one appears to be interested in taking him up on going out for a hunt. So he takes a child of his each day.

All of his random boxes seem to be just mundane items. But he does gain 60 boost points.

On the second day he goes on a jog with Jellena, that night at dinner he brings several books to the table. They literally glow with magic the large thick tomes or manuals. "These are for the group to use. Each of the six books have a plus five enhancement on them. Once you have used them Jellena has offered to recharge them for us. I didn't ask how but somehow she has a time machine or something." Who takes which book the first 'week', a total of 48 hours over a minimum of 6 days.

"With these books I suggest we stay here for 18 days. Get the newbies up to our strength to a degree. Then pick a quest! Which could even be to return home."

There was much to consider on these wishes it seemed but fortunately Jellena was able to give her some more concrete guidance on safe ones. They would at least let her get through some days as she thought of other ideas for wishes later on.

When the books were brought out and explained Krysta looked at them with great interest. These were going to be a huge boost for all of them and she was kind of excited to get started! There was too much going on for her to really respond to it all just yet, so Krysta began drawing and working on pages for her next story while the discussion continued.

Zaidel smiles as he slides the adornment down the base of one of his horns. A strange sensation overcomes the caydenite. It's like he was a spider on a very taught mesh net and someone just pulled the mesh and released it. Zaidel shakes visibily, almost staggering. ”WHOA! I got it! ..I'm okay.”

An emotional satyr clung to Cayden Cailean's shoulder, then reached in to a hug. ”I'm not gonna let you down, Boss. I swear. I know can actively improve the lives of those around me!”
”Thank you, Cayden!” Zaidel turns to the oracle next. ”Thank you Jellena for sharing your ability! Thank you, Matthew! And thank you all for coming to witness for me!” Zaidel flashes a teary smile to the other assembled members of Aeria Gloris.

Wiping his tears, Zaidel stepped to the side to watch other gathered party members take The Fateweaver Oath. The bardic cleric quietly sets the mossy disk ioun stone to orbit his head.

Afterward, Zaidel eats with the party members and their families. After dinner, Zaidel gets to his assigned room in The Spire, thanks to Queen Mia. It's a large room, with a nice large bed. ”Oh, My Queen knows me well”, the satyr said to himself. Zaidels gets ready for bed, then lays down. Before sleep, Zaidel fills his Tankard of the Drunken Hero with dwarven ale and places it on the nightstand. The cleric then stares up at the ceiling and opens his Green Screen menu, which has become an evening ritual unto itself.

”Man”, Zaidel says to himself as he looks over his options. ”I can't wait to access 7d6 channeling. There so many good feat that open up then.” Still slightly overwhelmed by the Fateweaver ritual, Zaidel closes the Green Screen.
Sitting up in bed, Zaidel pulls off his Fateweaver adornment and watches it sink to the bottom of the tankard. Then the caydenite slowly chugged the dwarven ale, making sure his teeth caught the adornment so he didn't accidentally swallow it. ”Okay, Gods” Zaidel burped. ”My second wish as Fateweaver should be relatively easy and simple. I wish my summon intstrument bardic spell will now allow me to summon electric instruments from Earth, and have them powered by magic!”
Zaidel felt the energy of the wish, and smiled. ”Can't wait for tomorrow.”

After the proposed four-day Blue Magic rituals, Zaidel blinked often; clearly worn out. "Well, I finally got everything I could out of the Blue Book", the satyr sighed. "So, Matt? The tomes you brought us, how do they work? Is it more intense study? Could I partake in their study before our little va-ca is over?"

If we can use the free time to gain bonus from Matthew's tomes, I say let's do it to the best of our ability. Other plans will likely wait.

Well, I'm gonna chart this all out for Zaidel.

"Ah! I see! It's not as intense of study as I thought", Zaidel begins to realize. "Well, Matt, if it's okay. I'll start with the Manual of Gainful Exercise +5".

DAY 6
Zaidel begins his day with doing his Daily Quest as always. Then he spends the rest of the morning until after mid-day reading the magical tome. After his studying, Zaidel visits Aurora's room. Both Familia members catch up on their lives. ”I want to let you know, that if you are still game, I still want to sit for you on those two purposed paintings we talked about. Do you happen to have the materials you would need? I was thinking I could open my New Faces Portal to your Dad's temple, so you can pick up what you need.”

