As for the two masterwork weapons from the bounty for Falgrim Sneeg (a name that reminds me of the Edge Chronicles every time I see it), does anyone have any preferences? I'd like a masterwork heavy crossbow, both since it's Abadar's holy weapon and since it would up my range game slightly, but that's not a real need.

So do we have a final decision on where you all are heading?

Sorry for the no post weekend. Turns out the state park I was at didn't have wifi despite my incorrect belief that they did. Anyway, I'll be driving to Seattle over the next couple days and won't be posting till the evening for a bit.

It's not out of the question to get some former charter holders to help you out, you'd just have to find them and make your pitch.

We can play out recruitment for those roles or we can handle it in the background, you just need to let me know who you are targeting and for what role.

Assuming we assimilate them into our Kingdom. If I read it right though it seems like Bassius is leaning toward more of a treaty situation, where the indigenous inhabitants could remain more or less autonomous. Tove might push for that even if that wasn't his intention.

Good point. I would like to bring them in more than that, less to control them and more so they could have a say in how things are run. Same with the fey.

Fun fact: I was intending to post earlier, but I couldn't remember if I was in the party last time they met the kobolds or not.

He's torn, because diplomacy falls to him as the de facto head of state, but he doesn't have a relationship with this chieftain, and Sootscale seems to be deferring to those he's already met and presumably worked with. He's planning on taking the lead if Tove doesn't, since she's the most outspoken of those who predate him as charter holders.

Tove can take the lead, but she'll be happy to defer to you later.

Just a heads up. Over the past few days I have found out that my grandparents on my dad's side both have COVID-19, my grandmother on that side is also in the hospital with a strep infection on top of this, and my grandfather on that side has been undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. Both are 76-77 years old, so already in the high-risk category before the rest of it. Just keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

On a different note, I was wondering if Terri would know how to go about contacting some of the fey in the area. I wanted to see if a dryad would be willing to help out getting the grove started. I figured it'd make for a nice retreat for use and others and give visiting fey someplace comfortable to stay.

So sorry to hear that Terri. I hope you are keeping safe, and I will certainly send my thoughts and prayers your family's way. Hopefully you can all get through this okay.

I really like the idea of a little dryad's grove. Tove is hesitant to trust the fey after the warnings of a vengeful queen, but hopefully if we can keep a few on our side they won't be too much trouble.

There was the dryad and her satyr lover that you had met before...maybe she'd be willing to come, or at the very least suggest someone.

Glad to hear your Grandparents are doing well. I'm sure we would share the information once the topic of the grove was brought up. As a hunter and follower of Old Deadeye, Garathane is down with the grove concept. In fact, any of our settlements should have groves. Keep with the dualistic nature/city thing we got going.

Before executing the first month worth of rolls and decisions, you need to finalize your starting council so that the proper adjustments can be made to the first month.

I must admit, I expected you to try and recruit a few folks to your cause on your trip from Oleg's to Fort Redemption...

Updating all my games since I've gotten more good news.
- Still no symptoms from my grandfather. It looks like he'll be alright.
- My grandmother is being weaned off the ventilator. The doctors are hoping that will happen soon.
- All in all everything's looking up, except...
- My grandfather, who's notorious for his inability to cook is going to try cooking himself something. My sister is going to make sure the house is still standing afterwards.
