1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Vinexa is very much a kineticist, while the overwhelming soul archetype would be perfect flavor wise I can't bring myself to sue it because it is a complete piece of garbage, I may look at elemental annihilator as it could work. Her race is that of a demon born tiefling, it adds to her fiery temper and her powers complement it's destructive nature very well.
As for multiclassing/PRC nope, it's hard enough for a kineticist to keep up and multiclassing will kill her effectiveness. I also can't think of any PRCs that would really complement her short of maybe the evangelist one which won't fit the setting well.
I don't drink so sparkling grape juice. Vinexa doesn't either, it's too dangerous for her as she could lose control of her powers quickly if she did so she'd have the same kind of drink.

Arkus Scargazed the Half Orc Ranger would likely be drinking rain water as he lies in wait to catch his next bounty unaware. He may go for more skilled training (Fighter) or allow his Rage to drive him towards his prey (Barbarian). He may or may not be taking more levels to advance his Marks, whatever they maybe. Being a dragonmarked Or Aberrant is not easy.
Lokien Forge this dwarven Warrior (Barbarian and Fighter) would kick back with a huge mug of ale in a tavern somewhere enjoying the chilled beverage while looking for more job oppunities or a simple brawl.
He would have to spend more time to increase his current skills somehow but he always ends up learning some new combat trick............
Their Player Namely me would be having soft drinks simply because hard liquor is not allowed for me at this moment of time.

Khravos Vortensis RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32 |

If you had to list a class (yes it can change) what is your starting class and race for your character?
Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker).
Do you plan on multi-classing? Prestige classes?
Will probably go strictly one-class, unless something piques my interest later. A dip into Aegis might be fun at some point.
What're you drinking for New Years? And what's your character drinking?
Chris will be drinking a glass of one or more of four aged single malt Scotches. Khravos will drink water, as he had a single bad experience with alcohol almost immediately after leaving the monastery. We don't talk about it.

If you had to list a class (yes it can change) what is your starting class and race for your character?
Dwarf Inquisitor of Abadar (or Boldrei to use the Eberron analog that I think would work best)
Do you plan on multi-classing? Prestige classes?
Not at the moment, though the Phalanx Soldier archetype might be a fun addition. Can you say Dwarven Long-hammer time?
What're you drinking for New Years? And what's your character drinking?
Beer or wine for me, probably a nice strong ale for Vindlér.
Happy New Year, all!

Human Druid
Do you plan on multi-classing? Prestige classes?
Seriously considered going into a wild shaper prestige class, but nothing concrete at the moment.
What're you drinking for New Years? And what's your character drinking?
Myself I might have champaign or wine. My character is definitely more of a sweet wine person if not just water.
Happy New Year friends.

Satinder Hawkes |

Satinder Hawkes for your consideration.
Satinder's presence in Sandpoint is only tenuously voluntary. Not long ago, he was mentoring under Antus Miron, an inquisitive in Sharn. In the course of one of Satinder's first solo cases, he stumbled upon a cover-up that implicated several of Sharn's elite. Shortly thereafter, he was politely but firmly offered a post as an administrative assistant to the mayor of Sandpoint. While he has grown fond of the town and many of its inhabitants, he yearns desperately to return to Sharn. He knows the city's corruption, but it doesn't keep him from dreaming of going home.
Satinder will probably be an investigator with the Psychic Detective archetype.
Answers to the posted questions to follow. It's bedtime for me. Happy New Years, everybody!

Marquis Steelbear |

What does your character lie about?
He lies mainly about how much he really cares about others and how smart or skilled he is, mainly in an attempt to not risk failing others.
What is your defining strength?
He would say his intellect and skill with magic, but really its his kind and caring heart, because when he truly cares about something or someone he is single-minded, determined and driven to act.
What is your motto?
I walk slowly, but never backwards.
What is your most treasured possession?
His most treasured possession is the Steelbear family ring his adopted father gave him when he was adopted to show him that he was apart of their family. He always wears it.
Race: Human
Class: Wizard (Conjurer) (Sin Magic Specialist: Sloth)
Multicassing: No
Prestige Classes: No
New Years Drink: Sparkling Grape Juice
Marquis' Drink: A fine wine, nothing less for the best.

