This campaign mixes pulp noir, steam, and adventure. The campaign presents a dystopian view of Breland and delves into the question of Sovereignty - both personal and national. The campaign is a dystopian fantasy espionage campaign.
"Ebran, how long can you hold the fog cloud for? What I'm thinking is this- there are two traps, one on the ossuary itself and one in the vehicle- given time I'm hoping I can disarm both. I will provide Othan with additional physical strength without a need to make him larger and more noticeable in the process. He can then open the ossuary and grab its contents and we go. While we're doing that we need the rest of you to catch the guards' attention. Does anyone else feel this to be a worthwhile plan?"

I personally am for sneaking into the shop and triggering some sort of magical "accident" using the supplies... Such a distraction is not only effective but natural who hasn't ever heard of a magic shop that didn't have things go wrong once in a while?
"Let's get out of sight anyways- I'll need a few minutes to weave a couple of enhancements into mine and Othan's gear anyways and we should try not to gather attention before then. And yes Othan, if things go sideways we may need to kill them all but let us hope that is not necessary as our connection to the Citadel is secret and getting arrested will make us far too visible."
"Oh, and Absylon, was it? Any magic shop that does have things go wrong occasionally tends not to keep in business long..."

You haven't been to the Principalities have you? There everything goes wrong, including the magic shops which are run by some of the most hard-assed dwarves to live on the Dragon Between...
As they move farther out of sight, Ebran occasionally peeks around the corner to ensure the cart is still there.
In a low whisper, he quickly speaks to Danir and the others, "OK, I can put the fog down, it's good for 10 minutes. How long will it take for traps? If it takes too long, maybe Othan can smash the axle and cause the cart to tilt and the lid to slide off easier. I can vanish magically a handful of times as well, not to mention hiding. I can also do ranged support if things go sour. Get the astrolabe in my hands, we run, I split off and hide. Meet at the Tooth and Nail, Middle Tavick's Landing, day after tomorrow."
exciting, planning a heist. sorta exactly what i designed my character for.
"Danir and Ebran's plan seems solid...do any of you have suggestions for what illusory sounds I should conjure?"
He avoided responding to Absylon.
Who put him in charge? Surely they would have said...unless this is all some giant facade on the Citadel's part...no. No, this is just someone with a superiority complex, nothing more.

If they are Blood members then I would advise using the sound of screeching Thranian zealots... The war between those two faiths is well known, if they are just hired muscle then I advise you to do your best "Brelish Constable" imitation...
Once everyone is set on their part, Danir weaves Cat's Grace into his own gloves and Bull's strength into Othan's shirt. "We only have three minutes of enhanced abilities so let's get this plan going."

You guys need to know where you are. You are in Redstone. Which has shops. West of you is overlook. The magic shop is next to the temple of Kol Korran. You are west of the magic shop, directly west of it. The Temple of Kol Korran is north of you, and to the south of you is two shops that sell clothing.
Ebran lays down fog
Xov creates sound distraction
Danir moves in to the container
Othan and Absylon dispatch/harry/chase/distract enemies (two psionic guys, possibly the warforged cart-puller, any others that pop up)
- Ebran supports with ranged attacks until container is opened.
Container is opened (hopefully)
Danir hands Ebran the artifact
Ebran goes invisible, high-tails it out of there, returns the artifact
If possible once the artifact is obtained Xov would join Ebran on his visit to Lyrander, to boost his elven credentials, determine if they wanted Ebran to die, and get a sense of whether they are a threat.
If his ghost sound is needed to cover Ebran's escape he would stay with the group.
Ebran wouldn't object, but you'd have to keep up. with high acrobatics, stealth, catfall and invisibility a few times a day, i made him for daring cut-and-run sorts of activities. I dunno what Xov's capable of, but anything to slow down/confuse pursuit would be good. Ebran would wait for a little bit outside Lyrandar if you two got separated and Xov was determined to be there. Not sure a Drow would boost the elf credibility, since they are very separate from Khorvaire elves as well as the Khoravar of the House Lyrandar.
Yea 40,000 years of separation (assuming Lyrander's ancestors left Xen'Drik right after the giants were wiped out) is a long time...heck Ebran is probably more closely related to Aerenal/Valenar elves than Xov is. Xov isn't determined to follow, he just prefers people to work in pairs instead of alone. If Ebran is significantly faster he won't try to follow.
Danir is just waiting for the others to give the nod, then he places the above mentioned spells onto himself and Othan and gets his masterwork thieves tools prepared to go to work.
Once everyone nods that they are ready, Ebran reaches his hand up to his collar and activates his dragonmark, raising a Fog Cloud over the cart.
20ft radius fog cloud, will last 10 mins. Ebran will stay back while Danir and the others approach it. Ebran will provide ranged support until Danir gives the signal that the lid and traps are opened.
Having gotten the go, Danir placed the magical weaves into his and Othan's garments +4 Str to Othan, 3 minutes and +4 Dex for Danir and then sprang forward towards the cart under cover of fog. Once he reaches the cart, he makes his attempt to disarm first the cart trap and then the ossuary trap.

Absylon calmly waits and augments himself to improve his speed and agility, in addition to this he changes his appearance... Dark Grey hair becomes fiery red, porcelain skin becomes tanned and his pure black eyes become normal green ones... Even his voice seems to have changed.
using metamorphosis, minor to gain a 10 bonus to land speed and a 10+ bonus to my disguise check to appear as someone other then Absylon... If possible I will take ten on the disguise check for a total of 27...
Missive, Ebran:
Best not to appear my normal self for this venture eh?
Xov will ready an action to cast grease. Assuming Ebran starts running this round, Xov will cast on the area in front of the first guard who chases Ebran. If no guard attempts to chase Ebran this round, Xov will cast it on the area under one of the other guards.
Guard 2, struck by a critical hit, attempts to strike Danir with a handheld (hehe, the repeating was real) repeating crossbow. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Guard 3 is on a slippery surface and must make a dexterity check. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Guard 4 spends his action giving Absylon an incredulous look.
