I'm not familiar with the details of period firearms; would Lucretia's shotgun shoot sparks from the barrel when discharged?

Many apologies. I didn't abandon this game. Flooded at work due to company-wide computer virus. Will post soon.

"This place is quieter 'n a scared snitch, innit? Anyone still 'ere?"

I'm back. Apologies for the extended absence. I had a ton of work stuff to redo. I would like to continue with those willing and able.

"Present 'n able, sir."

I will be gone until Monday morning, teaching kids how to fish.

Out of the vines, bursts what appears to be an animated tree/vine creature with arms ending in sharp wooden claws. His face, an angry and demonic humanoid culmination. At about eight feet tall, it seems fairly agile for a tree.

Re-reading the gameplay action to get my bearings and discovered the part above which I've bolded - I missed this the first time around. Gave me a chuckle.

Also, I'd worked out this currency conversion some time ago and hid it away in Edgar's profile. For more detailed information on the insanity of pre-decimal British coinage click here!

£1 (pound) = 10gp, 1s (shilling) = 1/2gp, 1p (pence/penny) = 1/24gp

@George Fitzroy, perhaps in my hiatus, you have forgotten to level up. George should be level 3.

Thank you for this.

No problem :)

I believe I did! How embarassing :(

It seems I prepared a sheet, but was holding off copying it across.
Should all be good now.
Am I right in remembering George asked for a pistol as his reward and got it (plus a few bonus rounds)

Yes. He did receive the pistol.

Excellent. How many rounds did he get? Just need to know how much to husband resources.

"Right." Stone steps back from the cellar door, then charges forward and kicks it open, ready for an attack from within.

If nothing immediately attacks...

Edgar relaxes his stance somewhat, picking up Reagan's lantern and cautiously heading through the doorway. "Whoever's bringin' up the rear best carry that," he says, jerking his thumb towards any flammable liquids the staff has managed to provide.

I will be traveling from tomorrow night through Sunday night and am unlikely to post during this time; please bot me as needed.

No problem. Have fun. I will be linking a map of the cellar today to make easier to investigate that part of the adventure.

Sorry for the delay, the obligations during Independence day were long. I will get that map up today.

Apologies. I am preparing for a camping trip. I have a lot planned out for this campaign, but I will be gone until July 30. I would like to continue after yhat, but I do understand if you lose interest. I will not have any access to internet where I am going, so I will be offline for two weeks.

What say you, George and Brother Thomas? I'm game to give this another shot if you two are.

I'm still around. Though the 31st is my birthday so I won't be able to post right away.

All good.
My life has been crazy anyway!

I will be posting on Sunday evening. No service where I am going this weekend.

Part of my post was eaten, you are in room 31. Where to next?

Are you referring to your original post on the door to this room? If not, I think we may have gotten ourselves a little turned around; we came down the stairs, turned left, and opened the door 45' down on our right, which opened into the room. Looks on the map like we were supposed to find another hall, with Room 31 on our left 20' away?

I'm fine just forgetting about it, using the map as it appears and moving on. My gameplay post assumes that's what we're doing :)

That is exactly what happened. Apologies

Sorry folks, but I'm going to officially bow out of this game. It doesn't look like it's really going to be updated regularly, and I've the opportunity to join more active games which will take up my pbp time. I hope all is well with you and wish you all the best of luck in future games :)