Garrick ir'Kraal
Garrick grew up in Karrlakton, in the shadow of the Deneith stronghold. Such an upbringing certainly ensures martial puissance, but he didn't feel at home because he believed that Deneith distanced itself from Karrnath when it should be thankful to the nation that facilitates its prosperity. Much of this line of thought came from his parents, both having served the crown. His mother, before she died, was a medical officer; his father a field commander in the Royal Army. Now retired, his father has aged to the point that he rarely makes it out of his modest estate, and is looked after by his servants. After his mother's passing, his father moved to the city that sprung up around the outside of the Rekkenmark academy, and occasionally gives speeches to graduating classes, when his age permits him to leave the home.
Born in 968YK, Garrick came of age in 986YK. In 992, he graduated Rekkenmark academy and served as an officer in the army until the end of his commission a little more than a year after the Last War ended. He served along Karrnath's borders with Thrane and Aundair during the war and along the Karrnath-Talenta border after the war. He left the service to explore the continent, the constant reminders of past conflict in Karrnath were too depressing so soon after the war. Uninterested in living amongst his more bitter enemies, he traveled to Breland and sought the life of a paid adventurer, in the hopes that the goal he was paid for would be less poisoned by politics...
Regarding the sources you tend to draw from, I would say:
Game of Thrones: Garrick would get along with the Hound on a personal level but consider him rather stupid. He would appreciate Tyrion's intelligence and skills, and Tywin's masterful battlefield leadership, Eddard's grim determination. From KoTOR he would appreciate the Mandalorian's lust for battle and glories past, and would like (at least my main character's) grey jedi approach.
I know i picked an ACG class which you don't particularly like, and I normally don't either (the few I have played have usually been underwhelming, mechanically, from their parent classes) but when I saw this class (particularly Steelblood and Black Blood/Arcane) I immediately thought such a character would be great from Karrnath, so I had to give it a shot.
What country were you born in? Do you currently call Breland your home? Do you think Breland is a 'good' government? (Do you trust it, love it, proud to live here, etc.)
Karrnath. While Garrick doesn't call Breland his home, he does currently live there. Nothing will compare to the feeling of being 'home' he has while in Karrnath, but Breland isn't so bad, at least for people in his situation. The people generally have more freedoms, and it would appear there are less sinister groups vying for overt power (whether this is true or not, he doesn't know). He doesn't trust or distrust it, he likes it but does not love it, and he is nether proud nor ashamed to live there, though he considers his living there to be temporary.
What does your character lie about? Their weight? That they passed a test for some organization, when the truth is they never took it? That they love their siblings, who are truly awful?
His service in the war. Part of what inspired him to leave service when his time was done were his actions in the ruins that were once Shadukar. He and his company slaughtered the Thranians there, man woman and child, before torching the place. Instead, he tells people he operated on the Talenta front. While that is true, his significant lie is a lie of omission, mostly.
What is your defining strength? Your ability to forgive? Your hammer? Your intelligence? Your ability to talk your way into and out of everything?
He can take the lead in dangerous situations. He is a trained leader and graduate of Rekkenmark, and led men in the last war in groups of varying size.
What is your motto? "You cannot fix what you cannot face," "Work hard, stay humble," "If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together."
"Death Holds no Terror." - While not a motto of his own invention, it was drilled into him in training. He charges headlong into battle, not fearing death but trusting his abilities and those of the people he chooses to surround himself with to see them through the fight.
What is your most treasured possession? Your sisters last letter to you, a pocket portrait of your dead lover, your lucky set of dice.
His Black Opal Ring that signifies that he is a graduate of Rekkenmark. His graduation from Rekkenmark was the proudest moment in his life so far.
If you had to list a class (yes it can change) what is your starting class and race for your character?
Human Bloodrager (Steelblood)
Do you plan on multi-classing? Prestige classes?
I don't have a plan for that. Bone Knight would be cool for the theme and flavor of it, but he won't qualify and i have no plans to multiclass to make him qualify. I just kinda like the idea of bone armor, bone weapons, etc.
What're you drinking for New Years? And what's your character drinking?
I drank Caipiranha and some bottles of Bohemian, my character would probably be drinking hot wine.

mittean |

Brilliant New Years, guys. All right, let's do one more round of questions.
Who are your characters heroes? Did they love the stories their mum read them as a kid of Matthias the blackhanded, who was redeemed from his wicked ways when he sacrificed himself to save the city of Tellmoradon? Or was Tira Yronforged, the champion of battle of the rails, your favorite hero to read about in the news prints during the Last War?
What kind of clothing do you wear? And what kind of clothing do you wear when you have to dress up?
What is your personal greatest failure? What is your personal greatest success?
And lastly, What is the sin that your character is the most susceptible to?

