Balthazar takes a bit of a stroll to the side of the bridge and peeks around the corner, looking up top at the hail of arrows coming down on his new allies he points his middle and index fingers up at them with his thumb pointed upwards and cocks it like a trigger as 3 blue flashes or light erupt from his fingers and swerve in an arc and hea up towards the archer with the yellow tabard.

The Yellow archer stares daggers at Balthazar and launches an arrow at him.

Above everyone and upon the turret at the top another Tiefling appears, he appears to be moving his hands around and from them a glow starts. The tiefling gathers the glow and throws it at the gathered group of heroes.

Balthazar waves his arm horizontally before him letting fly three more balls of blue energy.

"Little s~**e, begone, bedead!"

Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) + 3 = 10

Then moves back and crouches behind the wall and shouts to the rest of the group. "Keep an eye out for that spellcaster!"


Balthazar kills the final Tiefling, up top Tink's silence spell causes an issue but you can see some movement then hear "PULL"

As the words ring down to the group you can see the bridge visibly shutter. 2 Large creatures can be see down in the dry river bed, pulling Long chains that are attached to the bridge supports.

Balthazar pulls out a wand to heal himself with and then almost drops it when the bridge starts to shake.

"I didn't do it." He says with wide eyes looking around.

"What in the nine hell's is that?!" He says and moves into position to look down the side of the bridge.

And then realises he's still burned and hits himself with some healing wand action.

And we voiced concern that the enemy might have some way to destroy the bridge... But I guess they could have been hidden under the bridge?


Azrael's shot lands solid in the one that Lynn already damaged, slaying the beast which looks like it is still straining but is dead against the chain.

3 more beasts remain, one closer to your camp and 2 on the opposite side of the bridge as you.

The east side of the bridge is clear but 2 more beasts remain on the west side, the beasts grunt and groan as they attempt to pull the bridge down.

The North western pillar collapses, the chained best running away at the debris and sound of collapsing masonry.

Balthazar peeks from behind the wall, very much enjoying some cover, and tries to locate that spellcaster.

The last of the demonic tainted beasts is now dead, the bridge is only half of what it once was and even though you are not sure it is stable enough to cross. There is no sign of the final magic slinging Tiefling left.
