I played a paladin in the original Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh who did not score a hit during the entire adventure.

Oh, wow. I never thought I’d meet someone with worse luck than I and a friend of mine combined.

Well the reunion with Ivo will be brief as Jesse is switching to Celebeth as his character. Unfortunately, I just have him pulling doublr duty for time being.

There was a cop in the latest Dresden book under similar circumstances. As he walks away he says under his breath, "I'm gonna die of cliche poisoning..."

I can see Jim Butcher throwing something like that in. One of my favorite scenes in what I've read of his stuff is from Furies of Caelderon at the end of the book. Made for a great bookend, if you'll pardon the pun, and was a pretty nice character moment.

I do need to catch up on both the Dresden books and the Discworld books.

I actually need to catch up on a lot of things.

Terri, anything past "Changes" is almost a new series on Dresden. It was a well named book. I feel like the latest, "Battleground" closed out the chapter started in that book. I was in turns devastated and enthralled.

Everyone's alright. The worst of it is that an old live oak in my aunt's yard that me, my sister, and cousins used to play around is going to have to come down. It split during the storm after a transformer blew and took out the power. A massive limb took out the lines heading to my grandmother's and it's clear to see the tree's rotten through the middle. We knew it would have to come down sooner rather than later, but it's still sad to see.

Heads Up -- I will be traveling/visiting with family starting November 18th through December 2.

Traveling days I won't be able to post (driving cross-country), and I am not sure whether I will have time while visiting with family, so please feel free to either bot my character or put her on ice in the meantime.

Sorry to say this but I'm going to be dropping out of this campaign. My work situation with COVID in school is making life... interesting and on top of that I just haven't really managed to get into this game. I'm sorry to be leaving a hole in the party, but you've got Terry coming back so the old gang will be together again and I'm sure you won't miss me too much!

Hey all. I'm going to need to take a little time away from the boards. I probably won't be back until after the new year. Some personal things have come to a head in my life and I need to take care of those and myself.

Don't worry, I'm alright. I'm in good health, well physically anyway. I'm working on the mental and emotional side of things. Part of that means taking a break from this and focusing on me and improving myself. I hope to be back soon, but I don't know how soon soon is. I will be back, though.

Hope all of you have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I'll catch ya in 2021.
