Nobody else sees the creatures. I suppose this would be a good time to ask, with True Seeing am I aware of the illusion "overlaid" on the creatures, or am I just unaware of any illusion at all? I lean towards the former, but others disagree. If the former I can fill everyone else in.

Tamm, from Chengs description, you know that these things are actually cottage sized, and have the ability to change into giant scorpions at will.
When Cheng speaks, one of the civilians looks at him, eyes glowing. "He knows." When he speaks the others stop. You all hearing quiet murmurings of He knows spreading throughout the street. They all stare at you.
There are a lot of these creatures. Between 20-30 from what you can see.

"Maybe we should shut that door? In just a second we could have twenty or more giant scorpions picking us apart for dinner."
| Zuzhou Cheng |
"Bah, we can take 'em. Besides, do you really think the Illusionist would have sent us here if it was as simple as walking back through the door? Mark my words that door will disappear as soon as we make a move for it."
| Wivvy |
"Dammit how did you- uhhg, well thanks for spoiling the surprise!" A voice rings out in your heads. The the voice calls out to the scorpions, "What are you waiting for? Kill them already!" When he speaks, the illusion falls of the creatures and everyone can see the cottage sized scorpion men standing in the streets.

Free actions to enter Dragon, Snake, Snapping Turtle, and Pummeling Styles.
Cheng decides to play it somewhat safe, for now.
"Let's see how you handle this, eh?"
He charges at one of the nearer scorpions, and lays into him with a massive punch.
Charge at S5, and I Pummeling Charge him.

Upon preparing his spells and casting his regular daily buffs, Thomas engages with his new party through the illusory door. "Off putting folks around here, aren't there?"
As the fighting began, Thomas picked out a point far enough away from his frontline allies to just miss them with a Sunburst spell.

After a shocking display of power from the party, the scorpion men stand shocked and slow to react. Finally one, badly damaged from the first volley, moved in to strike Cheng. However, Tam's blows and Thomas's magic had proved too much for the beast and he misses every blow he attempts to make.

The beast was near death already as Tam's assault had dealt a great many blows, all it took was one mighty blow from Cheng and the beast's brains were splattered about the ground. You got him on the first hit. Unless you would rather be beating a corpse for a full round, sounds like fun. ;)