Ragnar Lothveld |

For most of Alric's childhood, his father was off fighting in the Last war. So, the main father figure around was his granddad. Alric grew up listening to his granddad tell stories of his time searching for relics and artifacts, trying to keep the more powerful artifacts out of the hands of warlords. The stories of great adventure with fantastic creatures and powerful magic are what fueled Alric's thirst for knowledge and set him on his path (his father's death and mother's disappearance is gasoline on the fire).
Alric Magnus is 5’8” 155 lbs., but is stronger than he looks. He has pale skin and dark wavy hair that always seems a bit unkempt. He wears basic adventuring clothes and leather armor. His dark blue (almost black) cloak covers, but doesn’t hide a sharp, curved blade on his side, as well as a dagger on his belt. When he dresses up he wears basic adventuring clothes with a dark blue (almost black cloak). . . I guess he doesn't dress up. Being in the ruins of an abandoned monastery by himself off and on for 3 years doesn't lead to much socialization.
Failure is only opportunity for learning. Though, his greatest regret is not spending enough time with his father after the Last War. He never did get a chance to know him before his untimely death.
His greatest accomplishment is following in the footsteps of his granddad and learning the ways of a kensai. He's still got a lot to learn; but following through on the long path of enlightenment his granddad set him upon and learning to focus his arcane energy through his blade has earned him his granddad's respect.
Pride: Though he strives for humility, he can't help but see his thirst for knowledge and way of life a step above everything and everyone else.
Good luck to everyone.

Ferus Miaren |

Round 4:
Who are your characters heroes? Did they love the stories their mum read them as a kid of Matthias the blackhanded, who was redeemed from his wicked ways when he sacrificed himself to save the city of Tellmoradon? Or was Tira Yronforged, the champion of battle of the rails, your favorite hero to read about in the news prints during the Last War? He doesn't really have any real heroes aside from the one who raised him and taught him his values and morals. He hopes to be just like her, in her kindness and her firmness when needed.
What kind of clothing do you wear? And what kind of clothing do you wear when you have to dress up? He wears simple tunic and hides, preferring what he was able to piece together to wear as he grew up. He's never had to dress up, so he would probably look out of sorts if he had to go to any kind of dressing-up event.
What is your personal greatest failure? What is your personal greatest success? Personal greatest failure would be that he couldn't prevent Mother Fortuna from dying. He would consider performing the rites for her passing to be his greatest success at the moment. He feels that she would have been proud of how well he performed them for her.
And lastly, What is the sin that your character is the most susceptible to? Wrath, probably, if angered though he is very slow to anger.

Garrick ir'Kraal |

Who are your characters heroes? Did they love the stories their mum read them as a kid of Matthias the blackhanded, who was redeemed from his wicked ways when he sacrificed himself to save the city of Tellmoradon? Or was Tira Yronforged, the champion of battle of the rails, your favorite hero to read about in the news prints during the Last War?
Garrick grew up steeped in the tales of Karrnathi national heroes, so those are the ones he likes the most; however, he could appreciate tales of patriotism from other nations as long as they didn't run afoul of Karrnath.
What kind of clothing do you wear? And what kind of clothing do you wear when you have to dress up?
Garrick wears plain, functional clothing. Having left the service, he eschews the Karrnathi military uniform, but he still appreciates the functionality of clothing that mimics military clothing (extra pockets, thicker material, etc.).
When dressing up, he prefers clothing that is elegant by virtue of its cut and cloth, rather than choosing things with added embellishments (Think like what Petyr Baelish would wear early on in the GoT TV show. Simple, cut to fit, but nice material without all the added symbols of house or rank.).
What is your personal greatest failure? What is your personal greatest success?
Garrick's greatest failure would be, to him, not moving on from his past. The actions at Shadukar haunted him, though he feels that he should have moved on and not let it bother him like many others he sees (whether this is true of them, or they secretly battle with their own demons, he doesn't know. He just thinks they seem to be handling it better than him).
Garrick's greatest success, and defining moment in his life, was graduating Rekkenmark. That said, he cannot rest on those laurels forever, especially since he is no longer active duty in the military (more like ready reserve) and especially as he is in a country that, at times, fought against his own in the war; further compounded by the fact that most folks don't want war relics like him around.
And lastly, What is the sin that your character is the most susceptible to?
Wrath, of course. The fires of adrenaline in battle is part of what overcame him in Shadukar, and in fights he tends to lose himself, never feeling as "at home" as he does in a fight.
updated in alias profile as well.

