Doing ok over here, Nomad Sage. I used to feel a little guilt for living in the suburbs with a front and back yard, but right now it has really come in handy.

Yeah, living in apartments right now would not be fun.

My wife and I are good. So glad we have each other and do not live alone though. I feel for those people who live alone and cannot get out.

We are trying to sell a house. Market was great for selling right before all this hit. Not so great now. We had a couple come back for a second look today. No word yet.

We're hanging in there. We are four of us in a small apartment, but fortunately we have a beautiful view and there is plenty of foliage and natural beauty right outside for our exercise outings, and my kids are old enough to be engaged in classes and homework all day and don't need "recess" time the way younger kids do.

Congratulations! You've earned enough experience to reach 10th level! Please post your level up info and update your stat blocks.

Awesome. Lets see if I remember how to roll hit points.

HP: 1d7 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 +5 (con) +1 (fcb) for a total of 14.

+1 BAB and +1 Fort saves

He gains 5 skill points and gets better at Acrobatics, Diplo, Intimidate and Perception.

He gets a new rage power and takes: Greater Beast Totem. He now can pounce. His claws do a d8. :)

I believe he can make a full attack and include natural attacks at -5 as part of that, right?

I missed writing a +1 in Perception (that's what we have Abby for, though :D)

Do we still have Abby? :/

Male Human (Garundi) cleric of Khepri 1/telekineticist 9; AC 20 (currently 23); HP 123/137 (includes 9 temp. and +10 overflow); 3 pts burn (24 pts NL damage); Perception +13; copycat 4/4; liberty's blessing 4/4

Cleric 1/kineticist 9:

+11 HP
+6/+1 BAB (same as last level; forgot that he can blast twice on full attack)
+1 to will saves

Elemental overflow +3 (bonus to attack and damage based on current burn, up to +3/+6)

Metakinesis (maximize) (by accepting 2 points of burn, she can maximize her kinetic blast as if using Maximize Spell) -- This is very nice total damage, and he can do it for one burn if he gathers power for a move.

4 skill points: +1 to stealth, +2 to UMD, +1 to perception.

I'm deciding between 3 infusions:
- magnetic infusion could be added to just about every blast for free: It "causes your foes to become mildly magnetic," so whenever an infused blast deals damage to a foe, attacks made with metal weapons against that foe receive a +4 bonus until the end of your next turn. Basically, giving melee fighter good bonus to hit against same foe for round, and any round Jarha hits.
- mobile blast creates an effect kind of like a flaming sphere effect that Jarha can move around but only does half the damage of his electric blast (3d6+2 if he empowers it; 3d6+7 if he's in overflow). The main advantage seems to be that the damage affects an area and could be used against a swarm; I don't know if the party otherwise has effects versus swarms. It could also add up damage if an opponent is held in a place or could force an opponent to move. But if Jarha has to move the blast then he has to use a move action, which means no gathering power (to allow empowered or maximized blasts) or full attack (which does more damage if the second blast hits).
- The third, snake, is probably too situational: "You have fine control over your kinetic blast, allowing you to alter its path to avoid obstacles. You can trace out any path no more than 120 feet long for your blast, potentially allowing you to avoid cover (even total cover). You can choose a path that leads into squares you cannot see."

I'm definitely leaning toward magnetic, unless the party has NO way to deal with swarm attacks...

Any thoughts?

M Human (Shoanti) Barbarian (Urban) HP 132/159,(Rage HP=189) l DR 5/10 Nonlethal and Resist Fire 3: INIT +2, Perc. +13, AC 22/T:14/FF:18, Saves= Fort+13/16, Ref +7, Will +7/+12 with rage

Of course I like Magnetic as it will help my secondary attacks hit. And since I just got pounce I'll make more secondary attacks. I guess it will not help with natural weapons. Oh well. :)

I do not have a way to deal with swarms except for an alchemist fire or two.

Of the three, Snake sounds the coolest. :)

We can figure out some swarm tactics. Stinking Cloud for instance...

Gender Fluid Half-elf Shadowcaster 5/Veiled Illusionist 4//HP: 38/46 AC: 13 (17 w/MA), F:4 R:6 W:7 (+2 ench), Init: +3, Perception: +12

  • Binding Darkness: 9/9, Veil Pool: 7/10, Pearl: 1/1, Extend Rod: 3/3
  • ***HARROW POINTS***: 4

Seren is anti evocation, so swarm control is helpful, although shadow evocation / conjuration could come in handy in a pinch.

Male Human (Garundi) cleric of Khepri 1/telekineticist 9; AC 20 (currently 23); HP 123/137 (includes 9 temp. and +10 overflow); 3 pts burn (24 pts NL damage); Perception +13; copycat 4/4; liberty's blessing 4/4

Thanks all. Jarha will probably go with magnetic, which will give benefit round after round. The others are cool, but situational, and he's already got a lot of infusions he never gets a chance to use.

Segang is standing there trading blows with something that outweighs him by at least a factor 20. Its not the best time for me for the game to pause... lol. Are we taking a break?

Edit - Nomad Sage posted in game play just as I posted this.

Nope. Just posted.

I don't think it's TOO meta gaming to suggest we don't need to use all those uses of the wand -- at least the second set -- when Jarha can apply more healing and we're not planning on entering more combat for now. So, unless the GM or someone else objects, I suggest we say Jarha did a bunch of healing after the initial wanding, taking some of the NL damage himself and giving some to Segang. Make sense? Do you want me to do the rolls, DM NomadSage?

That's fine. This encounter is done so you technically have as much time as you need to heal up.

Cool. I've added a post to the thread and I think we can just say none of the charges needed to be used, unless I'm missing something.

So is the plan for Segang to go in alone? Are we all going in? I would like to at least lure the thing to where Segang can charge the creature. If Segang is going in, what buffs does he have? I have lost track.

It keeps moving. I can try to cast Stinking Cloud and leave it nauseated but its Fort Save is probably really high.

Is anyone good at intimidation? Segang? Abby? If we can lower its Will Save, I can cast Confusion.

M Human (Shoanti) Barbarian (Urban) HP 132/159,(Rage HP=189) l DR 5/10 Nonlethal and Resist Fire 3: INIT +2, Perc. +13, AC 22/T:14/FF:18, Saves= Fort+13/16, Ref +7, Will +7/+12 with rage

I think I just charged it. But you reminded me I get a free intimidate roll IF I hit it. Confusion will not help much as when we attack it it will simply focus on who attacked it.

Hey all, how's everyone doing? I'm lagging the game badly. All my pbp games are hardly moving for that matter. I'm assuming some level of burnout from 2020, COVID or whatever.

I'm probably going to have to shelve a game or two, but I really want to commit to keeping this campaign going, as long as y'all are still invested. But if you're just not feeling it, I'm not going to push... pbp games are difficult enough. I'm afraid a long break would just kill the game outright.

Thoughts?

I'm in ... I'm shedding some other stuff, since the games I run are bogging down as well.

I think it's because i spend all day in front of a computer now, so I'm less inclined to find this to be the "escape" that it used to be.

Figuring my way through it, but I would like to finish this campaign.

I'm truly sorry to do this, but I'm going to have to take a leave of absence from the paizo forums for a while.
