Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25 Flinders has Evasion. so takes no damage.
Reaching into his bandolier, Flinders removes a gem and smashes it on the ground. A large water elemental appears and Flinders orders it to attack!
"Destroy that skum!"
I would assume it appears south of Flinders, but since it has a swin speed, I think it could reach the skum in a single move. If it can get there in a single move, I'll have it form a vortex and engulf the skum. DC 19 Ref to avoid 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 damage and another DC 19 REf to avoid being picked up by the vortex.

A wand of remove curse with 6 charges remaining lies on the floor nearby. The copper sheets hovering above the lab contain formulae outlining the creation of elixir of true form, usable by any character with the Craft Wondrous Item feat.
Detect magic reveals the magical nature of the lab’s unbottled results, while a DC 24 Spellcraft check discovers that six elixirs of true form (see Treasure) can be salvaged. A DC 25 Spellcraft check is required to infuse the remaining ingredients into the elixirs and complete their creation.
With the defeat of Gerlach and Mohl’omog, you have removed the threat to the village of Blackcove and may return to the mainland. By using the elixir of true form, the you can also cure yourselves of the taint brought on by the warping effects of the island. Upon arriving in Blackcove, you are met by Gervus, Lira, Nicolaius, and the rescued villagers, who give them their promised reward.

Thanks for running GM! That was a fun one! I'm a fan of Lovecraft so of course this had lots of cool spoofs/references. And you managed to get us through just in time!
