Rather than lure them outside, i'd rather close the outside doors behind us, if we can, and take them in here.If there is a five foot wide door we can bottle up in, Krenlin can turtle up in the doorway, and Tim and Will can shoot around him. Penalties, i know, but Tim will not run out of ammo....

Well at least for the "surprise" round we should have a clear shot :) Tim & I shooting and you (and Hob) blocking the way after we did that?

@EldonG, could you provide us with a simple layout of our situation (if possible only the bits we've seen) So we can according to the info we have available.


Timothy has a pretty good dex so the penalties will only put him a little below 50/50 to hit, as long as the DM agrees that since the spell I'm using only hurts undead I dont have to worry about hitting allies so I should be able to just use the soft cover penalty and not the shooting into Melee penalty.

Agreed, and your plan feels pretty feasible to me. The doors are double doors both inside and out, though the inner doors are smaller. Someone could definitely be in each without penalty, and there would also be no penalty from shooting over Timothy's head. Both of the inner doors still work, as well.

You're actually looking into a pretty good shooting gallery - there's a wide aisle between pews, close enough to 10' wide. Two are close to the altar, some 30' away. All of them will take a round to rise, too.

Closing the outside door is likely to alert them, so how about Hob does that so we don't lose the surprise round.
Can Krenlin hold the doorway by himself for a round or so? He could close one of the doors, I guess. Or Just AoO anyone who goes past him? Maybe he should be looking at fighting defensively.
Hob can act as a blocker - though even with mage armour he's looking at a fairly easy to hit AC.

Though Hob won't talk about it, he has a CLW still memorised according to my notes. Rather use that to get someone back up then damage the undead, though.

Hob, I was planning to fight defensively. Without a slashing weapon, maybe Hob, when he gets to the line, could go full defense. I hope to be able to hold at least a round, with an AoO if anything tries to get past.

I wonder if there is anything that could be used as a makeshift shield or reach weapon?

Nah, life is just crazy right now. New job fills my evenings, and I'm still working out the bugs - I just moved to Austin three weeks ago. :)

If Krenlin is down, could Hob back away to the Paladin, cast CLW and bring him back up?

Hang on, I think I'm confused as to where we are on the map, and where the zombies are.
There's still one to attack Krenlin (after Tim's kill - told you he was better than an axe) and one on Hob, right? With potentially more still in the Shrine?

From what I understood, the one attacking Sir Krenlin fell after Tim's last attack (which time-wise came after the zombie attacked sir Krenlin).

So the only visible one is on you, but probably some others still around.

Back and good to go. Still a bit confused about which hallway/door would be where though.

There are two doors in the back of the main temple. They lead to two sitting rooms, with hallways going back in each. In the right room, the hallway is on the left, and vice-versa. There is a door between the rooms, plus two in each hall, one at the end, one on the side not going into the other room.

So we still need to open the sitting room doors, the two doors at the end of the coridoors, and the two doors leading away from the sitting room?
