Ooh Ohh. Careful now. Backup a pace.
Andwell layes prone on his belly. Ties a rope around his waist and tosses the end to Travinda.
Crawling over the the questioned stone, he affixes a magnifying monocle over his eye.
Yes yes. Hmmm. Oooo. My my. Well now. this is simple enough.
He carefully takes out his tool set. Move this here. slide that back. yes yes. Alright everyone. Step back to the doorway. Here we go. In three . . .two . . .one . .

Andewll look back at the tiefling. He suddenly feels a bright spotlight is on him, and all are judging his character.
Oooooh. Umm. Yes Yes! Of course, I was just going to suggest that exact thing. I want to crawl into a shadow and disappear. Halfling luck is legendary, as well as our skills.
The cold sweat and gaunt face are visible to any you care to notice.
Reluctantly he crawls froward onto the floor.

You guys proceed through the hallway and enter a room through another unlocked door. One have of this chamber has a lowered floor, with stairs on either side to reach the bottom. Standing opposite of the door is a tall wooden statue of Kassen grasping a gigantic wooden shield in teach hand. The front of the shields are inscribed with the words home and family respectively.
To get a better look at the statue you would have to climb down the stairs.

Sorry I haven't been able to post much recently. I've been over at a friend's house for the last week and it cut into my post time severely. I've only been able to get a post here and there in some of my threads, and most have gotten none at all.
Hmmm.... why does Kassen have two shields in his hands?

I'll go. Slowly. Step by step. Inch by inch. Looking for traps along the way.
Stay sharp eyed with that bow Xeros. And only shoot above three and a half feet, if you please.
Here's some checks if/when needed.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 +1 for traps
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 +1 for traps
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 +1 for traps
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 +1 for traps
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 +1 for traps
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 +1 for traps
I hope only that first check is needed. *gulp*

I'll follow you little friend, see I still have hold of the rope. says Tarvinda, as she lifts the rope high held in one hand, "and a shield to protect us." The metallic shield moves forward in front of the young woman, as if being used to halt the blows from an imaginary foe. She looks forward to the statue, she smiles.
Nice storyline since my last post.

Andwell you would be on the stairs around A8. Xeros I figure you're around D11ish.
As soon as you touch the stairs the statue of Kassen animates, looking at Andwell and Tarvinda and smiling. The stairs turn into a ramp and Andwell starts to fall. Andwell I need a reflex save from you or a strengh check from Tarvinda(assuming you're still tied up) and I need initiatives from everyone.
DM Mathpro
Tarvinda you're just able to keep Andwell from falling down the stairs but the jerk on the rope does knock him prone in his square. The statue starts moving towards Andwell and Tarvinda. Xeros as it turns and moves towards them you notice that it has a key hole in its back.
Please post you're actions for the round, consider this like being in combat so you get a move and a standard action. Things are simple enough that I don't think I'll need you guys to post 2 actions.
Xeros
Seeing the key hole on the back of the creature he draws back his blunt arrow and shouts, "ANDWELL! THERE IS A KEY HOLE ON THIS BACK, I'LL GET ITS ATTENTION AND YOU PLACE THE KEY IN THERE!" With that the tiefling launches the arrow at the construct.

Tarvinda. Slack the rope!
Andwel rushes down the colapsed satair case, now a ramp, and cuts diagonal to the back wall. Wedging himself between the wall and the back of the construct. Thrusting the key into the slot, he uses he best tactile senses and training to tumble the key pegs into (what he hopes is) the off position.
Come on Andwel. Trun this monster off or your a goo smear on the wall.

Tarvinda lets the rope go slack and Andwell you make it to the statue. Unfortunately this thing is rather large. You do your best to get a good hold of it(grapple it) and climb up his back and you succeed. Next round I'll need another grapple check to see if you can hold on(DC 18) and then the disable device check to see if you can get the key on the hole and get it turned.
Neculai you inspire courage and let out a cheer as you see your halfling friend do his thing with the statue. Xeros you fire your arrow but it bounces off the statues back as it turns and tries to smash Andwell against the ledge. He succeeds and Andwell is crushed for 6 points of damage.
Etna you take a defensive stance and thankfully the halfling is doing a pretty good job of getting the statues attention.
Attack on Andwell:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 171d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Andwell the statue is size category large and your size category small so I figured it would take a climb check to get up to where the key is. I took your extra rolls and made the first one your grapple check(to get a good hold on him) and made the second roll your climb check. Not really sure what the DC to climb a walking statue is so I made it 20 and you netted a 21 so a success
Tarvinda Darvelle
Assumes Tarvinda let the rope go and got up in the previous round.
Round 2:
Status:
HP: 16/21 AC: 19/13/16 Conditions: None
Tarvinda, in conflict, draws her flail and attacks the statue (if possible), hoping to disable it sufficiently to stop its attacks on Andwell, but not destroying it totally. After all it is a statue of their hero Kassen. "What is the meaning of Home and Family, that this statue does attack us."
Flail attack 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 = 22 includes +1 bardic courage
Flail damage 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 = 11 includes +1 bardic courage
DM Mathpro
Andwell you're grip slips on the statue but you some how manage not to fall off. I'll need another grapple check from you. Neculai you continue singing. Xeros you fire an arrow at the statue and hit it this time. Tarvinda you move up and attack the statue smacking it on the shin with your flail. The statue looks down at Tarvinda and attacks her with the shields, trying to smash her between them but he misjudges your height and they clap together over your head. Etna you continue you're total defense.
Shield attack on Tarvinda:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 71d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 81d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
