As they talk, he studies the ring upon the altar.

Gorn keeps chuckling as he hands the ring to Vanadin for his study. "Indeed, little one. Let us continue introductions afore we continue to belittle each others prowess. I am Gorn, of the Steelbreaker clan. Our kin were...eradicated, and hence what is left of the village is on the move. We are currently taking on impossible tasks for coin enough to stock up on supplies before heading toward a supposedly abandoned monastery, or something, that should prove a better living site than what we had previously.

And you think that I had ought to fear from that pussy cat?" he asks incredulously, pointing at the manticore. "Ha! I so small a kitten as that is any threat, 'tis only because I am to old and gray to lift my STEEL! Ha! Let another three of those come after me and MAYHAP then you can distract them with thy toothpicks and knitting needles to some effect."


Vanadin

The ring's 4 metals are each associated with the classical elements. the weave and some of the runes on the altar indicate command, or conjuring. with this ring, you could probably use the elemental spirits with this ring, if you can work out how it's done.

Tera's ears perk up as he listens to Kezra introduce herself. After inspecting the manticore corpse, and removing a large incisor as proof of their deed, Tera returns to the group.

He holds out a claw.

Tera Tchizzeck. Best hunter. Thank you for your help. We will be heading back to town shortly. You should come! The caravan is filled with nice people.

Gorn nods at Tera. "That's a fine idea. I bet Jimmy will love this," he says as he lops off the manticore's tail. "Are we going to be here much longer? If so then I need to start doing some push ups. It's chest day," he says while flexing his pectorals, gauging their size and definition

As Vanadin becomes deeply engrossed in their newest bit of jewelry, and Tera and Kezra start chatting about hunting different wildlife and how each bird tastes, Gorn shrugs, falls down, and starts doing push-ups with some really exceptional form. Like, his back is straight the entire time. Just ram-rod straight.

After a few dozen he gets up and starts flexing, checking out the breadth and girth of his pecs.

Not thinking them pumped enough, he gets down and does more, trying to maximize his pumposity. It's very important to have sufficient pumpitude.

During a lull in the conversation, Vanadin pulls out the ring and tries it on; he tries a few things... Visualizing a breeze moving through the clearing, mentioning some elemental words Varis described around the fire one night, having Flicker land on the ring.

Do I need to roll something? Trying to produce a minor, harmless effect.
Also going to harvest the Elver venom before we leave.

Been almost a month. I think we're just plain abandoned. =(


Kezra gives Tera's wings an envious gaze. "I've hunted with hawks, but never taken to the wind myself."

With a grin and a nod, she adds, "If you have a caravan headed off into the wilds, you'll need a good guide...and I'm in need of a bit of fresh air; this town has grown stuffy.

"I'd be happy to come with you, at least for a ways."
