We remember the guards' reaction on seeing Sara.
But can we trust our memories?
Did what we think happened an hour ago really happen?
Are the guards' memories wrong, or are ours?
Was Sara both there and not there at the same time?

Dervak will think Sara is like Cerio; maybe even the same ghost taking a new form.


You seem to remember the guards reacting to Sara, but when you ask them about it they seem to not remember anything.

I'm sorry, but can we do without the whole "steals from their own party" thing?

Its a huge pet peeve of mine and my character has already proven he'd shoot first, then check for proof.

I'm here, but haven't had much to add to this scene.

Dervak would not be particularly interested in why this old woman woke up or who she is. Just another one of the survivors to him. He'll need an in-story reason to care, and some real convincing to bring her along.

Now, if it comes out that she has had similar dreams of the fog and the figure within it, that would be something to consider...

I'd be OK resting before further exploration. If others want to continue before resting, Mara will help out as best she can, but she doesn't have any spells left. She does have her new healing hex, however.


I was beginning to wonder the same thing Dervak. I'll shoot him a PM and hope I don't have to re-open recruitment on this PBP for the 3rd time in its run.

Though you wouldn't have to open up re-recruitment; you could just take whoever was your second choice from the last round because it was so recent.

It can be that this person was here all along, or woke up with N'Dateh, or whatever.


True, but I'd like to put the "People disappearing and reappearing randomly" thing on hold, at least for a little bit. Lets see how you guys feel with 4 slightly more powerful characters for a little bit and then we can talk.

APs are supposed to be designed for 4 PCs, so we shouldn't be too badly off. It's true we're a bit light on front line melee capable characters, though.

If you want, and will allow it, I can respec my character to be a melee character.

Dervak can be the frontliner. He can take feats that work well for this party composition. Like Stand Still to keep enemies from getting to the back lines. So no pressure on Oscar; re-speccing would mean you would have to reallocate some points to Con, at the cost of something else.

But the fights have been brutally difficult to date. We'll need better tactics to survive with only 4, and while that's usually the style of play I prefer (smart tactics rather than overpowered builds), Dervak isn't the one to come up with such ideas. Feel free to direct him in this regard.

I was only offering. My archery is definitely sub-par. Oscar kinda is a jack of all trades character: a bit of melee ability, a bit of ranged, a bit of magic, a bit of skills. He's not optimal at any, but he can shore up weak spots if he has access to the right gear or time.

... Speaking of gear, any news on that implement I'm supposed to have?

GM Madman: Is there a map of the area we are in? I personally have a hard time visualizing layouts based on text descriptions.

For what it's worth, I am able to make maps with a fog layer that gets erased as the party explores, in case you don't have an easy way of presenting maps. Here's an example of a map I was doing for a Carrion Crown game (which has unfortunately since folded).


I'd been thinking of making a roll 20 page for the game, everyone alright with that? If I remember correctly it was the GM that had trouble with it.
