Would it be ok if we knew what their AC is? Tamm is getting ready to bounce around all over the map using his bravado blade ability to intimidate enemies and his cruel weapon to sicken them with a follow up strike.

I can't know if I can do the second if I don't know if I hit with the first.


I didn't happen to miss initiative, did I?

@Wivvy: If there's any gauge on how much overkill we just put into these fellas (i.e. he drops between the 2nd and 3rd attack), please let us know.

That's assuming that we dropped any of these first few we engaged.

@Wivvy: These wouldn't happen to be outsiders would they? If so, I'd hit a lot harder.

@Everybody else: I went for jacking a couple of the close ones. I figure we see how tough they are and then formulate any strategy for round 2.

We know they're not Outsiders, they're either Fey or Monstrous Humanoids (somehow I doubt they're Animals) since it was Nature to identify.

Next turn I think I'll beat one down and then slap a few more with a Cold Ice Strike, but this turn none of them were in a ine from where I ccould get to easily.

Sorry guys, it's been a really busy week coupled with being sick and I haven't been able to get on here at all. I'll try and jump in as soon as late tomorrow night, after that you'll have my consistent posting. Not to mention these battles require a LOT of math, so I'm goig to have to write a few things down.

It's a shame this game died; it looked like an interesting premise. 18th level gestalt character represent a significant time investment to build as well. Too bad.

I was having fun for the brief time it was up and running. If nothing else Wivvy seemed to have the right idea for encounters in high level/high power games so far: Throw a bajillion dudes at the group instead of a few that will get pounded in 6 seconds flat.

Building the character and comparing it to what other people built was fun.

That is definitely true. I actually had a lot of fun making Graah!, even if I didn't get to play him (and even though he was horribly broken).

Yeah. I was afraid when I started that Monk/Brawler would be incredibly redundant, but judicious use of archetypes and Qinggng powers really spiced it up (Took an archetype for Brawler that removes Unarmed Strike/Brawler's Strike but gets "Ignore Hardness", then took a Monk archetype that gets rid of Flurry, and so on).

I'm just sad I never got to see the look on some poor schmuck's face when I Pummeled him and then let loose a Cold Ice Strike on top.

I was really interested in seeing what Sazzat could do when he let loose, because the Cornugon Nightcrawler Flurry was pretty neat.

Well, he was relatively new to the forums, less that 500 posts, so it would be pretty hard to go by. If you never apply for a game run by a GM new to the boards, you may restrict yourself a fair bit.

Ironically, it was less my mechanics I was looking forward to playing, than the character's personality. I already knew his mechanics were ridiculous, which is why I tried to tone him down a bit, but I always envisioned this character (I've pitched other builds of him in other games) as a offbeat, non-english speaking (or common) Chewbacca type. Always thought the interplay with others would be a lot of fun that way.
