Let it so known that the bearers of this charter, having delivered the northern reaches of the Greenbelt from the scourge of banditry, having provided detailed maps of the lay of the land, and having done no small amount of work in the exploration of said land and the culling of hostile monsters and indigenous hazards, are hereby granted the right to rule.
The nature and laws of rule are theirs to define, and the wellbeing of this new nation is theirs to protect.
In accordance for providing a stable nation to the south of central
Rostland, let there be a generous stipend of funds, support, and advice provided to this fledgling nation as a token of Restov and Brevoy’s goodwill, such that future relations between kingdoms might be mutually beneficial.
So witnessed under the watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov and by the authority granted by Lord Noleski Surtova, current Regent of the Dragonscale Throne.

Sorry for the delay folks, between being a bit busy and frankly a bit unmotivated, I haven't gotten around to posting yet. My intent is to get to it tonight.

I figure Pitax info likely falls under one of these three Knowledges:
Geography - (lands, terrain, climate, people); Used for astronomy.
History - (wars, colonies, migrations, founding of cities)
Local - (legends, personalities, inhabitants, laws, customs, traditions, humanoids)

I will take any of the rolls listed above to provide further information on Pitax.

As I'm sure many of you are aware, ultimately dealing with Irovetti is a Book 5 issue. We are currently in the end stages of Book 2 - granted Kingmaker is particularly flexible in terms of order encounters.
Long and short, setting things up to gather information and formulating plans to deal with Pitax are a good thing, but it's not necessarily something that needs to be done immediately.

I wasn't aware of that. I know very little about the later parts of the AP.

No worries. We can bury this lead as "we are not tall enough for this ride, let's just put it on ice until we feel ready" and in the meantime we can be paranoid about all the potential scrying that Wulfric mentioned. :D
Let's get some more adventuring done! I gotta hit level 7 so that I get the next level of spells!

Out of curiousity, what are the light conditions? The campfire should illuminate out to 40ft, with another 40ft of dim light. Poeppe with low light vision will treat out to 80ft as illuminated.
If there's moonlight everyone treats it as a step up from darkness outside of the campfire radius, and anyone with low-light vision treats it as daylight.
Something to keep in mind with an elf, a half-elf and human with fey blood in the mix.

40 ft for a campfire? I don't recall seeing that, but then again I have entirely too many editions of the game bouncing around in my skull, so I'm happy to switch that and will on the map.
While there is moonlight, you are in a relatively dense forest, save for the clearing you have made you camp in and the effects of the moonlight have been negated by the canopy for the most part. You are still free to take shots at anything that is outside of your range of vision, although you will have the standard 50% miss chance.
My comment in the game thread was specifically to Azen on her shot, as she is a human without low-light or darkvision.

Okay, that makes sense. So the spotting the oncoming trolls was more hearing tree branches snapping and stuff being broken by troll making a direct approach. Got it.

"Nobody told me trolls could do that!"
Unfortunately Dispell Magic is a 3rd level spell and I don't keep a slot open at that level. I'm also not sure it's something I could do in a reasonable time frame during combat anyway. I was thinking more along the lines of a damaging attack, like your Searing Light or Admonishing Ray, or even just an arrow.
When you have a single attack against a caster, it is often more advantageous to take it as a readied action to interrupt spellcasting instead of just attacking when your turn comes up. If you have multiple attacks, the calculus changes because you can't ready a full attack.
But Channel is a great option too.

Yeah makes the caster have to make a concentration check DC 10+ Damage taken + level of the spell they're trying to cast, to successfully cast their next spell.

Since we're headed into likely danger, now would probably be a good time to check out the loot sheets and claim anything you might find useful or would be an equipment upgrade.
There's wands of haste and magic missile, and a few combat scrolls as well as bracers and an amulet for AC boosts. (I think Wulfric already has the Lightningbolt wand)

That makes sense. Anyone not able to wear armor? If so they should take the bracers. If not I guess we can sell them when we get back to Oleg's.
Also casters, we still have dust and 2 potions that need identifying.