Reth Kaskin |

Who are your characters heroes? Those who have walked the path of the Silver Flame in righteousness before him. The War itself was one of Greed and Reth does not consider those fighting for personal gain to be heroic.
What kind of clothing do you wear? And what kind of clothing do you wear when you have to dress up? Clothing which covers as much of his appearance as possible. Gloves, robes, neck guards, helms, masks, etc. Reth has had little opportunity to dress formally nor has he bothered besides prestly vestments when asked to do so.
What is your personal greatest failure? What is your personal greatest success? Reth's greatest failure was allowing himself to be freed from captivity by his own Church, that failure eats at him daily. His greatest success was retrieving an ite from the Mournlands for the Darkstar company. Though it was not in service to the Flame the success came after his escape and the Flame sitll heeded his prayers. This fave Reth the confidence to know that he still has an opportunity to redeem himself before his earthly Church.
And lastly, What is the sin that your character is the most susceptible to? Pide.

Vinexa |

Vinexa prefers to wear a blouse paired with a loose skirt reaching to mid thigh and her hair loose. When she needs to dress up she wears much the same though usually the dress is one much longer in length, and she'll at the least braid her hair tightly as well as add a bit of soot to her lashes and eyes to darken them. She always prefers clothing in either russet colors when informal, or fiery reds, oranges, and yellows when dressing up.
Her greatest failure was undeniably the loss of control at the news her father was dead. It caused her powers to run wild and destroy the entire village and this will haunt her til the end of her days. Her greatest success is ultimately her desire to go on and try to make something of herself, to keep going so her loved ones are never forgotten and to honor their memory by trying to make the world a better place.
The sin Vinexa is most vulnerable to is the sin of wrath, her demonic heritage already pushes her towards anger, hate, and destruction, her control of fire makes this even worse. When she becomes angry she becomes dangerous and volatile, lashing out without forethought at times. Despite this she always feels profound regret at what she has done and tries hard not to let that rage become her undoing again.

Satinder Hawkes |

Casts Wall of Text
Since coming home, his best friend has been young Tsuto Kaijitso. Satinder sees Tsuto undergoing much of the same torments that he endured as a child, with the added blessing and curse of a present father who happened to despise his existence. Lately he has found himself stepping into an older brother role for Tsuto, which has also brought him into closer contact with Tsuto's sister Ameiko. Ameiko is one of the few people in town for whom he tempers his bitterness, and while his motives may be impure he is undeniably a better person when he's around her. Denala, while initially mistrusted and shunned for her nationality and circumstances, has become well-liked by most of the town, her genial nature and fair dealings overcoming the town's early perceptions of her. She currently has Satinder's old room available to rent.
What does your character lie about?
Satinder lies about who he is, but the lie changes depending on who's listening. When he was a young boy in Sandpoint, he made up extravagant stories about his father's exploits--partially to combat the cruelty of the other children, but also to comfort himself. In Sharn, he lied about his roots entirely, glossing over his mother's heritage and his origins in first Droaam and then Sandpoint. Since his humiliating return to Sandpoint, he obscures the circumstances of his ejection from Sharn.
What is your defining strength?
Satinder's greatest strength is undoubtedly his keen mind. Despite his character flaws, he truly is brilliant, and he chafes at not being able to put that brilliance to use.
What is your motto?
"Power is a function of perception."
What is your most treasured possession?
At this time, his most treasured possession is a cane given to him as a parting gift by his mentor, Victor. The shaft is black-stained walnut, with a silver hawks-head for the grip. As much as he loves it, it usually stays in his room at the White Deer. He knows that such finery would be grossly out of place in Sandpoint.
Race: Human
Class: Investigator (Psychic Detective)
Multicassing:
No
Prestige Classes:
No
New Years Drink:
Belatedly, I wasn't really celebrating New Years, so I was having a Dew. Satinder enjoys a good glass of wine, though he feels that he hasn't actually found one since coming back to Sandpoint.
Satinder's most obvious hero is his recent mentor, Victor Saint-Demain. The master inquisitive lived up to his legend in every way, and then some. A little deeper, though, lies the hero that he hopes for--his father. Despite years without contact and being unable to find any solid leads in Sharn, a part of him clings desperately to the hope that his father is an amazing man who has a perfectly understandable reason for abandoning him. Finally, when he was young, his mother told him tales of witches and monsters, and the heroes who fought or outsmarted them. These legends have faded in his memory, though something of them still remains, buried deep.
What kind of clothing do you wear? And what kind of clothing do you wear when you have to dress up?
Satinder sold most of his clothes when he left Sharn, but what he kept is quite fine by Sandpoint standards. His usual outfit is double-breasted dark vest over a long-sleeved shirt, tucked into dark trousers, which are then tucked into short boots. He also wears reading glasses when he needs to do bookwork.
If he feels like dressing better, he adds a long dark coat and a bowler hat, along with one of three silk cravats. He also has a particularly fine outfit given to him by his mother when he left for Sharn that he's never worn. He was going to wear it when he finished his apprenticeship with Victor, but since that apprenticeship was truncated he feels that he will probably never wear it.
What is your personal greatest failure? What is your personal greatest success?
As far as Satinder is concerned, his greatest failure was failing to maintain his place in Sharn. He often thinks to himself that if he'd managed to become a little better-connected, or made more of a name for himself, that he wouldn't have been dismissed so quickly.
His greatest success, though, was realizing how quickly he could rise in society, once he understood the game. He realized that people are essentially puzzles, and once you solve them, you can have all kinds of things.
And lastly, What is the sin that your character is the most susceptible to?
Definitely pride. It is, in fact, his pride that is keeping him trapped in Sandpoint--if he were willing to let go of some of his mannerisms and use his skills to make Sandpoint better, he would undoubtedly find himself with all manner of fantastic opportunities. Because he refuses to "lower" himself, though, he can do nothing to change the town's perspective of him as a selfish egotist.