Now that he's staying in The Spire, Zaidel will put on a short concert every night before bed, as a means to practice his Perform skills. Zaidel always encourages Ramie to join him or cede the practice time for the kitsume if she wants it.

If anyone reads this book, which takes a total of 48 hours over a minimum of 6 days, he gains an inherent +5 bonus to his Charisma score. Once the book is read, the magic disappears from the pages and it becomes a normal book.

Also this is where you start your adventure:

Your life flashes before your eyes as your life is cut short before it should have ended. Then you find yourself in a black room with no light source but it seems you are glowing as you are able to see yourself and the chair you sit in. It doesn’t even seem there is a floor, walls, or a ceiling, more like a black void. Please spoil your response as each of these will be unique to each player.

After a few moments a gorgeous glowing girl appears before you and says in a disinterested voice, "Ah another life cut short before experiencing a full life. Welcome to the afterlife. You are in fact dead." She waits a few moments to let it sink in before touching up her hair and continuing in a prideful way, "I am Alethia, a goddess that guides humans who die young to the afterlife."

Getting a bit serious she gives you your options, "Now you have two choices before you. You may ascend to heaven, to tell you the truth heaven isn't the dreamy place you all imagine it to be. The dull place is full of spirits, you don't even have a physical body anymore so you can't do anything sexual, either. Just basking in the sun and working."
"Or go to a new world one of adventure, action, and like the world that you came from. This world has been invaded by dark forces that continue to spread and decimate the population of the world. You get to go with your body and memories intact. You will get to bring one great ability with you as well, a weapon of great power, a supreme ability, or even an ally of some sort."
"There will be many opportunities to change as you wish." She spins and a flurry of cards come from her hands and land before you as suggestions. After a few moments she says annoyed, "Hurry up and choose.... you know that I have a lot of dead people to offer this choice too as well."

As you state what you want, she smiles at you and gleefully says, "You have chosen well and for that the habitants of Arcanium will know you as a Chosen. May you prosper and do well in Arcanium! Should you find and destroy any of the 13 dark souls you will be granted a wish. Also closing any portals to other worlds will gain you another wish to make Arcanium safe once more. Good luck and may your travels be blessed."

So going with my background for the character as a troubled student I am going to go with a Trap Breaker Alchemist. Sick and bullied kid turns to science and occasional B&E. Sorcerer might make more sense for a Dragon, but alchemy is magic still, and it looks like we are going to be heavy on sorcerers. This way we will have a rogue-y guy and I can go front line tank once I get some scales on. :D

I will get a write up that expounds on all of this background hopefully tomorrow.

Otto takes in the sudden shift in his reality I didn't think I got THAT drunk last night after seeing Alethia approach and hearing her say that he had died Otto raises and hand and softly murmurs "May I have a moment?" but is swiftly ushered forward as it seems that time is of the essence.

As she is listing off the two options Otto thinks to himself Wow, I guess the Abrahamic religions weren't too far off on half of the afterlife, though that second option seems a far cry from hell.

after a moment he replies "I'll take the second option, get another chance to make it I suppose!" he ponders a moment well looking through the cards he finds one that shows a throat spouting forward light. he picks it up and continues "I suppose this one lets you communicate effectively? could it let me speak to those who otherwise wouldn't be able to speak?" Hoping for always active Tounges speak with plants and animals and maybe speak to dead.

Zaidel is. And is not. A satyr.

Allow me to explain, GM Wolf.
Jean, when I was asked to make a wish, I wished to become a satyr. But Wolf knew having a CR 4 satyr start in a campaign would throw off the balance. So what GM Wolf did was reduce the monster into a template. It's all in the Satyr* Template tab on my profile page. Taking this template gave Zaidel many of the abilities and racial bonuses of a satyr without the fantastically bump in ability scores. If you were to compare Zaidel to a standard satyr, you would find the standard satyr is much more stronger, more agile and more heartier than Zaidel; while Zaidel is smarter, wiser, and more charismatic than a standard satyr (much to woe the NPCs of Arcanium).

Jean listens to her and shakes slightly at the understanding that he lost his fight with cancer and died. When asked if he wanted another chance he blinks and nods and says, "I am not ready for the afterlife. I would like to try again."

When the goddess tells him that he would be granted a single boon to aid him in the new life he says, "I am tired of being weak and sickly. I wish I was a dragon. Strong and healthy and powerful enough to stop the bullies that have been tormenting me."

