If you want to remake him I'm ok with it. I'd rather you remake a character into something you enjoy playing than have you lose interest and disappear.

Sounds like neither of my other players that I wanted to bring in are in a place to play right now. One is playing in Carrion Crown with me elsewhere and won't have time to split. The other is mysteriously busy but he may join later.

That means I think I'll keep you at 3rd level and see how it goes with the difficulty.

Just to give you all a timeline. I'm going to read through what I need to on the gameplay thread (Dervak was very helpful in pointing out some critical parts), and re-read through some of book 1 before we start rolling again. I'm aiming for next week Sunday at the latest. In the mean time if you have any questions or concerns let me know either here or in private message.

Sounds good! As I mentioned in the GM recruitment thread, I think that Sara (the little girl who Mara started with) may have been an NPC added by the original GM. She first appears here (last post on the page).

She most definitely was added. I don't think I have a problem keeping her around. I haven't quite got to the part where she starts showing her supernatural side so I'm not sure what to make of her yet. She is in my notes.

Was there ever a treasure tracking sheet made? Sorry if I missed it.

I made a full map on slides, link. Pretty sure when we're in initiative I'll make a tighter map to focus on just that area.

I don't think there was a treasure tracker, we all just kind of put our own stuff on our character sheets. Loot was pretty sparse anyways, if I remember correctly.

Yes, we have just been putting gear on our sheets. I don't think we've been very meticulous about it, and some PCs who were carrying found items have vanished.
Dervak to date has picked up an Amulet of Natural Armor +1 and a magic shirt (10 HP stored).
The most notable other items were a wand of CLW (Oscar had this, down to very few charges now) and another Amulet of Natural Armor (N'Dateh). Anything else?

Thanks for the annotation that does help.

As far as loot I had a feeling that you were lagging behind. I'll get a tracker set up soon. That should help me see where everyone is at.

I started this game late, so Theo just has starting equipment.

I was on a kind of leave of absence for a while, so I only have a few things from loot. The first gm said that I could find an alchemy kit to make extracts when I multiclassed into Investigator.

Ok I set up a sheet and added the items mentioned above. I did not include any starting gear or gear integral to class functions. Feel free to add if you wish but those are usually fairly minor items. Also added some definition to the GM created items.

@DM_Delmoth: Note: Mara's Naive drawback was houseruled by the original GM to add a -4 penalty to Sense Motive vs Bluff (the -2 to CMD vs Dirty Tricks probably doesn't come up all that often). Even so, it's not like she really loses out: the drawback allowed her to also take the Bastard trait, which gives her Sense Motive as a class skill, and a +1 trait bonus to Sense Motive.

The Naive drawback does have roleplaying implications. :)

Sounds good to me, I have seen you RP it from what I've read so kudos. I usually don't go over characters with a fine tooth comb. Esp when the players areexperienced.

But this does bring up another point. I will frequently roll dice for you, to reduce the amount of call and response needed, so if you have any conditonal modifiers for skills and saves esp saves, perception, and sense motive please note them near the modifier on your character sheet, if you have not done so already.

I've updated Dervak's stat line with the effect of his Pariah alternate racial feature. I've tried to RP that, along with his Courageous and Pugnacious traits, without being too disruptive. His rough edges will smooth out as he gets to know the party better.

On gear, it does seem like N'Dateh took an Amulet of Natural Armor, two masterwork silver daggers, and a potion of CLW. If she wants to go back to being a survivor in the chapel rather than coming with us, we could get those items. Oscar had a charm of some sort from the haunt room, and a partially-charged wand of CLW (down to maybe 4-5 charges).

You've all done a good job RPing which is why I decided to pick up the game. A little friction between party members makes things interesting.

I added those items to the party sheet. If you want to claim them just add them over to your sheet and remove them off the party one.

I believe the bracelet charm that Oscar found was an Occultist focus so its not really useful to anyone else.

One note regarding natural armor: Mara will be casting Barkskin (duration 10 min/lvl) on one or more frontliners (this assumes we are remaining at 3rd lvl).

When she's 5th lvl, she will usually have Magic Circle against Evil cast on herself (+2 deflection bonus in a 10ft radius).

I think I fixed the things on my sheet that were missing, but I don't think I have any traits from CC. I think I made a mistake with the Aliases which I'm going to try to fix now.

Looks like you have chance savior listed which gives a +2 to init. There are othere traits that give that same bonus though, reactionary for example.

I had the same thing happen when my Hell's Rebels game started up again after a long hiatus. On a whim, I checked the Gameplay thread and found things had started up again a week earlier.

Yep, my notification thing was doing the same, sorry about that! Will have something up tonight once I read through everything. Sorry guys, I spent most of the weekend without technology-it was the first nice weekend of the year and I spent it outside. Felt good to not have snow on the ground...this was a bad winter.

Who has the amulets of natural armor? They don't stack with Barkskin, so if one of those people wants Barkskin, Mara would like to borrow their amulet for the duration of the spell.

Dervak had one amulet. Mara can have it for now if he gets one Barkskin (making him AC 16).
N'Dateh had the other but it is back in party loot now. Julius or Rowan, I would think, with the other getting the other Barkskin.

I'm assuming the reference to the ghostly figure is about the one we saw on the outside path from the taxidermy room.

Correct, there are two doors to that room that you can see but the direct route is blocked by rubble. The other you had to go outside into the fog but there was a ghostly figure in front of the door. Naysa said the nurses station was north of that room.

I think you came in after that part. Winter did also mention that the Administrator's office was north of the Library too.

Rowan is good with whatever. I’m in the process of switching from monk to brawler, since I didn’t know the later was an option.

Rowan has an 18 for dex and has some decent light armor, giving him 18 for ac. I also have one CLW potion.

Brawler is great, but lacks the Will save of the monk (and presumably you wouldn't keep the 18 Wis since brawlers don't get as much use out of it), so I would make sure you shore that up somehow.

Good call, my will save is currently sitting at +1 (bad, I know). Will look at traits to see if one will help.