Questions Round 4

mittean |

We're heading into the final 24 hours! I appreciate everyone coming along for the recruitment. I will announce tomorrow evening after midnight my time those who I will select.
This hasn't been easy to choose from. I spent four hours last night going over the characters exhaustively, looking for characters I felt would work together, and be intriguing to hear their stories. I still have not made up my mind for all of the spots. :)
I appreciate everyone who participated in some of the questions I asked as we went along, allowing us to get to know your character better. I've personally felt the questions to be an enormous success, and wanted you to know several of you definitely gained points in my book from the answers you gave. They were thoughtful, and had great hooks and atmosphere. It really allowed you to make your characters stand out.

Edelsmirge |

Round Four.... fight!
Heroes: the every day darkness and grim nature of the seedy underbelly of life makes his mind tell him heroes are a lie, but his heart longs for courageous souls and epic heroes that save the day.
Clothing: a wide brimmed hat, a long cloak with hood down, beaten but well polished boots, and a slightly tattered vest and travelling pants.
Dessing up... whats that?
Greatest failure: his inability to stop using chemical substances to augment his abilities. He knows he is better but cannot stop
Greatest success: discovering the wide wicked drug trade that wraps its claws through everything and must be stopped! Even as he falls he must stop the very trade and save those he can.
Sin: perhaps beneath it all it is greed, the greed to be greater then the sum of his parts...
Good luck one and all, I have enjoyed the process and hope for the best!

Arkus's heroes are those who have stuck with the life of being farmers, shopkeepers, those who have chosen the mundane life and stuck with it despite their own dreams.
Being driven with nothing to hold him back, Arkus often wonders what he could have being if not driven to what he is now. Sadly these thoughts don't last long as the next mission comes along and he accepts with little regard to its possible consequences to himself.
Dressed for the wilds or the city, Arkus is certain to be dressed for the occassion. Even the latest high fashion is not spared his eye for details as even a formal squire's outfit can be tailored to allow a hidden blade or two within.
Considering among his greatest failures, he failed to retrieve a family heirloom sword from a Karnithi Bone Knight having discovered the man was a bastard gifted a last gift from his father as means of atonment. He reported back to the former's family and was severely beaten for his failure. He left with his head high despite suffering several broken ribs.
Battle Hardened, Vicious even and willingness to undertake underhanded methods all underscored by a fatal weakness. Arkus is a bit sentimental to those outcast or downridden by the dregs of high society. Always more than ready to bring about his Wrath upon those he deems slighted.
if asked abou his heroes, Lokien laughs and points that you and I are heroes for just being who we are. If pressed for it, he galdly names several dwarven names and other fighers of geat renown be it fiction or real.
Clothing is always in various shades of brown and brass, usually in the most least restrictive cut he can manage. Having patches or holes in it doesn't affect him the least though it could be drafty in some places.
Lokien greatest failure is likely the lack of hindsight as he tends to throw himself into whatever good brawl he can get. Every day alive after some fight is a success. getting friends out as well could be a bigger success. His companions might beg to differ on that.
If there's ever a vice Lokien has, it's Gluttony.....He loves to eat.
After all in his own words.
"You never know when you might never eat or drink fine foods and wine again."

