Here's the situation.
I have a couple of you that are giving me what I asked for, and it's very appreciated. A couple more still post, but it's getting to be less and less often.
When I first suggested the game, I knew it would take a lot of energy and feedback, and said so...but we've definitely lost players, and the energy is waning.
Is it worth continuing? I need a lot more energy put into this game than would be put into most games.

I am also still very interested. Although I'm not certain how we will get the remaining players together as it seems Timothy and Hob plan to go north where Krenlin and I plan to go south.
I was wondering something. Do you feel that have been playing my character as I portrayed him in the original recruitment? As I personally had it difficult balancing between wanting to help people and being the loner that he is, but that might just be me.
Kinda sad myself that we seemed to have lost several people as I thought some of the interactions were fun.

The Hob |

I think there is enough interaction to support a game, but the fact it is in two parties of two is where the problem is occurring.
Hob is heading home to check on his family. Once he's started setting up he may well go scouting.
I assume you've been waiting for the other north people to join in, but I think it is just Tim and I talking to NPCs - and they respond only rarely. If you give up on them and close the response loop I think we'll be posting a lot more.
Possibly another recruitment for more players would help?

Well, as long as there was a big group, and we had significant contributions from each, I didn't mind a split party. That's obviously changed. I can get you guys together...I just need to decide whether it's going north or south.
I am open to more recruitment, but didn't see much response last time.
I think those of you that are posting are fine...I was hoping for the others, but I'll move it along, now.
Will might not be as crazy as everyone thought he was...sometimes it takes an emergency to drag someone back to lucidity...but who knows what might happen?
I'll start working on getting you guys together today, then.

The Hob |

Hmmm. As far as we know the town is overrun. How far are we from Hob's place?
Thinking of dropping the NPCs there, picking up a small squad (and Timothy) and heading to the temple to see if we can find potions and scrolls that might help, as well as scouting the town in daylight for useful supplies and survivors.

The Hob |

did not want to clutter up the gameplay thread.
@EldonG: Just checking;
(A) go through town, cross the bridge, up to the temple
(B) cross river upstream, approach temple from the "out of town direction"
Of these approaches, (B) is not feasible?

Crazy Will |

hmm, didn't mean for it, but due to mine & Hob's actions, it seems this way the party would be split up again.
As Will's reaction currently would be to leave Sir Krenlin to try and convince the Compton family to make ready to leave, while he and Hob check out the temple and meet back in front of the estate.
Of course this could be a very short split up depending on what happens.
Was planning on making my post in such a manner that some people might be able to convince him otherwise, but wanted to make certain my course of action was ok.
Don't want to break the group up again after you went through the effort of getting us on one track :-)
Hope everyone is liking the "drama" a bit ... Will is very different from most characters I play.

Father Sir Krenlin |

Loving the drama, C-Will. I'd be open to leaving the npc's (Sarge, Lisdi, the Comptons) at the estate for a quick scout of the Temple by Will, Hob, Krenlin and Tim. Of course, in the horror genre, who knows what might have happened by the time we get back...?
(my mind is now flashing to This Geico Commercial )

Crazy Will |

So if I got the situation right, we have the following :
4 of us vs 3/4 undead in the temple.
We have:
- Sir Krenlin with longsword & shield
- Timothy with disrupt undead cantrip (unknown to Will)
- Hob without a weapon carrying Timothy
- Will with a decent bow, a morningstar and a handaxe.
So if we decide to fight, Hob could have either one of the melee weapons and Will could go for the bow, trying to at least get one or two shots into them before they get to Sir Krenlin & Hob?
Although it's possibly foolish, currently don't feel like running from these as the risk is worth the possible reward in my book. There will most likely be things we can use beyond this room.
What is everyone's opinion on this?

The Hob |

I think we could (just) take them.
Other than Falchion and Greataxe Hob can only use simple weapons, but probably could use a club. Or I guess anything with -4.
The only other option I really see is luring them outside.
I think Tim is our big hitter in this.

Crazy Will |

Well morningstar is a simple weapon :) and don't forget that these things are my favorite enemy, so I'll do some damage ^_^
