Well. How would we know if any one of these guys follow us? I say we go straight past the alter and see if thats the reason this goblin was like this. If not we should observe some of the broken areas, who knows what the actual normal paths could hold. Then again who knows with the broken paths ether.

"By dat smell, of course!" Pondering Cortica's reasoning, he shakes his head. "Still don't think diving straight through's the smart choice. Still prefer we finish one side or anotha and clear this out in an orderly fashioned over spearheadin' and getting ourselves in a nasty pickle." Turning to the others, he adds, "Anyone else got a hand for this game?"

It would seem we have reached an impasse. I suggest we settle this quick so that we do not draw even more attention to ourselves. Neph takes decisive action and opens the eastern door! The chamber ahead appears to still be in use, its floors have recently been swept, and its three tables appear to be organized and well kept. Arranged across the tables are numerous strange alchemical devices, some of which are suspended over low-burning flames and emit pale ribbons of smoke. Others simply bubble and boil of their own volition.

Working together you easily take down the goblins!

Out of combat!

They each carried 2 potions of cure light wounds, an acid flask, 2 alchemist's fires, mwk studded leather, and mwk short swords. In addition, you find three potions in the room: a potion of bull's strength, potion of cure moderate wounds, and a potion of invisibility.

"No objections from me. Three goblins ... and we have three frontline melee companions. Each should take the CLW potions. We can pass out the acid and fire to our backline casters. I could use the strength potion. Maybe a toss for the invisibility and CMW between Krux and Havoc?"

"Left works for me."

Cortica leads the way to the next room up and finds that part of the chamber is in total ruin. The western half of the room appears to have mostly collapsed, though jagged opening peer into a dark cavern further on, the other part connecting back to the room where you fought the alchemically-altered goblin. The east half of the chamber is filled with small chests and barrels. Most are coveredin dust, but some appear to have been recently disturbed.

While much of what remains in here is worthless or broken, there are several items of note. One of the small chests has capacity for 20 vials of liquid, but now only 4 vials of alchemist's fire remain. A similar chest holds 6 vials of acid. Finally, inside a large chest lies a small coffer containing a bag filled with diamond dust worth 500 gp.

Cortica will hold still. Take out two of the potions to my understanding theres 6 as 2(the amount each had) x 3(the amount of goblins) = 6. and drink her share from the vague agreement. If nothing still happens then she'll cast detect magic. Again, if nothing happens and she see's no magic then she will walk even further into the chamber.

I'm assuming that they are caster level 1 potions? or are they higher?

Cortica will wish to go to the more paved path so she'll signal every one to head that way.
The tunnel definitely links up here. My belief is that they're headed to the same area... It's up to you guys where to go though I favor the paved area honestly.

Cortica leads the way north. This chamber might have once been some sort of study, but it has fallen into ruin. The entire northeast corner of the chamber has collapsed, apparently because of some sort of drilling machine that emerged from the southwest corner and is now half-buried under the rubble to the northeast. The debris-choked tunnel from which it emerged connects to the same one you saw before. Wooden doors lie to the west.

As you enter the room, however, the rubble begins to shift and move, revealing a raging earth elemental within!

Round 1 Mounted
Roscoe will retrieve and throw a tanglefoot bag ...
Range Touch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Tanglefoot Bag:
A tanglefoot bag is a small sack filled with tar, resin, and other sticky substances. When you throw a tanglefoot bag at a creature (as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 10 feet), the bag comes apart and goo bursts out, entangling the target and then becoming tough and resilient upon exposure to air. An entangled creature takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity and must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be glued to the floor, unable to move. Even on a successful save, it can move only at half speed. Huge or larger creatures are unaffected by a tanglefoot bag. A flying creature is not stuck to the floor, but it must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be unable to fly (assuming it uses its wings to fly) and fall to the ground. A tanglefoot bag does not function underwater.

A creature that is glued to the floor (or unable to fly) can break free by making a DC 17 Strength check or by dealing 15 points of damage to the goo with a slashing weapon. A creature trying to scrape goo off itself, or another creature assisting, does not need to make an attack roll; hitting the goo is automatic, after which the creature that hit makes a damage roll to see how much of the goo was scraped off. Once free, the creature can move (including flying) at half speed. If the entangled creature attempts to cast a spell, it must make a concentration check with a DC of 15 + the spell's level or be unable to cast the spell. The goo becomes brittle and fragile after 2d4 rounds, cracking apart and losing its effectiveness. An application of universal solvent to a stuck creature dissolves the alchemical goo immediately.
