Before we start:
I want new PFS players, not a new "character" from already seasoned PFS vets. 2 reasons for this: The first is that I am new to running PFS (They don't have one in my area, so I basically just woke up one day and wanted to start one - as I watched all the campaigns I gm go slowly to hell with work pressures hitting my gaming group), and want to build up my experience with PFS rules adjustments, etc even when I'm not going through sessions IRL...
Also, I think PFS is a really good thing, and I'd like to bring some people into it that miss gaming, but don't feel like they can make a 2 year every other week commitment to a real life campaign.
PFS was much funner than I thought it was going to be. I can only imagine how fun it would be when the table isn't in a 4 hr time crunch to get it done.
Just an interest check, will update with more info if enough are interested/curious.

Deane, I think that would be fine.
I am planning on running the "first steps" intro series. I ran the first intro last night.
I'd want 3 more players, I think - if any of my currnet players aren't interested, that is.
I run a "rise of the runelords" pbp, so you can get an idea of how I run from that, and also an idea of how a pbp works if you haven't seen them in action.

I'd be interested in playing a PFS via PbP, is that allowed? I have never played PFS before, though I'm not new to organized play, being a veteran of LC and LG. When are you looking to start?
It is allowed. They encourage playing, no matter how you are able.
I just need to be able to sign things when all is said and done, and get them back to you all, so we would probably have to exchange emails, as there is a paperwork side of things.

So, it seems like most my group wants to do it also, so I might be running 2 groups.
Aren't you all so spoiled?
I am going to wait for them to decide officially who all wants to play to know how many I am going to take, and I might mix a few of you into that group if they all don't play, and probably do this one here, too.
All of you aren't in, of course - yet. You have to do your homework :)
First thing is first: Download, Read, and re-read the FREE PLAYER'S GUIDE HERE. That is step #1. This is the setting of PFS, and the adjusted rules. If it still sounds fun, then get a player set up and get a player number HERE (follow the links to the right on the sidebar).
I will be picking the players by tuesday the 22nd, and we'll get started by Friday the 25th.

PFS #6919-2
Thanks for running two groups...you'll have absolutely no shortage of players to choose from!

I have a concept or two in mind...
Now, just for the sake of being clear here (because the book does not say so explicitly), those 'other' humanoid races that are listed in The Inner Sea World Guide (ISWG)(such as Drow, Duergar, Tengu, Tieflings, etc), are they actually playable races in PFS games? Because that PFS Guide suggests we can use them, but there are not complete race entry pages for each of the races within the ISWG.

About 3/4 of the way down the list of the Additional Resouces page the allowed material from Inner Sea World Guide is listed. It doesn't look like those races are allowed...

THose races *are* available to play, but they are prizes they give away in conventions and such. They are something that you have to have an authorized number for to unlock. When you get the authorization they also give you rules about how to play it.
It is normal core races.

I would love to join a PFS PbP game. Never played PFS and only have tried Pathfinder a few times on another PbP site but both of those games died a quick death, usually from players or GMs dropping. I will get my PFS number and character generated later today.
I have a fair amount of PbP experience just not with PFS or Pathfinder.

Ok seems you can't edit posts...so here is a double post (hate doing those)
Got my PFS # - 52408
and here is my proposed character: Bander Reese.
Hope he catches your interest. Not your "typical" witch character and I am hoping he has a lot of Role playing potential.
