Arpad smiles at his good friend, Xeros. Yes, let's.

Holding a torch high, Tarvinda politely asks, "Shall I go first?"

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

"No disrepect my dear, but I got an eye for traps so let me procede you." He gives her a rougish smile and moves down the stairs looking around for any traps.

Just using my previous roll unless you want me to roll again.

Tarvinda packs the necklace into her backpack, "I'll keep it safe for when we return." and follows Xeros.

You all head down the stairs and find that they are not trapped. At the bottom of the stairs is a circular chamber with three passageways leading from it. In the center is a small stone pedestal. The sound of dripping water can be heard coming from the eastern passageway, while the stench of rot emanates from the west.

The floor in this room bears an inscription spiraling out from the pillar. It reads: "To the south you might take your ease, to rest and reflect on Kassen's deeds. To the east lies a wheel, to open the gate. To the west is the resting place of Kassen, hero of the Fangwood."

Etna you guys just left room 12 and will be going into room 13. You labled the map as the map of room 12.

are you sure?

Room 13 for when we go down the stairs

Entering the round chamber, Tarvinda holds her torch in one hand, her weapon ready in the other. She stops as she enters the lower room, listening and smelling the air for any threats. As she looks about, she quietly says, "Iomedae, search for the evil within."

Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Detect Evil in chamber.

You don't detect anything coming from this chamber but you do detect a strong evil aura from deeper with in the crypt. The smell of death hangs heavy in the air as does the smell of musty water.

Female Human Paladin 1
Stats:
HPs 13/13 AC=15,FF=15,T=10, Saves F=4,R=0,W=2, Init+0, Perception+0

"Let us go forward and find the place of rest and ease, with the evil in this place, we could do with ensuring it's still a safe place." says Tarvinda looking around the group for confirmation.

24/24 HP; AC 18/11/17; Fort +7 Ref +4 Will +2; Init+1; Perception +7

"That sounds like a good plan, Tarvinda." Arpad says, nodding his approval.

"Sounds like a good plan,
So which direction do we go
east, South or west?"

Female Human Paladin 1
Stats:
HPs 13/13 AC=15,FF=15,T=10, Saves F=4,R=0,W=2, Init+0, Perception+0

Tarvinda replies to Etna "South, we should find safety to the south."

Room 17

The short passageway out of this room takes a bend before ending in a small chamber dominated on the far side by a silver fountain quietly burbling perfectly clear water. An inscription above the fountain reads "Kassen's legacy lives on with his people. Drink and be refreshed."

"Isn't that refreshing,
we found a safe room."

Female Human Paladin 1
Stats:

Tarvinda snatches a quick glance at Etna, a look of some astonishment on her face, "How can you be so sure, when we haven't had a good look round as yet?" Tarvinda takes her torch and searches around the room first, before she goes over and looks in the water.

Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

If nothing rises up or down and attacks or anything

"Well if Kassen says this water is safe and restorative, I guess we can believe it? I suppose this isn't like holy water is it, Arpad?"

Tarvinda you're pretty sure that there is nothing in here that can hurt you.

Female Human Paladin 1
Stats:
HPs 13/13 AC=15,FF=15,T=10, Saves F=4,R=0,W=2, Init+0, Perception+0

"So towards the smell of rot and decay and the tomb of Kassan, or the dripping water and the gate? The question is, what is the gate too, maybe the everflame lies that way, I don't know? Maybe with Kassen, whose tomb I wish to pay homage to before we leave. Arpad, does your god give you guidance on the way to go, or shall we just take a pick. I would vote west. towards Kassen, for surely he has the flame." Says Tarvinda as see weighs up the options out loud.

So is anyone going to try to drink from the fountain?

Etna will

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Xeros is debating bathing in water............But instead just takes a drink as well, "At least there are a few rooms with no trouble."

2d8 + 10 ⇒ (3, 5) + 10 = 18

Etna and Xeros you feel warth course through your body as your healed for 18 points of damage, any status conditions affecting you(don't think there are any) are removed, and is anyone suffering from any ability point damage(don't think so)?

Female Human Paladin 1
Stats:
HPs 13/13 AC=15,FF=15,T=10, Saves F=4,R=0,W=2, Init+0, Perception+0

Tarvinda, watches as her friends seem to revive themselves after drinking the water, "Are you really feeling better?" she asks, as the deep cuts knit together and dark bruises lighten and disappear. Yet she is impatient to retrieve the flame, "So WEST or east?"

"The water is quite refreshing."

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

"Agreed Miss Etna, it certainly is. You might want to use some for your tonics Arpad, it might give them a boost." With that Xeros fills his waterskin with the refreshing water and puts it away.
"I say we go west, isn't his resting place the location of the everflame or did I mis hear the story."

24/24 HP; AC 18/11/17; Fort +7 Ref +4 Will +2; Init+1; Perception +7

"I doubt my tonics could do anything for that well. It seems to be doing just fine on its own. And it sounds like west will be a good bet.

Female Human Paladin 1
Stats:
HPs 13/13 AC=15,FF=15,T=10, Saves F=4,R=0,W=2, Init+0, Perception+0

"Then west it is." says Tarvinda as she fills her water bottle with the pure refreshing water from the fountain. "Eta, Xeros, would one of you like to lead the way, you are more attuned to the dangers of this place than I?"

You guys head back to the circular room(Room 13) and head west(room 18 for Etna). The corridor opens up into a winding catacomb. The walls are skillfully carved with deep recesses where bodies might have once lain. All that remains now are cobwebs, dust, and the tattered remains of ancient clothing. The stench of rotting flesh is overpowering here, but the source is not evident. Just as the last of you enter the room the source of the stench is found as four zombies hobble from the shadows towards the party. "Bbbrrrraaaaiiiinnnsss" the chant as they move forward.

I need everyone to roll me init.

Round 1 wrap up.

Tarvinda you swing at the approaching zombie once it gets into range of your sword and open a large gash across the creatures chest. The horrid smell of rotting diseased flesh comes pouring out of the wound and you're pretty sure these aren't normal zombies. Etna you wait until a Zombie hobbles over to you and strike out with your blade. You connect, opening up a wound on the creatures arm. Xeros you swing out with your hand axe but you miss. Tarvinda, Etna, and Xeros are getting attacked in return. The Zombies try to slam into each of you but all three miss. Arpad you will move toward the zombie thats approaching you and will swing your morningstar at it, connecting firmly with its head. It still stumbles forward and tries to slam into you but misses.

Etna will move to flank with Xeros and strike out at the zombie in front of him. Her blade connects and cuts deep, letting out more foul smelling air. Xeros you finish off the zombie that was in front of you. The Zombie explodes in a burst of rotting and infected flesh. The Zombie in front of Tarvinda tries to slam into her.