I have not forgotten the will save on the Gameplay board, but I was building my character and then realized the dragon race had already happened so I am waiting to see what that does to me.

So my goal is not to just be super powered. I have just been watching recruitment for a while now for a game that I could play a true dragon and jumped at the chance. Although, my stats are pretty laughable so I am not sure that being insane is a huge threat at the moment. But I am concerned 6 hit dice might be too much. If I don't have to be evil, a white Wyrmling is CR 2 and that would make me super happy and might be much more in line with what you were thinking for the wishes. And being tiny until I at least get the next wish has some early drawbacks. I am also guessing that I do not get a class level with the hit dice?

Yes six HD is massive, that is why I suggested half dragon. So we could have you be a true bronze dragon using the half dragon template and give you a few more bonuses mostly including the abilities we talked about before.

We could go with the white wyrmling if you want or make something else work. What do you want? I had a half fiend have a good alignment, so you not being evil and a white dragon will be fine.

Hey other players would you be fine with a very young bronze dragon playing with you or would that be too overpowered?

I think the White wyrmling would be the easiest fit, or use the white wyrmling stats and call it bronze with maybe a change to energy type. Its only CR 2 and with my stats I am not going to be doing anything too crazy. The Breath Weapon Cone is 15 ft so it puts me into danger to use my big trick.

Do I still have a class level as a dragon or just the creatures HD? I
am good either way, I just wanted to confirm.

Yes six HD is massive, that is why I suggested half dragon. So we could have you be a true bronze dragon using the half dragon template and give you a few more bonuses mostly including the abilities we talked about before.

We could go with the white wyrmling if you want or make something else work. What do you want? I had a half fiend have a good alignment, so you not being evil and a white dragon will be fine.

Let me be SO super clear: I love other people's overpowered ideas, because it's the best possible validation for MINE. LOL - like if we allow for that? #DAMN, than Jacen wants to be a ghaele eladrin ... but I would want everyone to be either balanced to the same level, or happy where they are, or possibly both. Because the alternative generally isn't all that fun.

"Take the bullets Smaug, we'll help you carry stuff" or "Hey sit this one out Smaug, we can get a few goblins"

Just need the resulting party to be fun, NOT overshadowed
(and yeah, the dragon pulling its punches is the same as the party being overshadowed)

Half celestial as a wish works great, the Goddess nods to Leo and with a touch he is transformed into a half celestial and Sir Drystan is born. She then specifies, "As you pick fire as your ability you will need to pick a major and minor ability." With a wave of her hand some of the cards come to hover before his face. The following are the suggestions:

Major: fireball, burning hands, magma spit, lava splash
Minor: Spark, light, disrupt undead,

*Scorching Ray, that is.
**Something that scales like the Elemental bloodline's 3rd level power or the Flame Mystery's Molten Skin ability would be great. But I'd take just a flat value too, of course. Either way, I'd probably use the human paladin's favored class bonus to boost resistances further.

Response to the Afterlife:
"Well, crap," Jon said, considering. Death was supposed to be the big end. A final sleep. A wonderful dream, maybe? Or perhaps nothing, which would be fine too. Either way, he hadn't expected to be recruited. Sure, he'd been a little rough around the edges, but mostly good.

On the other hand...there had been his family. A chance to go back, and see them again, even for a moment. Enough time to say goodbye to the kids. Even another heartbeat. It would be worth any amount of pain, hardship and misery. And if he could do it in a way that helped others that would be just a sweet, sweet cherry on top of the bakewell.

"OK. So. I can either go full Isekai and start an exciting new life in a new world, and maybe get a chance to see my wife and kids again, or I can just die. Yeah, I'll go with the whole 'new life' choice and see if I can get myself back home. Thanks for making me one of the, uh, Chosen was it?" The tall human scratched his beard. "I think that name might already be in use by some badguys in a book series I read. Maybe we should of rebranding?"

After she replies, hopefully in the positive, he fully ponders everything she said. As he does so, he admires her beauty openly. Then something she said struck him as odd. "Wait a sec. If we have no physical bodies in heaven, how are we supposed to do any work?" He asks, eyeing her suspiciously.

Either of your minor choices is fine but you have to pick which one. I would wave the 3rd level requirement so you have access to that one.

Otto you are all in the same town at the same time. You might see a dragon over at the large building or someone apparating even before you.
