GM Doom 'n Gloom |

Okay, we have 6 of 7 checked in. It looks like I will be out of town for the start of Gameday part 2. So, unfortunately, I won't be able to start until Tuesday the 10th. I apologize for the inconvenience. That said, I think this will go at a pretty good clip and I do not for see any issues finishing on time.

You'll notice a link under the GM's name called MotFF, for Master of the Fallen Fortress. That will take you to the map, and commonly, GMs you find here will use Google Slides for the maps, just like Doom did.
We each put a copy of our avatar from these boards on the map and that will be used like a miniature would be if played locally face to face.
Some people will use arrows from Google Slides to mark specific paths of movement on a turn, and that can be helpful when dealing with traps or other triggered effects, like AoOs from reach.
I hope that helps.

Ah, cool. I didn't notice that link before. Thanks!

Yeah, Seattle Xfinity here... grr. For some reason I punish myself by loading this site on my phone

4. Selfi

I'm putting Selfi 4th because Dolgarth has better armor, and she Hob and Iladora are all slow moving and so collectively they should probably take up front three positions until they are damaged enough that they have to move back. Selfi could move to the back as the rearguard as well.
Thoughts?

I put Hob second, as he knows Dogarth has much better vision and perception in general. He is exceptionally protective of his group, but cares nothing for glory or foolishly rushing in to places where he can't see.

I'll go first, as discussed because Dolgarth is slow and has good senses and AC. He soaks up the first few attacks and then his friends murder everyone seems a perfectly viable strategy.

Maybe the bard at the back, and the slightly squisher wizard at the five spot? That gives the Wiz the opportunity to jump out in front when he needs to deliver a short range attack spell, and then let everyone else close in around him after it has gone off.

Makes sense. I have a Ray of Enfeeblement prepared if we run into a power brute. That’s ranged touch.
I agree to the 5-spot

I'm ok with this. Iladora is a switch-hitter (as demonstrated (poorly) in my last post), decent AC but not great, so middle-front is fine.

If the trap is touch triggered then it's stationary AC (base 5) modified by the size of the touch mechanism (per your description/discretion, unless the module has a specification for this). However, that's still assuming that part of our determination even included the trigger.

"Creatures that succeed on a Perception check detect a trap before it is triggered. The DC of this check depends on the trap itself. Success generally indicates that the creature has detected the mechanism that activates the trap, such as a pressure plate, odd gears attached to a door handle, and the like. Beating this check by 5 or more also gives some indication of what the trap is designed to do." Taken from here.
I assume that we only scored high enough on the perception roll to know where and what kind of trigger we are dealing with, but not enough to know what the trap does. So what kind of trigger is it, or more specifically, what is the trigger?

GM Doom 'n Gloom |

We are getting close to wrapping up. Can I get everyone to roll for their boon? If you roll a 19 or 20, be certain to roll an additional 1d4.

![]() |

Boon plz: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Sigh.

GM Doom 'n Gloom |

I'll wait a day or two for Arindel to roll.

GM Doom 'n Gloom |

Arindel ~ Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 20 random: 1d4 ⇒ 3
GM ~ Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Congratz Arindel! I will pass this on to the powers that be.

It figures that in the end my weapons were more effective than my spells :/ Crossbow early on and dagger at the end.

Thanks for the game GM! Great job everyone, this was a good team.