Marquis Steelbear |

Who are your characters heroes?
Marquis' heroes are this ancestors. While he was growing up with no memories of his birth family or their heritage he loved hearing all about the adventure of his adopted ancestors.
What kind of clothing do you wear? And what kind of clothing do you wear when you have to dress up?
He usually wears boots, cotton breeches, a white shirt, leather vest and an ample cloak which obscures most of his body. He usually leaves the cloak’s hood down so he can wear his favorite hat, a fedora. When he dresses up he usually sticks to a nice suit in the latest style, but never for longer than is absolutely necessary.
What is your personal greatest failure? What is your personal greatest success?
His greatest failure is that he and his adoptive father being unable to find Marquis' family. This instilled in him a fear of failure which is the core of his laziness.
His greatest success would be mastering his families special Sloth magic.
And lastly, What is the sin that your character is the most susceptible to?
Sloth, if this wasn't obvious already. He is susceptible to his fear of failure to the point where he will lie to himself that he doesn't care about whatever it is and in turn does nothing instead of asking.

Alright, closing in on the deadline, just a few hours away. I'm excited. :)
Spent the evening dealing with a debacle, as I was t-boned by a big truck this evening. All is well, and it...appears...there were no injuries. Cars messed up, but I think I was...lucky...that it was a national tow agency that hit me. They are planning on assuming 100% of the damages and costs.
But, yeah. Fun. :)
Let's go adventure!

mittean |

I do hope everything is resolved easily as well, and thank you for your kind words.
Alright, I have deliberated at length over the many wonderful characters that were submitted.
There were a few things I was looking for:
1. Did you make me smile?
I love a truly visceral response. I wanted to see if reading your description made me respond.
2. Did you compel me?
At the end of the description, did I immediately want to know more?
3. Was I reading about Rey or was I reading about Luke Skywalker, Jedi Master in hiding?
Was I reading about someone who was a hero already, or a person ready to have their life interrupted, and caught up in extraordinary circumstances?
I want the characters in this story to feel like Peter Parker before the spider, like Frodo before Bilbo's birthday, like Tony Stark before captivity. They are high school students, and hobbits, and yes billionaires...but not heroes. Vulnerable. But once destiny grabs them by the scruffs of their necks and shakes them like a chew toy, they become something more.
4. The quality of the writing.
I want someone who can use their words in a compelling fashion, who knows how to use a comma, and is not afraid of doing it. Someone who can craft a beautiful description, but can also allow brevity to carry a moment.
5. Did you give me a monster to slay?
This will take a little explaining. I was looking for stories that were compelling, but that also gave me...hints. Moments that I could play with, tug, and scratch at. Something that I could draw a vivid, colorful tattoo on their lives, and have it fit both their character concept, and my story. Something I could use to push their character into places they fear, or scenarios they might be uncomfortable confronting. Driving emotions of guilt, greed, desire, anger. Secrets, misunderstandings and prejudices. I want the greatest monster that you fight in the game to be yourself, and your past.
6. Was your character breathing?
Did the character feel alive? Real. Vulnerable? Could I sense memories hanging un-typed from your character, ready to fill out the corners of their life? This is a hard one to explain, but if you've ever read a story with a lead character you just can't identify with, who is forgettable, it's likely because they weren't breathing, living. They were archetypes, with names and looks and explosions...but not great characters.
7. Did I feel you would work well, and fight well, with others?
I looked at many combinations of characters (and can't tell you how many campaigns I want to run with just two of you, just to have your characters Foil each other, lol). I needed to see where they would work together with common goals, but different motivations, and see where they would conflict, but still cooperate.
These were the qualities I was looking for. All of you had some of these, some had most. A couple had all of them.
The questions you answered absolutely swayed me, and brought out some of the strongest parts of your characters for me.
I did look at your posting history, but that was not the most important. (Prior to them needing to back out for other commitments, I was planning on inviting a first timer to these boards).

So, with that said, I would like to invite the following characters to head on over to the Discussion thread, and we'll get started on building your characters. :)
Satinder Hawkes
Engineer #3
Daxur
Watches-Shadow-Behind-You
Garrick ir'Kraal
Khravos Vortensis
Thank you again everyone for the time you put in to answer and ask questions.
I will likely repeat this last part again later, but if you come across this thread after it's closing, and take a look at the campaign and feel compelled to want to be a part of it, PM me with a character pitch, and I will consider adding you in partway through the campaign. :)
